Sad to say goodbye was one of my top favorite places to work for, very much enjoyed making everyone's pizzas while I was employed

I drove 20 miles to satisfy my craving for Chicago style pizza. I called and the number didn't work, but figured I'd try anyways since they were apparently open. They were closed on 8/23/2024 around 6pm when I arrived. I'm not sure if it's permanently closed or what. I may try again and update but too bad because there aren't that many Chicago style pizza spots.

My (now ex) boyfriend and I planned to eat here tonight for V-Day. But instead, we were subjected to horrible service. The blonde waitress was very rude. She insisted we write down our names for a reservation even though there were a lot of tables open and we were told by the cashier that there were no reservations. A kind male waiter showed us to a table only for us to be kicked out by the blonde waitress for not writing down our names (which if we did, we'd have to wait outside for who knows how long rather than inside like you're normally supposed to do in a sit down restaurant). We then had to take our business elsewhere.
Needless to say, Chicago Pasta House has permanently lost a customer. Won't be returning anytime soon.
It was a shame to have to write this considering that I've had better experiences than this the past several times before (mainly picking up Postmates orders and when I first dined there for my 26th birthday (I'm now 28), but eventually, something had to give.

My food was not very good. They said they had beer and wine on the menu but didn't have any.
Seemed like one person doing everything, food didn't come out together.

If you got the news earlier today on social media, they are closing their doors at 6pm today. And I thought it would be tomorrow instead. Came back after work around 2pm, and was told they wouldn't be accepting any new orders until an hour later. I come back an hour later, and what do they tell me? They're out of cheese!

Really? So if you're reading this as I write this review, don't bother coming. I left rather disappointed that I never got to try them again. They were really short-staffed! And I hated the dirty looks some of the customers gave me on my way out the door. This experience left a bad taste in my mouth, as I returned an hour later only to regret coming again. I never got to try the food before they close their doors for good at 6pm. Talk about a waste of time! They could've planned this into tomorrow than telling us at the last minute like today.

Ordered food from DoorDash and 2 out of 3 items were incorrect. I've made several attempts to call the restaurant directly and either I get no answer or the call just gets disconnected.

We love this place but something has been recurring quite often lately is that they don't have the meat for the Antipasta for 2. We have a business close by and order often from here and also order that item, 1. It's very delicious 2. It's a big salad that we can toss in the fridge and bring back out later.
C'mon guys how difficult can it be to make sure you have enough ingredients for the items on your menu AND that it's enough for the business day.

Food is delicious took the whole family. Pizza was amazing and salad, did the calamari also delicious. Service was ok after I was done with calamari and salad the plates weren't picked up had to set them on other table. Definitely going back to try the rest of the menu.

Current waiters do not attend to you. The person who seems to be the manager, just sits at the table next to the register, along with the waiters. The young waitress seemed to be on her phone, after almost EVERY table she served. Didn’t check on how we were doing with our meals, we had to get up and ask for refills, and there are flies EVERYWHERE keeping you from eating in peace. The cook seems to be the only one putting in work.

Just amazing deep dish pizza. Definitely a good place for pizza, pasta and salad. Good size portions and everything served made to order and fresh. Clean place and a friendly staff. Delicious in every bite. A must try???
