“A friend brought me here for the chocolate chip cookie and it was amazing! Perfectly gooey on the inside with a crispy outside.I also had a breakfast sandwich and a latte, which were pretty good, but slightly overpriced. My total bill for a cookie, sandwich and latte was $28! The sandwich and latte were good, but not as amazing as the cookie. The staff were very friendly and the space is easily accessible.“
“It's very clean, it's very fast and it's delicious. But be careful, there are very few opportunities to eat on site because there are few tables. But the takeaway is very well managed. It's very clean, it's very quick and it's delicious. But be aware that there are only a few opportunities to have your meal on site. Anyway the takeaway is very well managed.“
“Wow! Amazing place. I came here as a kid and young adult when it was the Aquarium. My new favorite place to visit and grab a bite. I oive Hazy IPA's...and the Marine Layer does not disappoint!! I had to have two because I got the Bratwurst....I'm coming back for another. Wife had the Chicago dog and ...meh...but we then shared the Elote' in a cup...WOW!! Refreshing and delicious!! I will be back!! Awesome staff and super clean bathrooms and establishment!!“
“Loved it! Great atmosphere with friendly Host/owner. Menudo was really good, you have the option if you want hominy and even "pata". It came with all the fixing and hit the spot. My wife had banana pancakes and she loved them. We will recommend and return on our next trip.“
“Looking for a good coffee place in Morro Bay. Google search came up with excellent reviews which led us to this tiny little outlet. Don’t shy away by the outside look, order coffee and go to tasteful decor sitting area and enjoy coffee. Service was fantastic, very personable. Liked the coffee so much, Picked up coffee grounds pack for home. Highly recommend this place.“
“Great service! We did not know what to expect when we walked in but the owners were extremely friendly and accommodating. The charcuterie to die for! Considering we are a lgbqt couple, we felt safe and welcomed :) highly recommend for anyone looking for a comfortable and safe space to watch the sunset.“
“Beautiful view of the rock, great service, and great food. I had the "Snootie" grilled cheese and my husband had the "Goin back to Cali", and they were both delicious. I would definitely come back to try some of their other breakfast foods.“
“As a local, I can say without question that The Foghorn Brewhouse is a fine establishment in our community, run by the most wonderful people of warmth, hospitality and character. The food is excellent, we especially love the tri-tip and buffalo chicken sandwiches and the variety of drinks is on-point. 5-stars all around, highly recommend!!!“
“My wife and I walked our dog here. She loved the ambiance and was given a pup cup. Sat outside in the beautiful garden to enjoy some yummy fresh sandwiches. I had an egg and sausage on a plain bagel and she had a plain Jane sandwich on English muffin. Highly recommend. They have a wonderful assortment of coffee and tea drinks and delicious food!“
“This place is absolutely amazing. Extremely friendly staff, and CHEAP prices for TOP quality freshly baked treats and food. Several unique items that I have not seen elsewhere. Everything seems like it was homemade by an expert. I come here any time I am in town.“
“We had a wonderful experience!!! We signed up for the TikiTour, unfortunately we were the only ones that day. Instead of canceling they offered us a private tour. Mike was our tour guide and he did a fantastic job. He was knowledgeable and fun! Thank you for a beautiful tour!“
“Outstanding food. My partner and I are both plant-based and always love to find vegetarian or vegan cafes. This place certainly delivers. The portions are massive, so if you can put away the salad like we can…you’re in luck. Their tempeh is out of this world good, and all the dressings we tried (cilantro and sesame ginger) perfectly accompanied our veggies.Of note, their breakfast menu also includes buckwheat pancakes. I find buckwheat pancakes often hard to find, and the ones we ordered here were some of the best I’ve had.“
“This was my first time at Staxx although I have noticed it for many years. We began by choosing a table and looking at the menu. After 5pm there is a "secret menu" which consists of special meat cuts that are verbally listed. We did choose a NY steak the cut was huge and cost about $69 without counting all the additional options. From seating to eating it took a little over an hour but man was the food good. We had zero leftovers at our table. I would say expect to spend about $40-60 per person on average if you are a non-drinker making this a $$$ restaurant. It was definitely good food and I highly recommend the brussel sprouts. The majority of the seating is high tables and there is one sofa seating area. I did love the spanish guitar music they were playing it reminded me of an old CD i had called, 'Azucar- guido Luciani'..... The restraunt accepts reservations and the place seemed to get pretty full by 6pm.“
“Me and my wife stayed at the nearby morrow bay inn and wanted a traditional country breakfast. Carla's did not disappoint. Food was good, fast and well priced. We stayed and purchased a few things from the gift shop. We met the owner who was super nice, and I could tell genuinely loved what she did. You can allways tell a place is good if the locals go. And watching for a few minutes its clear they all come here and the staff all know them and genuinely care about people. I will definitely come back many times in the future.“
“The only place in town for happy hour. Great beer and great happy hour prices for drinks and food. We got a BLT with an added fried egg that was eggcellent and hit the spot. They have live music most nights. We didn't stay long enough to experience that but the bartender was friends and recommended great drinks. Will definitely be back when we return to Morro Bay“
“What a pleasant coffee shop, exactly what I was looking for in this little town. Came here each morning on our trip. Such a cool, kitschy spot that is warm and inviting, not just by size and decor, but especially by everyone who works there. The stand out for me was the sincerely adorable gentlewoman at the counter. She even remembered my name! Got their chaimayan with a shot of espresso, delicious! Throughout our visits, we had their lox bagel, avocado toast, and BLT. Their food was GREAT and I couldn't ask for more from what presumably was just a coffee shop, but actually a great breakfast spot for us as well!“
“My family and I dined at House of Juju in November 2023. We were only in Morro Bay for a few days (Monday and Tuesday) and ate at another establishment the day before; having a horrible experience. When I looked online at the hours for House of Juju for Tuesday it showed they were closed. I was SO disappointed as I was really looking forward to having a delicious meal here. My family and I went down to the water and noticed House of Juju appeared to be open. I called the restaurant to confirm and spoke with Maddy. She was so friendly and confirmed they were open on Tuesday as a trial. I was thrilled! My family and I went in for dinner and had Maddy as our server. She was just as pleasant as she had been on the phone and provided excellent service. We were able to enjoy a delicious meal and watch the sunset from the back of the restaurant. The Juju Bleu burger is AMAZING, along with the clam chowder, and the flatbread! This will continue to be an establishment we will frequent while in town.“
“We've been meaning to stop into Federico's ever since they took over the space from Three Stacks...a place we loved (and continue to love) which is now at the Embarcadero. We weren't sure how this restaurant would do in the space and feel that the location is pretty poor (IMO) for a restaurant. Boy are we glad we finally got around to going and hope that they do well and flourish. Here is what we noticed:- You order at the counter, and they bring you food to your table based on your number. The menu is extensive and, while we weren't drinking that night (since we had just come from Three Stacks), there is a good selection of beers and wines.- There is a good mix of high top (which we prefer) and regular tables, as well as outdoor seating. A heater or two outside would be nice for them to consider.- We started with the Guac and Chips...loved it! The Guac was different than usual...seemed to have more cilantro taste, which was a pleasant change from most places.- I ordered the Soft Shell Crab tacos, and they came with a side of beans and white rice. I had agreed to share meals with my wife and almost regretted it, because I really could have devoured the tacos myself they were so good. I found the white rice an odd choice at first until the sauce from the tacos dripped into it...wow! The beans were great too...not your routine pinto beans.- My wife got the Chili Relleno meal, which was really good too. It came with homemade tortillas and the traditional rice and beans, but both were really great too!Bottom line: We used to go to Taco Temple and they're still good, but this food is in a different league. We'll definitely be back!“
“The restaurant was in a great spot to view the Morro Rock. The food was exceptional as well as the presentation. The service was great, we were greeted by our waitress Vanessa, she was very nice ,friendly and pleasant. ❤️?? We ordered some fried calamari, it was delicious. Margarita was tasty and a beer. For main course ordered Snapper fish witch came with side of rice pilaf and fresh veggies( it was cooked to perfection). Dinner plate came with side of clam chowder soup or salad. Everything was exceptional. Thank you and hopefully next time we are in the area will be back again. ?❤️“
“It’s 25 years young! I come here for the amazing fresh wild fish salads that masquerade as tacos. Super generous portions. Carnitas platter is also amazing and enough for 2. Desserts are tasty and huge. I can make 1 piece of the yummy carrot cake last 3 desserts.North side patio on a 60 degree or above day is super comfortable and chill. Room for dogs and kids to be themselves.Vegetarian options: Burritos and enchiladas are good veggie options.“
“These guys were super nice and chill. We got the house tea boba which was really good, boba were nice and soft. The taro milk boba and MB sunrise was also fantastic. We tried all of the taiyaki and they were all fire but the Nutella and cream cheese taro were our favorite.“
“The service was great! Liz's suggestions were followed. On this visit my son had the Asada burrito and I had Tacos GRANDES. Both were delicious and served on really hot plates, which added something that i can't quite articulate but like. It put the hot in hot meal I supposed.“
“This was a very pleasant surprise. My wife and I vacation in Pismo Beach as often as we can and always stop by Morro Bay to shop and eat. We had walked by the SUN N BUNS BAKERY earlier and thought it looked like a quaint little place. We had just finished dinner down the street and went to our usual spot for an ice cream dessert but they were already closed (Wednesday at about 7:00pm.) We decided to walk to the SUN N BUNS BAKERY to see if they were still open and they were. We were surprised at how quaint it was inside with tables to eat at. We had the Maui Wowie and the serving was a good size. We're not a fan of ice cream that is soft, but this was good and firm. While eating inside the location, my wife saw something interesting in the showcase. It was a dark chocolate covered Twinkie with sprinkles. When on vacation, we will try things we normally wouldn't consider at home. We are so happy we did. It was excellent! We're both in our sixties and it has been decades since we had a Twinkie, but this will make us get it again the next time we visit the area. The two ladies working there were very friendly as well. There is plenty of street parking and a free parking lot just down the street. There are also public restrooms just a short distance away. We will surely return in the future.“
“What a great find. We wanted Italian and searched the net. We had fantastic service and some outstanding traditional dishes. Carbonara, fettuccine and they had braciole on the menu. The owner came and worked the crowd. A genuine delight. And a special dessert of Spumoni ice cream with a crust prepared by the house of crushed Biscotti and chocolate with Pistachios. Can't wait to go back soon. All this at a reasonable price. Don't miss out on this treat.“
“I love the Hofbrau in Morro Bay it's the greatest Resteraunt in Morro Bay. I feel grateful to eat there. My Grandparents lived in Morro Bay for over 20 years. I bought Fish, Clam Chowder for my neighbor who is 95 she loved it. I bought Fish and Chips for take out for my Birthday.Valerie???❤️???“
“Ordered the spicy aloha style poke bowl with tuna and salmon. The poke itself was super flavorful, but the rice was burnt so there was some crispy rice in my bowl. I would probably just get the poke separately next time. Would recommend the popcorn shrimp, it was my favorite!“
“The view is amazing. We stopped in for their margarita which was perfect blend of sour and sweet and booze! The sourdough bread is yummy. The clam chowder was ok. I wouldn't order it again. The sandwiches are large and delicious. I really like the shrimp taco. But what I LOVE is the spicy sauce. I think they make it in house. I can eat that on anything.“
“I'm very picky about food, and their veggie scramble on croissant was absolutely delicious! I highly recommend checking this place for breakfast. Very affordable prices. And the coffee was great too! Service is awesome, nice, and kind girls! Thank you!“
“Very good burgers, everything fresh, good price, my husband ordered tacos de asada, very good, I recommend it and the girl is very happy and accompanied by their delicious 100% natural Jamaican water mmmmm delicious, friendly, I will return“
“The food was pretty good. Passing through Morro Bay. You have to go up to the window to order, which is totally fine. They have outside seating, which is totally nice overall had a great experience. If I passed you again, I would eat it again.“
“Love coming here for the live music. And great fish and chips. The fish and chips are lightly breaded and always hot and fresh. The clam chowder is a bit of a disappointment. Very creamy but a lack of clams not potatoey just needs more clams. Overall the food is delicious atmosphere is wonderful.“
“My wife and I have been eating sunset dinners at this restaurant a couple times a month for years. The views are absolutely fabulous from anywhere you ate seated. I cannot think of the last time that the service or the quality of the food let us down roses bar and grill is one of the locals favorites. An establishment that you can count on time and time again.“
“Here in 2024. This is San Luis Obispo county's last Foster freeze. I love sneaking in here and getting a double bacon cheeseburger some hot fries. But nothing's better than getting a double dipped cone. Cones are always fresh and never stale. Food is always fresh services outstanding. I hope they're here for years to come.“
“We were looking for a good burger place and some of the previous reviews helped us decide to give Beach Burger a try. Our decision was a good one. My grilled jalapeño burger with bacon, chipotle mayo and pepper jack cheese was delicious. My wife had a classic burger and she really enjoyed her meal. The view of the harbor and water from inside on a chilly afternoon was nice. It was a bit busy but the service was excellent and the food came promptly and hot. The next time we're craving a burger in Morro Bay, this is where we will go.“
“My husband and I came to Morro Bay for our anniversary. We decided to have our dinner here at the Harbor Hut. I ordered the chef special of 3 fish grill. The salmon, ahi tuna and white fish was delicious. Our server Heather was very nice. We had a great view of the ocean. I highly recommend this place.“
“This is the place that set me on a life long journey of loving Mexican food! You can't go wrong with anything on the menu at Lolos from the drinks to the entrees to the free chips and salsa. The food is lovingly homemade from family recipes. The service is amazing. They are attentive and generous with refills. This is a family run business and you can feel that personal touch of love and care. Lolos team is also fabulous for catering too. The food is warm and I always get compliments on their options. All in all, Lolos is a fantastic hole in the wall that locals love and people are always pleasantly surprised to find.“
“Great service. Great Michelada! Looking for a cheap place to have a great time near the coast. Look no further. Chips were so fresh they melted in my mouth but with a nice crunch. Salsa homemade with love my mouth was blasting with flavor. And the tortillas, fresh, fresh, frrresshhhh! Hands down delicioso!!!“
“The fish and chips were very good, the clam chowder was okay, overall I enjoyed the bang out of my buck from this place.Parking: Plenty of street parkingKid-friendliness: Kid friendly and kids menu, dog friendly too, they have water bowls for the dogs to drink.“
“Amazing atmosphere combining modern and rustic styles with a California coastal feel. The coffee and food were spectacular and the customer service even better!!! Would godly recommend it for anyone hoping to have a relaxing drink by the beach.“
