“What an incredible dinner! The food was some of the best I've ever eaten, highlighting the bounty of the local farms. One dish I'll never forget was an egg custard with the silkiest texture possible, topped with corn that tasted like summer itself and bacon with the perfect amount of smokiness. The wine pairing was fantastic, with wines from local producers and from afar, always perfectly complementing each course.

But what really sets Six Test Kitchen apart is the accessibility of the team and the space. Because they do a lot of the prep right there in front of the counter, there was a lot more opportunity to have a conversation about the food, learn about the techniques, and hear the story of how each dish came together than in most restaurants of this caliber. A world class meal, with smaller-town pacing and friendliness. Highly recommended!”

“4.5 stars simply because of how busy this place can get...the staff are generally friendly and knowledgeable about their wines and the tour of the underground cave/cellar is 100% worth the visit (it only takes about 15 mins). I definitely recommend reservations but you can do a walk-in late in the day and try to catch the 4:15pm "bar call" for the tour. The rose was best of the tasting offerings on the day we visited.”

Sommelier’s wine pairings are exceptional, really marries the savior flavors of the food with the tartness of the wines.

“The Via Caravaggio team catered our welcome dinner at the Paso Market Walk for our wedding weekend earlier this month and I couldn’t recommend working with them enough for catering events or just visiting thier restaurant at the Paso Market Walk to enjoy their delicious food! We got tons of compliments on how good the pizza and salads were and their team did a great job with the logistics of serving a larger party. “We’ve been here for wine tasting. We set outdoors overlooking winery. Friendly staff with the character explained history of the vineyard and told a story of each wine. Their wines are hidden gem: very interesting take on the Cotes-Du-Rhône wine style. We were so impressed that bought two bottles for our anniversary!”

“This place is a hidden gem. We had a fabulous wine tasting experience. They have very amazing setup for wine tasting overlooking vineyards. They extensive list wines, great reds and white wines (ended up buying 2 bottles:)). I forgot to ask the name of the server (may be owner :)) but he was gracious host. He was very knowledgeable and took time to explain about each wine he poured. He went above and beyond and even gave us few more pours which were not on the list. We were in last slot 4-5 pm, but we were still not rushed. In fact, he made sure we have a good time. Mush better experience than even Napa / Sonoma wineries. I would definitely recommend this place and would return if I am in Paso Robles again.”

“i was really wanting hash browns from jack in the box so i went to the one off santa rosa in atown and sat in their drivethru talking to myself before driving all the way to this one on creston and i’m so glad i did! I hope management sees this because the employee named Alex I was helped by this morning totally turned my morning around and also made me the best vanilla coffee i’ve gotten at a drivethru. He deserves a raise, he delivered such excellent customer service to me that I had to right my first google review.”

Well not only did we find a pizza place, we found a really good one and from the amount of business they where doing on a Wednesday evening I would say many people agree! It is locally owned and operated by friendly, helpful people who know how to make great food. Now if only they would open one in the Fresno/Clovis area.”

“My wife and I stopped in for lunch after visiting a winery in Paso Robles. The staff were very friendly and welcoming as soon as we walked in. Service if very fast and our food was brought to the table quickly. Their rolls are a little different than the standard sushi rolls. We ordered the Salmon King Roll, Kiss of Fire and some Fried Rice. All the food we had was good. I recommend this place and we will come back again next time we are in Paso Robles.

We don’t have any complaints about this place. The rolls are a little more expensive than what we normally pay in Michigan, but that was fine because they were good. The bill was $55 for the two of us before tip.”

“Finally tried this place out it’s been open for only a couple months. First of all the staff are super friendly making you feel welcome. The food was so delicious. My boyfriend and I got asada street tacos and shrimp ceviche. Both full of flavor and fairly priced. I’ll be a regular for the ceviche. Definitely give this one a 5 star rating.”

“I met with both owners; they were well-versed on their wine selections both white and red. I purchased several bottles including white and red. My favorite was Gemeny Vineyard Petite Syrah 2020: full body, low tannins. Rich nose and flavors.”

Not very good communication when I paid , took my card disappeared for a bit. Came back with my food handed me my card and that was it. “This place is incredible! Not only is the pizza delicious but the people are so amazing! We have stopped by after a full day on the lake and every time the pizza has been so good. The crust is magnificent! The toppings fresh and generous! My daughter chose a GF and said it was the best GF pizza she’s had. That says a lot since she lives in San Diego with a plethora of foodies. We will always choose Planet when we want pizza in Paso! Oh and being able to park on the street while towing a boat is so convenient.

“Meeting a friend for breakfast and we decided to try Monarca, as we are always looking for something good locally. This was a hit. The waitress brought ice water right away and then coffee which was delicious. We talked about being more adventurous but both ended up ordering the same thing. I had ham and eggs with sourdough toast and fruit instead of hash browns or home fries. She had the same except with home fries. The eggs were done perfectly and just as we asked. Her potatoes were very good as was my fruit dish. The waitress asked several times if we wanted more coffee but was not overbearing. One thing I noticed upon arrival which doesn’t affect the food at all but the coffee cups and water glasses were beautifully imprinted in gold with the Monarca logo. Just a little extra. We sat at our table for almost two hours catching up and never felt like we were being pushed to leave. I will order more adventurously next time. The chilaquiles and eggs Benedict looked wonderful. In addition, the prices were extremely reasonable. I’m having lunch there next week!”

“This is our first Winery Tour ever, and Austin Hope was the first winery of our day, so we didn't really know what to expect. Upon arrival, were warmly greeted with a glass of white wine, then escorted to a corner cabana with the backdrop of the vineyard! At first, I was a bit hesitant seating outside because it was March and this year has been unusually cold, but the hostess assured me that they had heat lamps and blankets. Sure enough, with the beautiful flame heat lamp and the soft warm blanket, we were comfortable and cozy, and settled into a wonderful experience. I forgot who was our server, but she was very knowledgeable about the wines, and also personable and caring. She make sure that we were comfortable, and our young daughter had sparkling water in her wine glass so she could (kind of) participate with us. I highly recommend their Charcuterie tray, which has a great assortment of wine, meats and nuts. I love how our server explained the wine at each pour, then leave us ample time to enjoy the glass and talk. She also brought us handwarmers to keep our hands warm. There were so many small caring touches that truly made our first winery tasting experience so wonderful. I'm not much of a wine person, but I ended up loving their wine too. After our tasting at Austin Hope, the other wineries just couldn't compare. Thank you very much for a first winery experience that I will never forget. I will definitely be back!”

“We've been coming here so often that they started remembering what we liked to order. The stout is good and not heavy so I can drink a whole pint and not be dizzy in the slightest. The cheese curds are awesome with the ranch sauce they make. I usually get the wagu burger and add bacon/avocado to the burger. They cook it medium rare and it melts in your mouth. The chicken strips are well seasoned. We love the tacos. The establishment has only been open for a short while and I really already like coming here. We usually get a couple krowlers to go of the stout which they can do with any of their beers on tap.”

Our server was attentive and kind, keeping our water full in the heat. It’s well air conditioned, so a great spot for dining in the heat waves. Try the sweet potato fries, you won’t be disappointed.”
