I went around 4 and the owner was on break but super quick to help me out.Very sweet woman the owner! I ordered the fried chicken with Mac and cheese and sweet yams. Food is bomb! I haven’t had food like this since leaving LA. I will definitely be back!

I placed a order of the catfish dinner with mac and cheese, greens, and rice and gravy. BABY!!!. when I say everything was a 10 and was seasoned perfectly!! My husband was licking his fingers, smacking and I was twigling my toes. That's how amazing the food was. Not to mention the customer service was also amazing!!!

Un-phuckin believable!!!! Kk!!! Girl!!!! Everything was bomb!!!!! Fried chicken rice n gravy yams mac n cheese peach cobbler girl I’m on my way for them oxtails now! Finally a good soul food spot in the ie! I live in Ontario and you better believe I’ll drive over n over for good food thank you for saving our taste buds out here!

The food was amazing, a little salty but still delicious! KK was warm and welcoming. We dined in but there was No bathroom. I'll be back tho. The food is just that good!

I called at 5:55 and about 3 times after that no answer. Drove all the way from palm springs to try this place. 6:45PM and the door is locked. Nobodies home.

I haven’t eaten there so I’m giving it 3 stars I’m thinking about it, but I read the bad reviews first, for a reason ,KK take you time , taste everything make sure it’s cool, less salt in the greens, and add a little more on them plates or drop the price down if the plate looks skimpy, you gotta gradually grow , it’ll pay off, trust me

I have had pretty much everything on the menu, with that being said....the food and service is exceptional!

Walked in and was told yams would be about an hour, but everything else was available.

Wanted turkey chops, but they didn't have them. Chicken, they only had legs and thighs.....

Should have just left, but I wanted to try the food... Guess the joke was on me

Greens (salty), Mac n cheese (taste weird possibly the cheese because there was NO seasoning), black eye peas (mushy and had a weird taste), rice & gravy (nasty), smothered chicken (no flavor on chicken or gravy), fried chicken (best thing) and the cornbread (taste straight like f ish!!! like she used the cornmeal used the fish 🤮🤮🤮)

Definitely won't be going back here. $$$ wasted!!!

When I tell you I drove two hours for this food and baby it was worth it. I walked into this little establishment door wide open to no one in the store. So I stared at the menu for a good few minutes before the owner walked in having made an errand for a quick second. She was very warm and welcoming and mentioned that everything was made to order. I had the catfish meal with collared greens and mac & cheese with a side of cornbread. I also added a Kool-Aid which was grape flavor, the best one, and a peach cobbler. I walked out with my steaming bag and made my trek back down south. This food was still hot by the time I got home and let me tell you everything was seasoned perfectly. The crunch from the batter of the catfish to the cheese pull of the mac and the juice from the greens. The peach cobbler and cornbread were the perfect way to end that meal. It was an absolute pleasure to eat this food and had to immediately call the owner and tell her. This little gem is a little hard to find but worth the trek. I will most definitely be back to try the whole menu. Thank you!
