Food is good, great stop if you have kids for fast service and pizza everyone loves. You cannot try pick from New York style or Neapolitan style crusts. Staff was nice, but not super friendly. They have outdoor and indoor seating which is nice.

We had such a beautiful night here. They has dough for the kids to play with! The pizza here is the star for sure and I would not skip it in favor of the pastas which i did not really enjoy much. Salad was also fresh and enormous portions. the ambiance is very warm, cozy and they had live music on a monday night that made the restaurant so pleasant and relaxed, I felt like I wanted to stay for another hour just to soak in the lovely atmosphere.

Pizza was ok. Service was both good and not. On the one hand, they moved a table focus, on the other, they forgot glasses, condiments, served the pizzas one at time, and the live jazz was too loud.

⭐☆☆☆☆ Birthday Disappointment – Poor Service and Cold Food

Sadly, our experience at MidiCi Monterey was another big letdown on our road trip—and it happened on my birthday, which made it even more disappointing.

We were a family of three and ordered a meat board appetizer, two Margherita pizzas, and one penne arrabbiata. After ordering and paying at the front, the pasta arrived just 5 minutes later—before anything else. The waitress placed it in front of me, and I politely asked, “What about the appetizer? We’re celebrating a birthday and were hoping to eat together.”

Her response was surprisingly rude: “Do you want me to put the pasta in the warmer?” Honestly—what kind of question is that? I asked her instead to please remake the pasta later so it could be served fresh with the rest of the food.

When the meat board finally came out, it was another letdown. Two of the salamis looked questionable—slimy and slightly green. Definitely not fresh.

Another staff member noticed it was my birthday and kindly offered a complimentary dessert, which I appreciated. But the problems didn’t stop. When the pizzas and the new pasta were finally served, the pizzas were cold and the pasta was overcooked and overheated—clearly not fresh. At that point, I gave up. I couldn’t believe we had paid $120 for cold pizza, mushy pasta, an unappetizing appetizer, and poor service.

And the dessert? They forgot it completely. No birthday treat, no smile, no effort to make things right.

So, MidiCi—please do better. The quality of food and service does not match the high prices. I wouldn’t recommend this place, especially if you’re celebrating something special. We left completely disappointed.

We were drawn to the promise of a Neopolitan Pizza experience. The sounds of a local jazz band playing and the Monterey downtown vibe on a Sunday night elevated our anticipation. Jeremy, the owner, was hospitable and engaged us in a welcoming conversation about his business and attention to ingredients and preparation techniques. We enjoyed a side salad and Marguerite with added sausage and onions. The ingredients are of high quality. We were thoroughly satisfied by the taste and quality and would recommend a visit to meet Jeremy and the team to enjoy the magic that they create!

We drove over 2 and a half hours to Monterey Bay for my birthday. On the way home we decided to stop by here because we used to have one in our town but they closed and it was favorite. I’m so happy that we did! The staff and owner here are amazing! Not only did they wish me a happy birthday but made me something special too!!! Thank you so much your kindness and food are the best ❤️

Went in for the first time. There was miscommunication from the beginning (no big deal) had to find a table, then get up and order. Ordered and food started to slowly come ) we only
Ordered 3 items. Except for one item. It took 40 minutes to get the item and only because my husband got up to check the order. Would not go again.

We visited Monterey on 4th of July weekend.
While walking downtown, we smelled the aroma of freshly made Pizza at Midici.
Walking in, to learned they have an amazing Happy Hour menu from 4-6 M-F.
Also, have Live Jazz on Thursday and Sunday nights.
So we tried the Meatballs and Mozzi sticks. And also ordered their flagship pasta, Lasagne.
The food was delicious and the staff were Great!
Check out Midici if you’re in-town!

The tiramisu is good but not worth the wait for 15mins for such a small piece. Its also $13 for a small slice. For this portion should go like $8 for the area. The slices in San Francisco average $6-7 for a bigger slice and taste as good as this. Also waiter forgot to add a fork for a takeout..

Absolutely wonderful!!! We can’t out for dinner this evening and everything was fantastic!!! I got “the fig, the pig and the goat” pizza and it was delicious. I also enjoyed the burrata caprese and cheese bread. The service was great and our waitress was lovely. Food came out hot and super fast. Can’t recommend this place enough. We will definitely come back the next time I’m in Monterey!!!

The ordering system is a mess. Nobody tells you you’re supposed to order on the QR code when walking in. They missed an entree when I eventually managed to order from the kiosk. The garden pizza was awful. Burrata caprese and the pasta was amazing. They did arrange a tiramisu cake for us which was nice. Having to get up for a diet coke and walk across all the way to the other side of restaurant is astounding when there are waiters standing beside you doing nothing. Enjoyed the experience, would not go again just because of the service experience.

Had the truffle pizza here. The crust was perfectly crisp, and the blend of mozzarella, mushrooms, and truffle oil was rich without being too heavy. The truffle aroma hits you right away.

Great wood-fired pizzas at MidiCi — lovely! We ordered takeout: the « Chicken Alfredo Pizza » and « The Fig, The Pig & The Goat ». Special mention for the latter — really delicious and well-balanced.

Service was okay. I was kindly offered a glass of water while waiting, which was a nice touch. However, no one let me know when the pizzas were ready, so I ended up waiting a bit longer than needed. A small downside, but overall a positive experience!
