Yeah! This is open at 7:00AM. Recommend ordering dishes with Mexican influence. These seem more consistent.

It's been awhile since I have visited the Morongo Valley cafe. A perfect stop on your way to Palm Springs. Absolutely love these old nostalgic cafes along the road. I'm not sure how long the cafe has been here, but definitely a long long time. Love the Place & Decor. It is well-kept, and very clean, including the bathrooms. The waitress was very attentive and welcoming from beginning to end. I ordered a omelette with hash browns. I always add cheese and grilled onions to my hash browns. These were probably the best hash browns I have had in many many years. Thoroughly enjoyed my relaxing breakfast. I will be back very soon.

The stars are simply for the service. The 2 female waitresses were very friendly and attentive.

The food was horrible. Hands down the WORST country fried steak I’ve ever had. There was almost no breading and what was there was soggy. The meat was hard. Literally tough to cut through. I only took 2 bites of that. My boyfriend agreed how terrible it was. The country potatoes were plain. Most places cook them with onions and peppers, not here. Barely seasoned. The eggs and toast were fine. But I mean, it’s eggs and toast.

Overall I wouldn’t come here again. Even with the friendly service.

What a wonderful stop on a long drive home. Fueled up for the ride. Super friendly, welcoming and charming cafe. I had a nice meal with great smiles. It was a nice send off from an awesome weekend in the Desert. Happy I found them on the way home. Support Small Family Businesses!

Morongo Valley classic. Reliable American diner food. Make sure to read the menu, it is a comic delight.

This is one of the best places for breakfast when heading to Joshua Tree. The food is fresh and tastes homemade. The service was great.

We just moved to Morongo Valley, this was our first family breakfast morning after a week of living in the high desert. It’s so sad that this place had to make this visit such and unpleasant one. Family owned, Latino owned, which I love since I’m Mexican, I love supporting my people’s businesses and showing love. Because of their greedy-ness and not being straight forward with their prices we will not return or recommend this place. My husband ordered the 1/2 French toast meal with bacon and eggs. He asked if he could substitute the 1/2 French toast for the banana 1/2 crunch French toast, the waitress said, yes! When the bill was given we were confused on why this meal wasn’t a set price, but everything charged separately, a la carta. What the beautiful pregnant momma forgot to mention was, yes! You can do a substitution, BUT everything would be charged separately, a la cart, the 1/2 French toast + eggs + sausage. We at least expected a substitution price would be added. Not everything individually priced. It’s extremely sad because these are our own people and a simple suggestion was blown out of proportion. They were aware of how they charged it, but failed to mention that while we were ordering. I’m sure if we were a white family, you know this incident would have been handled differently. This hurt. It’s very unfortunate because we are newly local residents.

Awesome little café to get breakfast on the way to Joshua Tree. The best French toast my friends have ever had and they know their French toast. Very friendly staff.
