Loved this old school spot with counter seating and delicious straight forward classic donut options (nothing weird or gourmet). And it was reasonably priced.

Went to Red's on Saturday, March 2nd for the first time. I'll give 3 ratings since I tried three different donuts. 1) 5/5* and my favorite I ordered was the Apple Fritter!! Just perfect in every way you can think of. Don't skip the Apple Fitter 2) 5/5* Maple Bacon Donut. Sweet, salty, and savory all in one accompanied with an incredibly soft and fluffy middle. 2nd favorite and simply outstanding. 3) 3.5/5* Cinnamon Crumb Donut. Good but didn't hit like the other two. I would eat it again but not necessarily order it again. Dryer than the other two and the cinnamon was a bit overpowering in comparison to the sugar/sweetness. One of the very best donut shops I've ever been to. Make sure you stop by Reds!!! Unbelievable quality and friendly service. 5/5 easy and that's a difficult score for me to give out but they deserve it!!!

Great location, but that’s about it. I would go elsewhere for donuts.

Got 18 doughnuts. All of them were great.Left doughnuts in the back of the car. Somehow the bacon doughnut went missing. Dog has no idea what happened.

Stumbled across red donuts near Tyler Street, which in my opinion is the best street in Monterey right after Cannery Row!

The donuts are consistently bad. The jelly in the jelly donut tastes like cough syrup and the cake donuts are even worse. I have no idea why people love this place so much. The woman who works in the morning is always super rude and unhelpful.

Just in the mood to get some sweets so we thought we would stop in and try this place. It's a somewhat narrow shop (that in pictures online made me think of an old-fashioned barber shop). On their wall were pictures of clowns which was colorful and different. The woman working there was quick to serve us. I got a cinnamon roll and my husband got an apple fritter. The apple fritter was fine (maybe not necessarily as well done or crispy as he'd probably prefer). The cinnamon roll was also alright. Not my favorite, but worth eating the whole entire thing. For both things it was $2.50 so decently priced.

Best donuts in town but go by early because they close early if they sell out and they always do

i stopped in for an apple fritter & the lady behind the counter was nice & friendly, the fritter was outstanding, so fresh & delish, they have the typical assortments, next time i'll try the coffee, they have a small section to sit & relax

Red Donuts ate served at the Marriott Monterey breakfast buffet. How fantastic! My wife said the cinnamon crumble donut was the best cake donut she has ever had.

Lovely woman who served us wonderful donuts - only $1.25. Worth a stop when in Monterey!
