Great candy
I recently tried a peanut butter cup from Wharf Chocolate Factory at Old Fisherman’s Wharf in Monterey, and it was a huge disappointment. The chocolate was dry, lacking any smoothness or freshness, and the peanut butter filling was equally dry and hard, almost as if I were biting into something expired. Instead of being creamy and indulgent, it was unpleasant and difficult to eat. Honestly, I would have been far happier with a simple Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup from the grocery store. For a specialty confectionery shop, I expected much higher quality. Definitely not worth the price or the hype.
Delicious selection of sugar free chocolates. Always so hard to find good tasting treats for people whom are Diabetic. Wish they had a website to order from cause I’d be happy to pay the shipping cost for this quality of chocolate.
Chocolate! What else do i need to say!
Among the many candy stores on the Fishermans Wharf and Cannery Riw, this one offer chocoholic fixes with a totally decorated ceiling.
Accessible restrooms in central wharf area. Van accessible parking in paid garage. Some street parking may be available.
Enjoy the chocolate here!
Really disappointing experience here by both employees as they tried to scam us by overcharging then yelled at us for asking questions.
First employee had to redo our order five times, everything was being charged together but we needed separate bags and the employee seemed to struggle with this, we asked if she was ok and she said she just gets easily confused. Perhaps she was new, but she was apologetic. She provided the total price and then we asked if we could add a small amount of chocolate covered almonds. She gave us more than twice what we asked for though we asked her to lessen the amount. We asked her to remove the almonds and provided payment for the original price. She cancelled the whole transaction and kept trying to add the chocolate covered almonds though we stated multiple times we no longer wanted them.
A second employee, an older male, attempted to assist and then re-rung up our transaction but it was $12 more than what were we told by the first employee. When we asked why the price was different though we removed items, we were told it is what it is. When we asked if the transaction was purposely cancelled to charge us more because of an error, the male employee yelled he didn’t care and had other customers to attend to.
I’m sure their products are decent but I highly recommend getting clear price points because they will shift without rhyme or reason and advise weariness as they do not seem to value their customers especially if they ask questions or prefer the items they request instead of what the employees decide they want to provide.
Fudge was good. Large selection of candy available.
This candy and chocolate shop on the pier in Monterey is a true gem! It offers a fantastic selection of sweets, from delicious handmade chocolates to classic candies and caramel treats. The aroma of fresh chocolate fills the air, making it impossible to resist. The store is clean, well-organized, and has a cozy, inviting atmosphere. The staff is friendly and helpful, offering great recommendations. Whether you're looking for a gift or just want to treat yourself, this is the perfect place. Highly recommend
Didn’t even get to buy anything because before the employee even greeted me he said I couldn’t be in there with my dog. & she’s a service dog.

The two women who work here are horrible. They spoke things about me and my child in Spanish, thinking I didn't understand 🤨. Like, hello, I'm right here ! Very trashy service. All over me, letting my 5 year old take his time picking his chocolate candy. Horrible! No, on, else was there, too!

The dark chocolate turtle had old pecans! The fudge was middle of the road - We only bought one piece and we chose to not finish it.
