During a four day visit to Monterey, we had an opportunity to visit numerous local restaurants. We loved our breakfast so much at the Wave Street Cafe that we went back a second day. Our group enjoyed the huevos rancheros, eggs benedict, oatmeal, roasted poblano chili/ham omelet, and fresh fruit. The Cafe is obviously a local favorite as a line formed early on both days. My wife had cinnamon bun pancakes that were the bomb. I had a breakfast burrito that made me never want to eat another burrito other than from this place! I had a really good bloody Mary here too. The portions are humongous
Nice food and really quick service! We had the pancakes and salmon eggs Benedict. The orange juice tasted a bit off, but maybe that was the variety used, or perhaps it wasn’t fresh. Otherwise it was an excellent meal and really enjoyed our visit.
