Local seafood restaurant that seems very popular. Food can be good, but some items are better than others. The seafood pasta is excellent, the fish dishes were OK, the strip lion steak was surprisingly good, but the calamari steak was disappointing. It was very thing and had more batter than squid. We had steam clams and crab cake appetizer which was decent. Prices were pretty high and it cost us $50 pp without drinks. There are no kids menu. The restaurant is on the small side...
Visiting the area for our anniversary and we weren’t feeling the vibe at the wharf. We had passed this place yesterday and saw a few people waiting out front and thought it might be worth the try. It’s a small and unassuming restaurant. Once we walked in we knew it was good! Every seat occupied and the place was running like a machine. The hostess was very friendly, professional and efficient. Our server, Douglass, had a rain man ability to recite all of the specials...
I’ve driven past Fish House many many times and always wondered about the long line outside of an unassuming little building. Finally went to give it a try and wasn’t disappointed.
The line was long, but the wait was short. Less than 20 minutes which is pretty good considering I had no reservation and there was at least a half dozen other groups waiting too.
Our server was helpful and kind, food was fantastic! Very fresh.
May be pricey...
