I absolutely love shakeys, but this Moreno Valley location has been getting more and more disappointing, I will think twice before returning. Per my usual, I always order pcm Togo, well lately the pizza has been very sloppy, with too much sauce and looks like a 5 year old made it. This meal isn’t cheap ($75) the least I would expect is effort. The taste is great for the chicken & mojos, but not the pizza. The purpose of my review is constructive criticism with hopes that the cooks will be better trained. I am attaching a photo for reference.

the chorizo and jalapeños thin crust pizza is super good.Also the papa mojo and chicken are good.

August 27 2024 Today I invited my senior father to go have lunch. A bunch. All you can need pizza buffet. We have been going to this shaky's. For many years since we moved to Moreno Valley worst experience ever will not be returning after the experience we had. I should have right away. Ask for my money back and walk out the door and not look back to start off The plates that are given to you are so disgusting. I had to ask for a different plate and the second plate. I was given was almost as worst as the first one number 1 issue. I feel shaky. Should look at their plates and toss away. The ones that are just 2 worn out and stained. Yes, they might be washed and sanitized. But appearance is number 1 second, as we started to proceed to the buffet.
Everything was filthy. Not only the food was cold dry and some. Items, we're just incredible to look at and not in a good way. Mashed potato and gravy was disgusting appearance, but I still. Move forward and said. Well, at least we'll try it I. Requested fresh chicken since most of the food looked like it was sitting there for hours. From what I can tell a supervisor was the one that was adding new chicken. But come to find out as soon as I sat Down and took the first bite of the chicken. That was supposedly fresh. It wasn't hot.
Pizza also not fresh. And yes, I understand some customers are not. The cleanest people and toppings may roll off on to the counter or There may be some food that spills out of the containers as well, but as a business owner and supervisor this must be a number one concern of keeping this area clean and I'm presentable to the customers.
As we're eating our food, my elderly father. It did not have a very pleasant. Look on his face after running a couple. Errands and coming home. We both noticed we had a funny feeling. And not feeling so well after our experience. We started talking about what great service. This shake is used to provide. My father was also sharing that my uncle knew the owner as well as my father and he took great pride. And very friendly person with his customers.
My father also shared. That the owner I have passed away. I can definitely tell that this shakeys has gone down. Definitely down a drain. I did want to mention something to the supervisor that was walking around with a face of displeasure. It looks like no one wants to be there, including the cook. No one was friendly except 1 young lady. That was picking up the trays and the dirty dishes. She did approach us where they smiled and asked us if she can remove our plates. But beside that 1 young lady, the manager the cook and the person that took our orders was not friendly at all. And their body language do not help at all.
I never tried to be rude or try to.
Complain, but after this experience I believe I have to say something. I hope someone reads this and takes actions to better this place. Otherwise more people we'll stop pointing to this place And it will be another thing that Moreno. Valley end up losing I noticed that we're able to add photos. I really wish I would have taken out my phone and taking pictures of what we experienced.
I know this is a very long review but I hope someone takes the time to read it sincerely. I hope there is a change too bad though. I doubt me and my father will ever return. At least to this one particular shakeys, best of luck to everyone.

Very bad attention
They make you wait a long time

Pretty disappointed that my mojo were cold and uncooked my pizza had too much pizza was supposed to be then, and it was actually thick and and undercooked.

Shakey’s has the best pizza, hands down! Kids love coming here to eat and play games, and the happy hour is totally worth it. Nostalgic classic old look lol but great place for families overall.

Ordered the combo or PMC two pizzas mojo potatoes and eight pieces of chicken. $84 worst money I’ve ever spent for food. The pizza was terrible tasted like it was a day old the mojos were cold and the chicken was dry and not crispy at all. Was gonna take it back but I had my grandkids and they wanted to eat so I didn’t want to make a seen. We were having a nice day until that awful food never again. I use to get pizza from Shakeys on Sunset in LA. Best pizza and Mojos and chicken. This place should be embarrassed to call themselves Shakeys. I really don’t know how this place has survived with the awful food a the worst customer service. Very long story short threw away the majority of the stuff the next day my wife tried to stop me but just had to chalk it up to a loss. Bought some decent pizza from Roundtable and my grandkids loved it. Bottom line if you some awful pizza that’s overpriced with bad customer service Skakeys is your place.
