Avoid this place, they didn’t let my guests come to my table even though the place was empty

Food was definitely overrated.
I could make better fish and chips, and the clams chowder tasted like microwaved from a can!!
And it was a rainy and cold night, the server sat us outside without even asking if that’s okay and didn’t even ask out preference

We ordered fish and chips and cocktails. For the price of 28$ the amount of fish and chips was extremely small (comparing to other places). Crew in general looks tired and lifeless.
The biggest part was the tourist trap this place makes: outside there are signs with totally different prices for seafood, however once you are inside, prices in the menu are 70% higher. Very misleading, I believe on purpose.

We had an amazing experience at The Fish Hopper, thanks in large part to our wonderful server, Hugo. The food was absolutely delicious, and every single server we interacted with was incredible. Doors were always held open, our waters were refilled immediately, and the food came out piping hot without any wait. The view was truly the cherry on top — we were lucky enough to see both an otter and a seal right from our table! An unforgettable dining experience all around. Highly recommend.

Oh boy where do I start. Saying that this is not a kids friendly place is an understatement. When we entered, they directed us to a sign about keeping children's noise level down, or you will be removed from the premises. I find that extremely off putting.
They also refused to sit my family by the views even when the place was mostly empty (see photos). We had a little back and forth about that and made no progress, so it must be some kind of weird prejudiced seating policy.
On food, the swordfish was overcooked, dry, and tragic. Fish and chips is just panko battered. We had a better experience and tastier fish and chips at Bubba the day before (and the wait staff is friendlier).

We went to lunch at the Fish Hopper at around 12pm on Sunday. We were immediately put off by the signs at the door and front counter warning customers that if their children are disruptive they must be removed from the restaurant. This restaurant is a few blocks from the aquarium and in the middle of the wharf and it’s the only place that feels the need to warn parents about their children. You also can’t keep your stroller in the restaurant with you, you have to store it in a public hallway outside. The service was slow and the food was fine and comparable to other restaurants in the area. I hope the owner/manager realizes how off-putting the sign is about children. We will not be returning for this reason.

Yesterday we have been visiting this restaurant with my family. Everything was looking nice and food was not bad delicious but unfortunately we my wife has got poisoned. As soon we return to our hotel, she threw it out.. prices are very high, and we have been disappointed that it was for nothing. I had some stomachache too, but not critical but my wife unfortunately got poisoned.

The restaurant manager was up front overseeing the tabeling. She was so kind amidst the chaos of the Sunday lunch hours. We were sat within 30 minutes for a group of 12. The wait staff were fast and responsive. Rigo was our server and he brought everything out on time and together. Food was delicious!! We will definitely come back!

Do not believe the reviews online. This is the worst experience I have been in restaurant. The host is rude and shows no respect to us at all. The food is coming late. Waiting for 1 hour to be served.

$79.00 for Abolone and 3 Prawns. Prawns were pretty good. Abalone was extremely small. So small I thought it was an oyster at first. It was chewy and the taste was ok at best. The rice was the better than both the a b alone and the prawns
