“A rather "high-gloss" hole-in-the-wall with a Feng Shui vibe. If you enjoy Asian cuisine, Chowa fills the bill. Upbeat, pleasant staff with tremendous energy serving up delicious cuisine made for an incredible dining experience!

Parking: Huge lot with lots of space which in Morro Bay sometimes is difficult to find!

“Nice place but... We visited this beautiful restaurant on July 30th For drinks and appetizers. We sat outside on the patio and it was lovely, the food was delicious and the wine very enjoyable. We recognized that we were seated at the table for about 2 1/2 - 3 hours so we continued to order appetizers and dessert while we were enjoying our wine and we also planned on leaving a generous tip. Toward the end of our stay as we were ordering our final glass of wine and dessert and were told by the waitress that she could not serve us anymore alcohol and and it has something to do with the ABC but she could not explain exactly what the issue was. Being in my 60's and never being denied service in my entire life, I was quite taken aback. We were served the dessert but no more alcohol. We paid our bill and walked down the street to another establishment where we continued to have our final glass of wine and watch the sunset and then walk back to the hotel. I'm still baffled by what occurred.”

On holiday and for me, trying to find a good vegan meal is like searching for the Holy Grail!

And boy did the tempeh tacos deliver!

Literally can't get any fresher veggies, which were piled higher that Bishop's peak (locals will appreciate the reference)!

It was 20 minutes of enjoying all the yummy veggies and then was like oh yeah, have discovered the tempeh tacos finally! Not a criticism but just pointing out how big of a serve they give you.

I desperately want to go back but live very far out of town. If I were a local, this eatery would quickly become one of my regular go-to spots!”

“The Siren is a fantastic place! We went on Taco Tuesday, and the tacos were good—fresh and flavorful. The music was great, and the atmosphere was fun and inviting. The staff was friendly and welcoming, and the drinks were excellent. Plus, you can play pool, which adds to the laid-back vibe. Overall, it’s a perfect spot to relax, enjoy good food and drinks, and have a fun time. Highly recommend!”

“Chapala is the BEST. I ordered My taco salad that was made wrong. I took It back and explained it was no problem I just Would like a new one made. As I was Waiting, the owner or head chef, unsure of his name, took care of my issue quickly and said come on over and have a seat, pulled out my chair for me with a bowl of chips and salsa. I was In no rush or upset by any means, just wanted the best taco salad in the world with no beans!! They have my upmost respect, business and recommendation.”

“The atmosphere was very chill and low key, me and my girlfriend will definitely be coming back every time we do a beach trip. The customer service was incredible and so were the drinks and merch. We had to come back for another coffee before we left it was that good. Words don’t do this coffee house justice and we are always happy to support a local entrepreneur. 10/10 can’t recommend enough plz do yourself a favor and check it out!”

“We’ve been going to Hofbrau for over 20 years. Just had one of the best meals ever there today. Sat outside on the new glass enclosed deck over the water. Amazing view. Beautiful day. Had the best, tender and flavorful roast beef sandwich- a jailhouse (roast beef, pastrami & provolone - a Reuben and calamari strips. It was all perfect!”

We ordered the Beef Ravioli Con Quattro Formaggio, Caesar salad, and Italian platter with a glass of wine. It was very tasty and I didn't feel super bloated or anything after. I fersure dogged my plate!

I had the pleasure to meet D and mark. They were super awesome and welcomed us even though we can later towards closing. They were really accommodating, helpful, and entertaining.

“While visiting MB from Fresno, we ran across this hidden gem. We had the Breakfast Burrito with Bacon, Egg, Cheese and Hash-browns. They also offer ham and chorizo. These are 100% the BEST breakfast burritos I have EVER had! Even my own made at home. They are huge and 1 would probably feed 2 people because they come with free chips and a salsa bar. This will always a “must go to” place anytime we are in SLO area.”

“I have eaten a lot of sushi in my day. This was one of the top 2 or 3 sushi meals I have ever experienced. The originality of the ingredients was surpassed only by their freshness. And the taste? My oh my. The "Salmon Temptation" and the "Lollipop" are two I highly recommend. The spicy garlic twist on even the simplest of starters ( edaname) was a nice opening surprise. If you're ever anywhere close to Morro Bay, you have to stop and give them a try.”

“The local businesses in the area recommended Kickers for their fish and chips. That's a good sign. My server was Tabatha. Service was prompt, polite, and checked several times to make sure I had everything I needed. I did have the fish and chips. They were cooked very good to perfection, as fish should be. There was a lot of food. The atmosphere is awesome. Very clean, plenty to look at while you're waiting and eating. Boats passing by in the harbor. Very nice day, very good. experience. Definitely would recommend this place.”
