Maybe call it a hometown bar and grill. We stopped on the way to Kaiser for lunch. Marcy the owner was so welcoming. You know why their business has been open so long. Stop by and see for yourself.
This place has been here since the 60s. My dad is retired Air Force, and we were stationed nearby at March AFB, and literally lived just down the street from Rene's. (we also lived on Filaree)
Used to come here as a kid. My sister & I would play pool or pinball, and drink our sodas while our father and step-mom were drinking at the bar. Then drive the quarter mile back home.

Great service! Large portions of tasty food.
Retro setting but very friendly. Everyone enjoyed their food and we plan to return.
