This used to be my go-to breakfast spot when visiting Monterey but never again after my most recent experience. I was brought the wrong order twice. When finally getting my “order”, it included the wrong potatoes with a $2 up charge! The waitress forgot to bring toast for another order and the amount of butter was almost non-existent. Overall, food was very disappointing. We had to get our final bill corrected twice. Sadly, the restaurant was not busy during our visit, perhaps representing the recent decline in quality and service.

The quality of food and service has significantly declined over time. During our most recent visit, we were brought the wrong order twice before finally getting an order that was only partially correct. By the time adjustments were made so that we received our actual orders, the food was cold and poorly cooked. Check your bill - we had to get it corrected twice! The coffee was good, but that was about it.

Worst coffee we have tested. Ordered. Waited a long time. Tasted. Payed. And left to find another coffee. No one even cared why...

I asked for 3 eggs benedicts and my server answered “pouched” so I assumed it was the same as eggs Benedict are also pouched. It turned out that I got something else than I wanted, but I could clearly see other people getting eggs benedicts (with the yellow sauce on top). So the waitress could have done a better job explaining the breakfast options. The food was OK, but nothing exceptional and the price for value was quite steep. I also prefer coffee with a rich taste, but they instead serve filter coffee that tastes almost like water.

It was an OK experience and maybe you can pick something better than I had, but still, I think there are much better choices for breakfast or brunch than this one. 🤷🏻‍♂️

This is a nice little cozy place to eat if you're looking for a familiar home diner experience.
For the food, their portions are bigger than expected given how tasty the food can be. Fair warning though, you can taste the flour in the pancakes :) The staff are lively and quick on their feet.
Will come again.

The food is fresh and super tasty, and the vibe is cozy and welcoming. The staff are always friendly and helpful. It can get a little busy sometimes, but it’s definitely worth a visit if you want a great start to your day! 🌞

Had high hopes based on reviews but was pretty disappointed. Despite advertising hashbrowns on the menu which came with most of the breakfast items, they were out of them that day, which is fine, but if you wanted to get homefries instead, you still had to pay the $2 upcharge. I find that bad business if you are out of a product you normally have and have a pretty similar alternative (also, why cant you just shave the potatoes down into hashbrowns?). Food was pretty average, the home fries had a very strong lemon after taste which we thought was weird. At least the eggs were cooked properly and the sourdough was good. Would have rated higher if the prices reflected the quality of the food (it is kind of expensive for what you get). Would not go here again and would look elsewhere if you are visiting Monterey.

Great American breakfast stop! My family loves stopping here when we are in town, something for everyone on the menu and a good basic cup of coffee.

Staff is friendly and there is plenty of seating, but we always try to get there early to avoid a wait!

Best breakfast burrito in Monterey hands down. Generous portions. Tasty but not overseasoned. It was a bit more expensive but you get what you pay for here and it was worth every dime. I had to clarify my restrictions and preferences yet they were delivered correctly and to satisfaction.
