The entire experience was amazing. Katelyn was very knowledgeable and made informed suggestions. We're in town from Michigan and couldn't have asked for a better Napa Valley experience. Beautiful grounds, great tour guide, and we left with multiple bottles of wine.

The owners are welcoming and kind, with Vivienne providing an enjoyable experience with her knowledge and humor. This cute winery features very beautiful grounds and a small selection of red wines for sampling and purchase. Despite some negative experiences with entitled visitors, the winery maintains its charm and hospitality. The red wine selection is noteworthy, highlighted by an absolutely delicious merlot that has unique flavors unlike any other. The atmosphere is relaxed and inviting, with guests treated to live music and friendly service, making it a perfect spot for relaxing and enjoying the scenery. Overall, Castillo's Hillside Shire Winery offers a picturesque location, fantastic wines, including interesting choices like CBD-infused options, and a warm, welcoming environment that is ideal for a delightful escape from the city.
