My husband and I visited Castillo's hillside winery to look at the grounds for family photos. We met Vivian and did a tasting. We enjoyed our tasting talking with Vivian, she is very knowledgeable, outgoing, funny and has a beautiful voice. She played her guitar and sang one of her original songs which was amazing. After viewing the property, meeting Vivian, and communicating back-and-forth with Roni Jo, we new we wanted to booked the family photo session that castillo's Hillside Winery. We just had the photos taken Saturday, October 21, 2023. We can't wait to seeing the photos taken on their beautiful grounds and we plan to go back doing a tasting. Thank you both Vivian and Roni Jo for your hospitality.

This place is lovely! It is family owned and operated and they are very kind and welcoming to everyone. LGBTQ+ friendly! Dog friendly! I've been coming here for a while because it is so relaxing and Vivienne is a delight to be around.It makes me sad to see entitled people come here and take pictures and leave without paying for anything, letting their dogs take a dump and not clean up after them, and stealing things from the premises! Of course the business owners have the right to ask these people to leave. And these people are the ones leaving the bad reviews.I normally don't write reviews, but I had to because of the unfair ones. I truly enjoy this place and will continue coming here when I need to escape the busy craziness of San Jose. Also, their Pinot is delicious during the summer!

Looooove! This was my first time wine tasting in the area and it was amazing! Ok, so first the location is amazing. The home is beautiful and they have plenty of outdoor seating in a breathtaking setting. They have a pond, vineyards on a hill, soft green grass. Truly a beautiful property. They mostly have a reds selection which I'm not a fan of but it actually wasn't too bad as others that I've tried. If you love reds though this may be your place. The woman who was serving our drinks was also a joy to be around. She cracked jokes and played the guitar for us and it just made the visit that much more fun! 10/10 would recommend!

Beautiful property. “Wine” is awful… I have never tasted anything so distant to wine as they serve there - thankfully the tasting is only 10 bucks.A group on the patio brought their boom box (I suppose) and was playing very loud music, I thought I’m on a country music festival.A lot of people mention the questionable service; well I’d partly agree that I didn’t feel very welcome, but on the other hand I’m glad no one was trying to sell me that liquid and membership, so I could just pay and be gone for good.

We were welcomed by the sweetest lady named Vivian (sp). She allowed us to setup our charcuterie boards indoors, it was pouring) and entertained us while providing our flights. We enjoyed every minute while we celebrated my sisters bday. All the flights were subtle & delicious! We will definitely be back!

ABSOLUTELY MOST AMAZING PLACE! My home away from home. Roni Jo, Vivian are always so inviting always make me feel at home! I love spending time here. I usually come in grab a bottle some glasses and walk the property with friends while customers engage with Vivian. Then as it slows down I run back in so I can have her all to myself. I get to hear her sing we talk about wine and art. This place makes you feel so at home. It's funny because when ever I run into anyone who is from or going to Morgan Hill or Gilroy area I tell them check this place and tell them Sol sent ya!!!!

Absolutely one of my all time favorite wineries. Property is BEAUTIFUL! Owners are so amazingly welcoming and they make you feel like family. Vivian the resident artist not only as musician but actual artist is amazing. She performs for her guest as we enjoy the absolutely amazing wine! I highly recommended this winery to all of my friends and family.
