I finally made my way over to Carla's tonight, and I will DEFINITELY be back. You should try it if you want delicious food at reasonable prices. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, and OMG - their sweet treats... Yum.
My brother and I had breakfast today. I had the torta desayuno and he had the heuvos rancheros with beans and tortillas. It was all delicious and topped off with a bottle of Tehuacan sparkling water (my favorite). The people who work there were very friendly too!
It is a self service eatery for the most part. You order and they deliver it to your table. Very efficient in that regard. The menu has many different choices to select from, and the prices are very reasonable, especially for the serving size you receive. My favorite has been the Chile Rellano plate, while my wife loves the Pasolle that comes served in a very large bowl. Alas, the days of free chips and salsa have come to an end at most Mexican eateries, including Carla's....
