Castillo's Hillside Shire Winery

My husband and I visited Castillo's hillside winery to look at the grounds for family photos. We met Vivian and did a tasting. We enjoyed our tasting talking with Vivian, she is very knowledgeable, outgoing, funny and has a beautiful voice. She played her guitar and sang one of her original songs which was amazing. This place is lovely! It is family owned and operated and they are very kind and welcoming to everyone. LGBTQ+ friendly! Dog friendly! I've been coming here for a while because it is so relaxing and Vivienne is a delight to be around.It makes me sad to see entitled people come here and take pictures and leave without paying for anything, letting their dogs take a dump and not clean up after them, and stealing things from the premises! Looooove! This was my first time wine tasting in the area and it was amazing! Ok, so first the location is amazing. The home is beautiful and they have plenty of outdoor seating in a breathtaking setting. They have a pond, vineyards on a hill, soft green grass. Truly a beautiful property. They mostly have a reds selection which I'm not a fan of but it actually wasn't too bad as others that I've tried. If you love reds though this may be your place.
