Husband and I went and enjoyed some streak and shrimp hibachi, 2 sushi rolls, and the star of the show the butter and chili edamame! EVERYTHING was so good! Great waiter, nice view, would definitely recommend!

This is my second time here, I like the seafood seaweed rice, the squid is great! The price is not cheap though, 100 dollars for two people, but the location is great, you can sit by the window and see the port and the sea.

It was amazing everything was perfect I can’t wait to go back strongly recommend.

While vacationing in Monterey we decided to try Sapporo. We weren't in the mood for sushi but luckily they offered other entrees. I ordered the Oyster Mushroom Steak and chose the rib eye. It was really tasty and the meat was so tender. We heard loud drums in another part of the restaurant which I think they could have had Japanese musicians and dances. We didn't go see what was going on but it sounded like fun.

Always a great experience. Sat down for a great sushi dinner and had a truly wonderful waitress who we enjoyed interacting with. We were pleased with the taste, freshness, and appearance of each item we ordered. It was fun to see some special items delivered to tables near us.

This is a very nice restaurant! Everything is well kept and clean, the staff is friendly, gives great service, and gives off good, happy energy. They have a lovely, little bar area that looks well kept and clean. The sushi chefs have seating at the sushi bar. We did the hibachi where they cook in front of you, and the chef was awesome and gave us a great experience. He's a Rockstar in our eyes!

Honestly one of the best sushi restaurants I have ever been to. Have traveled around a lot and nothing compares to this place. The food is to die for and sitting above the water in the bay is amazing. My wife and I have since moved away but would travel back and vacation in Monterey just for this restaurant! The staff is beyond excellent and extremely kind. Couldn’t recommend this place more and if you’re wanting top of the line sushi with amazing drinks, this is the place to be.

terrible service, you come to a restaurant with your wife, eat, and they take an 18% tip from you, you ask why they did it, and they show you the second menu (the one with appetizers, not the main one), at the bottom there is a small sign, they take an 18% tip if the company is 5+ people. Yes, there were two of us, but they should warn you about such things in advance, we split the bill (not so that there would be no tip), but because I was actually eating with my wife, the second family was just for company and ate separately

Do me a favor and order the Best of the Best roll because it was truly amazing and I’m already craving it again lol the service was awesome & loved having a great view of the water— can’t rave about this place enough!

This was a really wonderful restaurant. The service coming in was top notch. Super friendly and fast service. I initially was excited for miso soup and the waiter notice and got me clear soup instead! The building itself is a super pretty. Great views of the wharf. The building is separated with normal seating or the hibachi side. I was still able to order the hibachi on the normal dinning side. The chicken hibachi was good but did not like the sauce that came with. I think that would be worked on a bit. But overall a great restaurant. Pretty good price for hibachi too!

Always good. It's probably our 15th time back here but always delicious and picturesque views. Staff is always nice and attentive.
