Not a place for an Italian restaurant atmosphere, or exceptional personal service. Our server kept calling us “you guys”. The black cod of my date was dry, its piccata sauce was scant, but the Cajun spice was nice and the veggies were cooked nicely. My seafood linguine had ample salmon and medium shrimps, with 3 dry mussels and 3 small dry clams. The tomato cream sauce was nice, but I felt $65 for these 2 entrees was high. We have been coming here for decades. Yesterday we came in and one young lady greeted us with a smile, but the other people at the host stand - nothing. We almost had to speak first. We get seated easily - we had a reservation - by a window - we always do - BUT, and this has been happening frequently lately and NEVER EVER used to, we were ignored for 10 minutes! So my husband and I took a trip down to Monterey, it is so beautiful and peaceful. We decided to get dinner and chose this place. I must say the atmosphere is gorgeous, we were able to sit outside next to the beautiful water and watch boats and sea loins.
