Just A Small Town Grill

We came after church today. The service was great and the Konrad Combo pizza was amazing! What a great asset this place is to the Morongo Basin.

The pastrami sandwich is excellent and the pastrami burger is great! We stopped here on the way back from Joshua tree National Park to Palm Springs! We met Jim who looked after us so well and we loved the place. Definitely stop if you’re travelling along this road.

When small town grill opened, my husband and I would go once a week for pizza just to support the new business and it was so good!! We haven’t been in a couple months, but yesterday we decided to get a pizza. Our favorite Konrads combo and it unfortunately wasn’t the same. Not too sure if they have a new cook or maybe we went on a busy day and there was no quality control the pizza wasn’t like it used to be. It tasted like the pizza from the sand to snow bar which is ok for bar pizza and $13. The crust was hard and burnt and the pizza itself lacked the flavor we once loved. Hopefully if we decide to try the pizza again in the future, it will be the quality we remember. 🫶🏽 It is local and we love to support our community but for the price and quality at the moment, we will be driving up the hill for Papa John’s to get wings and a pizza for the same price. 😭

The burger was good, but I was going to dine in, and they packed it to go without asking. Maybe because I gave no tip while making the order? Everyone was ordering to go as well and I was the only person eating in, middle of the day. Felt weird but the car was too hot. Not the experience I was looking for with all the ratings

Everyone here was really nice and the food was amazing. We got the Bacon Me Crazy burger with an extra patty and crinkle cut fries. We also got some apple pie to-go, but couldn't wait to try it. It was fantastic cold, and we're looking forward to getting it home to warm it up with some ice cream!

My family and I came here while vacationing from out of town and it was the most amazing experience. The food was so good, really big portions for a great price. I also ended up leaving my purse and was not able to get it back until the next day due to travel reasons. I called the restaurant to make sure it was there and the workers were the nicest people. Stacey was the sweetest woman ever and had been trying to find ways to contact me all day. She was so genuine and kind. Don’t leave your valuables at places, but if you do, leave them here cause they will be safe.

If you haven’t tried It’s a Small Town Grill in Morongo Valley. You should…. Friendly homey service and Delicious Food. I personally love the pizza and recently tried their breakfast (Meat Lovers Skillet). RAVE🎉👨‍🍳.

Service was top notch!! 4 adults and 3 kids were with us. We had a mushroom and Pepperoni pizza, with a pine apple burger and a bacon you crazy burger (like a western bacon burger for Carls jr) also a big Salad, fried pickles and taquitos as Appetizers we also tried every dessert they had. Lol Very very good food and desserts. Definitely going to be our #1 spot for lunch and dinner when we come back into town. 5 stars!!!
