Looks like it's closed, not sure if it is temporary or not.

Two words: Heated bench. Good coffee and perfect place to chill for a bit and take in the scenery. The staff are cool and the snacks are decent. It is a bit hidden away but if you find it, its a great place to relax and have a lazy morning.

This review is long overdue! We go down to Monterey often and I visited this cafe a few years ago. The ambience is so relaxing and their coffees and teas never disappoint. My favorite tea to get here is their Happy Tea. Love it so much I purchased a bag to take home! We stop at the cafe every time we're in the area.

Happened upon this spot on a walk through town. Great pour over coffee and outdoor area. Perfect for the needs of COVID. Staff was really helpful in helping me order from their variety of roasts and I ended up with a great cup of coffee. My order didn't take long. Just enough time to enjoy the warmed bench which was a treat for the tush.

I don't write there a lot , but felt like I should in this case. Nice area. Heated benches. Woman that took our order nor the employees were wearing masks the entire time. I ordered a muffin and as soon as the woman handed it to me and it fell on the ground. She responded with ' ohh no, well 30 second rule, right?' Thought she would of replaced the item. Didn't think that was very good customer service at all.

Fantastic, fresh gluten free, vegan treats, and definitely not just for vegans or gluten free eaters :) The almond biscotti were out of this world. Cute little spot as well, just steps from busy Cannery Row

A Pour Over Delight with an Excellent Various Assortment of Teas Uniqueness: Only Pour Overs Here (No Espresso Drinks) and Plentiful Choices of Various Teas Wait Time: [x][x][x][x][ ] Drink Quality: [x][x][x][x][x] Service: [x][x][x][x][x] Setting: [x][x][x][x][ ] Recommendation? Yes from me! Looking for a Cafe without the Espresso Vibes of your typical coffee shop? Then Studio Cafe is one of the perfect places that you can stop by to enjoy a nice pour-over or a cup of their fresh teas with homemade honeys harvested in the nearby farms of Monterey/Salinas. Studio Cafe has been in Monterey for a couple years now and is definitely a nice spot to stand out compared to the ordinary Starbucks that you see in Cannery Row. As I mentioned, this place does not serve your lattes, cappuccinos, or Caramel Frappachinos that Starbucks has. Coffee-wise, Studio Cafe only serves Pour-Overs from various beans and prepared on the spot when you order. Wait time is a bit long as expected for pour-overs but due patience comes out with a good reward. And I must say, their coffees here are made perfectly every time. Drinking without cream and sugar, the pour-over that I had (Road Dog) was well balanced and not diluted one bit. It was a great pour-over indeed. I came here another time to try their teas (Fukamushi Sencha) and it was a great cup of tea, not too bitter and not too scolding hot. The service is was friendly with just a two staff crew helping make the drinks and get the orders. They have some local pastries on display but it wasn't too extraordinary to try. It's not too common that you'd see a pour-over/tea shop nowadays but you'll have no problem enjoying what Studio Cafe has to offer here if you are a fan of the mentioned. Come by, buy a drink, and sit outside in their little piazza to enjoy the nice Monterey day with a perfect cup of coffee at Studio Cafe as I know I will be hoping to come back for more, and will recommend to others too.

Beautiful shop. Its really private-feeling, even downtown near Cannery Row. The tea was wonderful!

Pour over coffee and treat, despite being gluten-free, good.

Brian and I strolled along the Wave pave and stumbled upon a quaint adorable coffee/tea cafe called Studio Cafe. Studio Cafe sells top notch coffee and tea. For coffee goods, they serve it dripped and the teas are handmade. SC also have a couple of baked goods and sandwiches to-go to go along with your tea or coffee. After a couple of minutes of being indecisive, I went along with a piping hot Passion Fruit Jasmine Tea. Even though the Jasmine in the tea was faint, I got a punch of passion fruit notes which tastes delightful. Despite me being indecisive and testing Brian and the older barista's patience, I got wonderful customer service and a nice piping hot tea at the end of the day!

It's a very pretty and quiet spot off of the main drag. Really good coffee.

I have several words to describe this coffee shop/studio: relaxing, calming, clean, contemporary, and delicious! You may think we are a little odd as tourists, but one of our main goals while on vacation, is to try out as many small business owned coffee venues within our vicinity of our stay. Joe K. has an affinity for "pour over" coffee, and I love a good, rich mocha! While on our daily stroll, we came upon this interesting shop that had a lovely patio area near the entrance. Complete with warming concrete benches, flowers, native plants, and trickling waterfall with goldfish leisurely enjoying the day. There is a very nice studio available where they teach yoga classes and sponsor other gatherings. A grand piano is one of the focal points of the room! As we entered the business itself, they had several specialty coffees and teas to choose from, including "pour over". I was a little surprised that they didn't offer mochas, which I thought was a standard staple. So Joe asked them if they could mix one together for me. The barista had me choose one of their main menu items and she proceeded to experiment with some chocolate syrup and milk into a "Motor City Espresso". After adding my own sugar, it turned out to be quite tasty and satisfying. Joe ordered the "Road Dog" which he really enjoyed. Since it was a quiet afternoon, we were able to spend extra time conversing with one of the owners who was very interesting to talk to. He let us wander around and check out the facility further. I was fascinated to find that the studio portion has a small room within that has a complete music sound system. Also, the bathrooms are clean and nicely decorated. This was one of our two favorite coffee shops in Monterey!
