Driving home from my brother's wedding, I got a bit nostalgic for greek style burgers that I used to get when I first stepped into the trappings of grooms-man-ship, lo these many years ago.
In a move that no one could have anticipated, I spontaneously exited the 60 at Heacock Street looking for a place to park while I searched on Yelp for these treasures of a bygone era.
Fate, it seems, has smiled upon me, as it was a shaded space at Jack's Junior where we found ourselves.
Gotta give them props for portion size. And add another star for the steaming fried zucchini that scalded the interior membranes of my right cheek.
But the pastrami burger, although acceptable, did not live up to the cherished remembrances fostered by those Bell Gardens greek joints and their Mediterranean take on a classic diner favorite... a crotch kick to my high expectations indeed.
Who knows, maybe it just needed some tzatziki sauce

This is one of my go to spots for lunch. How you treat your customers is a plus. They never disappoints! Definitely recommend Jack's Junior to any & everyone.
Best flame broiled burgers. Everything is made fresh and this place is very affordable with combos less than $12. Their interior is a bit old and outdated but clean.

back in the day this was owned by a guy named jack, he was in the army... the food is great, brings back memories of high school
One of the best "hole in the wall" places for burgers, sandwiches and breakfast burritos. Great friendly service as well. I'm very lucky it's right by my work and will definitely come back again to try more of the menu.
