"this is acknowledgment of the fine food at black bear restaurant here in moreno valley, it's great location and grits on the menu is reason enough to come in one time, but it's the care and attention that our favorite server here "nereida" aka "neddy" that keeps us coming back to black bear restaurant, they are a great family oriented combination to go and enjoy a good meal"!

Ordered club sandwich for pickup, worst experience ever!
Bread was soggy, lettuce wilted and one extremely small thin slice of turkey on entire sandwich! Fries were soggy!
Very disappointing!!!

I had heard some good things about Black Bear, but was hugely disappointed.
Food was cold to barely warm, service was good.

2nd time here. Food was not hot, warm or even room temp. Service was lacking. Not very friendly waiter. Felt rushed and he was somewhat rude. Acted as if we were bothering him. Won't be back

Ordered a patty melt, when I got it the patty was half the size of the bread. It seems like the leftover was just bread. About half the bread was not covering the meat patty. Paid for a full patty , got a kids size patty, not what I expected. Do not order this item.

Black Bear Diner in Moreno Valley is always busy for breakfast and brunch, and for good reason - they serve delicious comfort food in a wonderful black bear-themed diner.
This restaurant is located just south of the 60 freeway on Sunnymead Blvd near Perris Blvd in Moreno Valley. There are plenty of parking spaces in this shared lot.
Upon entry, it immediately feels you’ve walked into a log cabin. The ambiance is warm and inviting with chatter that fills the air. Check in with the host and, while you wait to be called, peruse the black bear-themed items available for purchase.
This restaurant has plenty of tables, booths, and a few seats at the counter. Interaction between the staff have always been a pleasant experience.
One of my favorites here is their freshly squeezed orange juice and, from time to time, I’ll order a cup of coffee. The coffee always comes out piping hot but the flavor is just okay . Oddly, drinking it feels comforting and the server keeps it filled. Another favorite of mine is their sweet cream pancake: fluffy and simply dusted with powdered sugar. I can eat it just plain like this. Their scrambled bowls are also pretty good with a bit of everything savory in the dish.
They also serve dinner, which I have yet to try. And a display case full of desserts.
Overall, my experience at Black Bear Diner was a busy breakfast and brunch spot with a large menu of comfort food in a woodsy setting. If not for the long lines in the morning, I’d have more visits to this place. Solid 3.8 for me.
Kid-friendliness: Very kid-friendly!
Wheelchair accessibility: It may be tight to navigate with a wheelchair, stroller or walker but the area near the restrooms have more floor space.

We finally got to go out for dinner and was disappointed with their Prime Rib. It was over cooked to well done. Meat was dry. Mashed potatoes were watery & tasteless. The best part about dinner was the service and just being together

During my last visit. My son asked if we could get pancakes. I thought why not get black bear And take it home. I never had the pancakes there so I said why not try it. Well little behold, my kids finished eating and I'm finally able to enjoy my pancake when I took a bite a hair was inside the pancake. I even thought it was my own hair that may have fallen off. But when I spit it out it was cooked inside the pancake with unchewed pancake hanging off. My kids finished eating those pancakes. I don't know how they prepare their batter. But if it's in a large amount, it was in my family's pancakes and people who are eating at the restaurant last week. I am so disappointed and it was disgusting.

I couldn't find my waitress anywhere but other than that it was great. Great place to go with a service animal.
