My family and I liked this place very much. Staff was friendly. The food was good, the service was excellent, and the British ambiance was wonderful. You may want to take some pictures with your phone.
Stopped in here for a beer, very nice staff. Delicious food and great decor. I will say their sprite taste super crisp! We enjoyed our time and the atmosphere! Definitely recommend stopping by!
Didn’t realize this place closed at 11p according to Google. Door said “until close” and it looked really busy inside so we went in for pint. Several, if not all, staff saw us come in and had no specific acknowledgment. We sat at a table for a good 10min without being approached so we asked a sever coming by if we could get a pint and she promptly said no. As we got up and left the bar tender hit the last call bell signaling that we were indeed there in time for a pint but I digress. I get people have a life etc so I don’t want to judge but at the very least show some respect and inform incoming guest that being there is pointless. Felt very targeted and rude even though I am sure it wasn’t meant to be. The place itself looked awesome though with a pleasant crowd.
Ben is amazing at the bar and always attentive to the needs of his patrons. Curry fries are always a favorite here!
Must see! Great food, drinks and service!
Its a pub, but it has some of the best food in Monterey. Reasonably priced, good variety and friendly knowledgeable bartenders.

Saw the restaurant while working around the area. Looked busy and nice. Was standing near the patio looking for a host but nobody notice us until a good over 10 minutes. Waitress said she got a table for us and when we were about to be seated, we were told table is reserved and so there is a waiting list. Lady said it’ll be 25 minutes wait so me and my bf waited on the al fresco side of the pub where we were able to order some drinks and meag pie while waiting. Took over 40 mins for lady to get back at us and seat us and over 30 mins to get my bf’s meat pie since seated on the alfresco. Waiter also didnt give us menu and had to ask for it when he came back which is 10 mins since we got the meat pie. Also another over 30 mins for food to arrive. Was able to eat after over an hour of wait. Waiters are definitely not attentive also my steak was dry.

I enjoyed a beer and the fish and chips. Paid and left. Then noticed an additional charge on my credit card for an additional $65!! I called and left a message with the office with no return call. If the owner reads this please supply an email address so we can communicate and get this resolved. I’m an overseas visitor soon to be heading out of the country. Hope I get a response and will happily change my review if we can get some communication going….

This place is great! It’s an English style local watering hole with great bar tenders and tasty food.
Vegetarian options: There are a few options, the curry was great!

One of the coolest restaurants I’ve been to! Service was great, food was incredible, and their drink menu is vast. The coolest atmosphere as well — we didn’t want to leave! Definitely coming back.

Chuffed with the beer selection and fish and chips innit
Lots of fun, interesting and unique decor fitting the theme. Service was attentive and articulate, and waters were refilled, but soup wasn't delivered until after the entree. Sadly, the "icelandic cod" in "beer batter" was a sad and rather tasteless and tough piece of fish (maybe it was cod, maybe not) that was in fact served in panko type breadcrumbs, not a "batter" at all. This is "breaded" fish in British terms. And the chips were oven chips, not fried. As Brits excited to be in a town that seems to have about 4 restaurants serving fish and chips, we were disappointed in this offering and next time we go to Monterey we will try one of the other places.

If you're looking for a British pub that actually feels like a British pub, this is the place! They have Guiness and Old Speckled Hen on tap and brought be back to the year and a half I spent in North Wales.
