We wish we had known about Wave Street Cafe sooner. What a great find! Excellent food, great service and outdoor seating with a view of Monterey Bay. I ordered the Chorizo Scramble and my partner ordered the Chicken Quesadilla. Both were superb! Large portions too! Great menu selection! We've made a pact to come back on a regular basis to try other items on the menu.

Nice view of the ocean! Right on the Rec path. Good house potatoes and fruit side with our breakfast sandwiches.

Apparently, you don't deserve service if you look a certain way. We didn't even get water. When we called them out on it at the end of our meal, they offered some bs about california law stating we have to ask for it. Problem is every other table had water. Also, they never came to check up on us after taking the initial order (had to literally call over a different waitress from a different table to ask about water). Even had to get up to pay. Absolutely pathetic service. It's a shame because the food was fantastic actually.

The crab cakes Benedict were fantastic! We got there just before the crowds started coming. Earlier is better!

This was hands down the best Steak and Eggs I’ve ever had. The steak was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and paired beautifully with the eggs. A brilliant touch is that the Eggs Benedict sauce comes on the side, letting you control every bite without overpowering the dish. The music sets an amazing vibe—relaxed yet lively—and elevates the whole experience. To top it off, the stunning view of Monterey Bay is simply breathtaking, making this not just a meal, but a memorable moment where great food, atmosphere, and scenery come together flawlessly.

The food here is delicious. Went on a Monday holiday and it was an hour wait time. Server came to the table a couple times and that was it. Maybe because they were busy but will definitely come back when it's less crowded. We had never been to this place and being from the area all my life it was a great new spot for us to come to.

Came here for lunch and ordered the breakfast burrito everything was average until the end where there was cardboard in the burrito. When we finally got a someone’s attention the waiter came over and wanted to charge us claiming it was our fault that we hadn’t alerted him sooner (this was the first time since we got our food) also the cardboard was at the bottom of the burrito so we did not know until I was over halfway finished. Nice view and heat lamps but inedible food and a bit rude.

I ordered over the phone, just an order of Cinnabun pancakes. I called at 12:30p and asked if it could be ready by 1:15p (45 minutes for only an order of pancakes) they said yes. I show up at 1:17pm and was told it would be a 15-30 minute wait. What? On top of the 45 minutes and the whole reason why i called ahead?
There wasnt a long line, all the tables werent filled. I think my order just fell through the cracks, but i am so dissapointed. The food is overpriced, but i could overlook that because they were honestly delicious. However, both the service + price being bad , cant overlook that.
Plus the gentleman at the computer whom i spoke to made the whole interaction very awkward. I approached the front and I greeted him, he just stared at me blankly. I told him i had a pick up order and told him my name, he looked back and said it would be the 15-30 min wait. I told him i called ahead to avoid this, more blank stare. I told him to just cancel the order, he told the cooks something and then, more blank stare.... no apology, no offer to expedite it, no explanation, literally just 👁_👁
ugh, honestly the food is good, however i dont recommend unless you have PLENTY of time to spare.

Greatest breakfast spot in the area even the veggie omelette tasted good which is shocking for me. They have fresh juices as well. The grapefruit juice was delicious. They say they have a long wait time but they called us back for the next available seat in 10-15 minutes rather than 30 minutes. So go early.

We never got to eating at this place. The waiter did not show up after 10 minutes to offer us a drink. So we simply walked out. I'm going to blame this on the hostess, she seems to have an unusual attitude. She was fine and welcoming with others but not us - which makes me wonder why. I hope she is nicer to all guests in the future. Remember that eating at your place is a choice we make. I'm not going to give my money to people who give me bad service.
