We dined at Jack's three times during our stay at the Portola Hotel. Once for a quick bite in the lounge overlooking the gorgeous fireplace and then once for dinner and breakfast in the far end of the large expansive lobby. For dinner and breakfast we were seated against a walled area which was quieter. All three servers were polite, friendly, and proficient. Elegant and modern yet relaxed and comfortable ambiance, prompt, friendly, and attentive service, and very well prepared and delicious food. And, a wonderful drink and wine selection.

Ordered drinks, sourdough bread, filet minon and filet minon sandwich. Great Old fashion, and Jacks Mule (their version of Moscow mule).
Bread was warm and soft but a little bland. Filet steak was tender, flavorful and side great as well. Filet sandwich was a little tough.
