This place has been here since the 60s. My dad is retired Air Force, and we were stationed nearby at March AFB, and literally lived just down the street from Rene's. (we also lived on Filaree) Used to come here as a kid. My sister & I would play pool or pinball, and drink our sodas while our father and step-mom were drinking at the bar. Then drive the quarter mile back home. I took my now 22 year old son here a while back for lunch. We came from Phoenix. He was amazed that his mom, aunt, and grandfather used to go there when we were his age.

The atmosphere is small town vibe in a big city. It’s like a time capsule into a better era where people were just friendly and welcoming. The food is amazing and homemade. Everything on the menu is phenomenal and reasonably priced. This is a gem of place that needs to be enjoyed and experienced!

This was my 1st time there and it was great! This food was fresh hot full of flavor the service was awesome Hilary was the sweetest very attentive waitress her personality and energy was a ten. I will definitely be going back. I recommend if you live near by Rene's is a diamond in the rough. A definite must. You will not be disappointed. I promise and the prices were excellent. We had 10 mixed drinks appetizers and 4 full dinners and the bill was less the 140.00. One of us had steak two of us had seafood. Well worth it.

Going to give the food a 3 stars because I did once have some good meals here but its changed lately, the service is extremely slow now and if you are looking to eat and go, don't come here, it takes a long time to be served. its just a local place where locals go but if they want more than just people drinking they need to focus more on serving food
