“Decided on a last minute whim to drive into Paso Robles for a wine tasting. Booked an 11am reservation the morning of. The service we received from Melissa was warm and personal. Weather…perfect! The wine was delightful. There was even a special surprise they sent us home with because we were celebrating our honeymoon. Out of the hundreds of wineries to choose from, we got lucky!!“

“What’s not to love about Fratelli Perata? As soon as you drive up, you are transported to Italy, gazing upon miles of rolling hills of vineyards as you get out of your car. Walking in, classic Italian music plays softly as one of the Perata family members greets you. The tasting menu is unique for Paso, focusing mainly on Italian varietals - and what lovely expressions they are. You’ll learn about the Perata family history while sipping on yummy Barbera and Sangiovese. You’ll want (at least) one of every bottle before you leave, guaranteed. We can’t wait to come back!“

“We met Brenda, (hopefully I got the name right. 😆). We sat with her and tried their whiskey flight and the flight of their other hard liquors. They also offer wines. This place is amazing. They take the leftover grape skins to make the harder alcohol. Everything was delicious and I was impressed with their philosophy. We bought 2 bottles of their rye and a bottle of their lemoncello to take home. Along with their special blend to make old fashions with. Definitely a place to visit if you are visiting Paso Robles or the surrounding area.“

“We’ve tasted wine at over 75 vineyards and wineries in the Paso Robles area - and we’ve driven past Denner dozens of times.

We’d always heard good things about Denner and finally made it in. And we’re so glad that we did!

One of the best tastings we’ve had in a long time - we joined on a Sunday when they offer side by side comparisons of their standard tastings and their library offerings.

The tasting felt so curated (by the lovely Peyton) - and gave us a perfect snapshot into the wine Denner is making and making so well.

“We enjoyed our stay here at Dark Star Cellers. We were here about 4 years ago and we did a tasting at that time but we have to say we really enjoyed the wines this time they seem to be a little more mature and the server gave us a great information on each of the wines and we enjoyed all eight wines in the tasting. We are also part of Harvest Host and we stayed on the property overnight. Very quiet, very nice and enjoy this place. We will be back again in the future.“

“This review is long overdue! We absolutely love Dubost! The wines are superb, and Kate is the warmest , most lovely person anyone would love to meet! Our first visit was during the pandemic. We sat outside next to the tasting room. Kate was wonderful and showed us around the winery. Our last visit was this last March. Went for Pizza day and Kate was the best, making Bob a GF little cheese plate. If your reading this Kate, we are headed your way 1st week of November! Cheers! Mark and Bob in Phoenix AZ.“

“We were going to go to Robert Hall but it was closed so we decided to go here instead. We were very happy to go here it's a very nice vineyard has a great view and Natalie was great also sugar the dog. Taste of all the wines had a nice comfortable couch outside. We did buy a few came across one that was very interesting remember what it's called mission Angelica very unique flavors very good color and all of us were trying to figure out so many things that we could put it on like ice cream and stuff like that.“

“This is our first Winery Tour ever, and Austin Hope was the first winery of our day, so we didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival, were warmly greeted with a glass of white wine, then escorted to a corner cabana with the backdrop of the vineyard! At first, I was a bit hesitant seating outside because it was March and this year has been unusually cold, but the hostess assured me that they had heat lamps and blankets. Sure enough, with the beautiful flame heat lamp and the soft warm blanket, we were comfortable and cozy, and settled into a wonderful experience. I forgot who was our server, but she was very knowledgeable about the wines, and also personable and caring. She make sure that we were comfortable, and our young daughter had sparkling water in her wine glass so she could (kind of) participate with us. I highly recommend their Charcuterie tray, which has a great assortment of wine, meats and nuts. I love how our server explained the wine at each pour, then leave us ample time to enjoy the glass and talk. She also brought us handwarmers to keep our hands warm. There were so many small caring touches that truly made our first winery tasting experience so wonderful. I'm not much of a wine person, but I ended up loving their wine too. After our tasting at Austin Hope, the other wineries just couldn't compare. Thank you very much for a first winery experience that I will never forget. I will definitely be back!“

“This was a very cool vineyard. Went for a tasting and it was pretty good they actually use new glasses for every pore which I like. This is not a mass producing vineyard but they do have a nice outside spot for tasting. The wine was pretty good bought a few bottles.“

“A little awkward intro… me & hubby winging it on the way to Tahoe from SNF and Kings Canyon via #78 (I think) Strange items in landscape, (ship) didn’t see any vineyards, other than sign “Wine Tasting,” and a man out by a truck near the gate. Asked if he was open, and long story short he invited us in and the entire experience was very interesting and just an amazing experience to remember! “One of the best vineyard tour experiences we have ever had. I highly recommend the UTV tour, tasting, and lunch. We had a fantastic time being driven around the vineyard, hearing about the history, and tasting some absolutely lovely wines. Their Mourvedre was our favorite. They do a great job with it and we will be ordering more of it. I lost the name of our guide, but he was fantastic. He does a lot for them as far as experiences go and he was awesome. Bravo!“

She made us feel so welcomed and comfortable. We shared stories but she also gave us space to enjoy and talk. Highly recommend the terrace tasting. The wines were incredible. My only complaint is being from Utah and not being able to join the club, therefore missing out on some of the better wines available. I get the exclusivity and lure to join but maybe exceptions for those that can’t get wine shipped to their homes! I would’ve left with more bottles and a much heavier suitcase!“

“I had the pleasure of tasting with Cordant Winery Troy and DeAnn were the most incredible hosts. What was really fantastic to me was their Pinots. Completely changed my mind on what I thought about Pinot. I was enamored with all their wines and highly recommend stopping by or making a reservation. Their cool climate Syrah and Grenache were also fantastic.Finished with the 21 Resolution a Grenache Blanc/Roussanne/Picpul blend was the perfect palate cleanser to finish with as well.I am so happy I stumbled over this.
