Our party of 4 visited Absolution late February. Beautiful day, beautiful setting, beautiful wines. The Owner and Winemaker, Dirk, poured and described for us each of the 8-9 pours, and spoke of the terroir and winemaking process of each. 2 guests were first timers to Wine Country and could not have experienced a better immersion into boutique winemaking. A hidden gem, for sure. So glad we went. We’ll go back!

We've loved the dinner pairings Dirk does at Somms kitchen in Paso Robles (discount 4 wine club members!), recently Dirk has done "Sundays with the winemaker " and this past Sunday we attended that event. It started with a fun PowerPoint education on a few of his wines while we sipped , then coffee and tea next door then a gorgeous drive to cambria and a beautiful walk in Fiscalini Preserve. Afterwards Dirk took us wine tasting at Cutruzzola vineyards, then lunch, then back to absolution for more wine. All for an unbelievable price and of course wine club members get discounts! We highly recommend these fun events Dirk and his gorgeous partner Tania put on throughout the year! Their tasting lounge is still $20 for 6 generous pours and dog and kid friendly! Dirk and Tania are so welcoming to everyone! So many times customers walk in and we all start talking. So the review from 2 years ago below is still true today!one of our favorite wine tastings ever! We loved every story that was shared about each wine we tried. Each wine has unique art for the label and the wine maker shares why he picked each piece for the bottle. We tried 6 wines for only $20 per person and every wine was delicious and flavorful! The wine maker never rushed us and allowed us to enjoy the flavors before coming out with our next wine to taste. Every glass of wine was presented with a story about the grapes used and flavor profile. We ended up buying 3 bottles and were shocked at how inexpensive the bottles were for the quality of the wine. This wine maker has a true gift for making wine! We HIGHLY recommend trying this place!

A group of 5 of us and a baby went one afternoon and had the best time! The owners were so personable and had so much knowledge that they reciprocated to us. We had a blast and all of the wines were phenomenal!! We couldn’t get enough of this place and the two owners. Their passion shines through their work and it is such a great experience. Thank you for making our engagement day so special! If you have even an hour to spare in Morro Bay, you have to stop by this amazing winery!!

We enjoyed a tasting here of small-production wines, mostly blends. The server was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the winery and the grapes and patient with our semi-novice status. The bright, artist-designed labels add an interesting touch to the wines. A pleasant experience.

I hadn't been wine tasting since before the pandemic. I'm late to the game on being "normal" again, but they had outside seating that was inviting and generously spaced.My husband agreed that this was the place. At first, I wore my mask and took it off when the owner went inside. But, once she realized what I was doing, she offered to wear a mask so that I would be more comfortable. I was touched by how kind and thoughtful she was. After a bit, I did feel more comfortable and I thoroughly enjoyed my pours. The wines had lovely coloring. Some were crisp and light, while others were hearty and warm. I enjoyed each pour. The bottles all feature artwork by Aja Trier. The owner described how she and her winemaker husband go about picking out the artwork. It is obvious that they enjoy their work.The wines are small batch and flavorful. They are aged in neutral French Oak barrels. I found myself wanting more than one bottle and only regret not getting a second.If you visit Morro Bay, this is a nice stop. You can pick up souvenirs first and then sit and relax outside, or inside at their bar. The owners are enjoyable to visit with and the wines are legit.
A hidden gem along the Embarcadero. I highly recommend stopping by. The atmosphere is comfortable and the wine is fabulous. Every wine I tasted was great. It was hard to decide which one to buy. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem. Stop buy and enjoy!!!!!

Such a shockingly terrible experience from the owner who literally spoke so disrespectfully to me and my special needs son. In this day and age it is just beyond comprehension that someone would think it is acceptable to be so discriminatory. So do not even think of going to this establishment!!! Let’s show this lady that mistreating those with special needs is not ok.

Customer service was amazing! Nice, outdoor seating. Knowledgeable staff who were also friendly. 6 selections are offered for a reasonable price. And we actually received 8 tastings for the price of 6! The selections were absolutely perfect, and my partner and I couldn't help but purchase a few bottles. If you are a lover of wine and happen to be in the Morro Bay Area, this is a place you definitely want to visit!!!
