Still Waters Vineyards and Tasting Room Wineries • $$
2750 Old Grove Ln, Paso Robles

“If you're into sipping wine with a view, you gotta check out Stillwater, their patio is the real deal with stunning vineyard views.Once we sat down, we were served with complimentary olives and crackers. They grow their own olives and they're super delicious but too bad they don't sell them.We were told that post-covid, they used to host weddings now they are hosting music events instead. We tried their blanc, grenache, merlot, and blend and we were impressed with the wines. We ended up getting a few bottles of their rose, white, and red to take home. Stillwater is one of the best spots for wine tasting. Super chill vibe, awesome wine, and that view is definitely worth a visit! It's dog-friendly and our dog loves this winery too!“

Copia Vineyards and Winery - Adelaida Vineyard Estate and Tasting Room Winery • $$

“We first discovered Copia in 2020 and instantly fell in love with all the wine and everyone that works there! We come back at least once a year and each time there's something new, they're always growing, and their passion grows with them! The small band of employees remember you and make sure you're having a great time. I love the Source, it's my favorite red, and my husband like the White. I would recommend doing their wine food pairing, it's like little gourmet plates that bring out the wine so so well! This is our first wine membership, and we're so happy with our choice!“

Caliza Winery Winery • $$$
2570 Anderson Rd, Paso Robles

“Wonderful winery. Very relaxed. Great ambiance. Absolutely delicious wines. Morrey, our server was great. Ambiance. Beautiful tasting room. Not mammoth. Sitting outside and doing our tasting was great. As a side note, they had no problem that we had brought some items to gnosh on while tasting. Service. Morrey was our server. Just a wonderful man. He has helped us both times that we were here. He is very knowledgeable in talking about the wine, and the winemaker's vision. He did this in a way that was informative and not condescending. Such a nice man. Wines. Ok. Here is where they shine. They produce Rhône varietals. We started with a Rose', and then we tasted a very complex Roussane. We then tasted Cohort, which was a Petite Syrah, Syrah and Mouvedre blend. Next was the Syrah. Absolutely amazing. We then tasted Companion. This is a Cabernet Sauvignon, Syrah and Petite Verdot blend. Again, delicious. Here's the problem. All were delicious. It's in trying to limit how much that you are going to buy. In summation, this is a must visit stop if you enjoy Rhône Varietals.“

The owner himself spent a lot of time talking with us, giving us the history of the vineyard, and sharing stories with us. It had such a homey feel and the wine was pretty good as well! We also liked it because it was further away from the hustle and bustle of Paso Robles and it really felt like a retreat. It was a fantastic place to stay and I would not hesitate to recommend it to others.“

Plus, having the winemaker there to share the story was magical. They say the devil's in the details, but at Cairjn you can tell that they've thought of ALL of those details, from the interesting labels and icons on each wine to the cork they use. Desparada Wines Wineries • $$

“We had a great time here thanks to Charlotte. It was a rainy Thursday before Christmas, so it wasn't busy and Charlotte was able to spend a lot of time with my wife and me to go into more detail about the winery, the wines, and Paso Robles in general as this was our first time in the region. She also made an effort to keep our little one entertained by showing him their books and pet turtle. The wines are excellent too :) Out of three tasting rooms' worth of wine on the day, Sackcloth & Ashes was my wife's top wine of the day. She's also not a Chardonnay fan, but she really liked Wayfinder. My favorite was the Carmen Sauvignon Blanc. It's unlikely any Sauvignon Blanc I've had before and I enjoyed the different expression. It was a riper fruit profile, but still lots of acid to keep it interesting. Thank you Charlotte for a memorable experience!“

Diablo Paso Winery • $$
1220 Park St, Paso Robles

“Nice little place, simple tasty wines with the old world flair. I'm more of a "red" drinker so I cannot really comment about their white. It was ok for me but again white sweeter type of wine isn't my thing. We moved on to taste the rest of the lineup. The second one on the list was such an easy drink. I visualized an everyday dinner drink with my family. As we moved on, Fernando was explaining the different varietals of blends in the wine. Each tasting became more dry as we moved through the tasting list (which was what I was looking for - thanks). The whole experience was really enjoyable and Fernando was a true host and entertained our small group. I left there impressed by the wines they offered and will definitely recommend them to friends passing through town.“

Indigené Cellars Winery • $$
815 12th St, Paso Robles

“Hidden gem of a tasting room in the heart of Paso RoblesIf you're walking on the sidewalks, you will miss this one unless you keep a sharp eye for signs pointing to it. This wineries tasting room is a small but cozy room with the entrance opening on a parking area. Next door to Jeffrey s Wine Country BBQ.The counter service here is friendly and informative. Their tasting flight makes it really difficult to pick just one varietal. I bought five bottles, this being the only white wine. I never buy white wine or rosé. This one changed all that.Their Rozanne Pinot Noir Rosé is the only white wine I will drink. I bought only one bottle of that to bring home and four others of their traditional Pinot Noirs that I tasted and really enjoyed! I will update this post once I open those bottles.I have checked at another large chain here that sells wine and more. They don't carry it so it looks like a road trip is in order to restock on the Rosé. I might need to sign up for the wine club on this one. ?. Ship it to me, please and thank you!“

CONCUR Wines Winery •
2945 Limestone Way, Paso Robles

“My wife and I had no idea "Tin City" even existed, but it's cool! Great place for one stop all day wine tasting. The GEM of Tin City is Concur! Patrick was an incredible host (and owner). He made my wife, daughter, dog, and myself feel very comfortable and welcome. They even had coloring books and puzzles for my daughter! She had a blast. Now, the wines. It's VERY seldom that I enjoy every wine at a tasting, but chalk that up to a very surprising first. Don't get me wrong, I liked some more than others, but they were all good. The stars of the show, in my humble opinion, the chardonnay and the red blend. WOW! Rare for me to enjoy a white as much as this. All of their wines finished so smoothly. Impressive wine making. Their bottles are not the cheapest but worth the price. Good wine isn't cheap, cheap wine isn't usually good. Do yourself a favor and stop in for a tasting. You will be glad you did. Thank you, Patrick, we will be back.“

Loma Seca Vineyards Winery •

“Steve and Pam are the best hosts you could ever ask for. They have such a love for people and wine, it is quite apparent. As they can tell you (as our time there was spent relishing their company and getting to know one another) we were there to celebrate our wedding and have a little coastal miniMoon. The views are incredible’ They have a gem of an intimate place. It’s honestly flawless. The secret is out, but they don’t charge for their tasting. But that doesn’t matter because you’ll want to buy a bottle or two, they’re just that good. Almost as good as their company. I feel like I made new friends! See you next time!Other notes:They are very dog friendly and they provided homegrown and home-brined (delicious) olives and crackers.Again, they are the sweetest owners and couple and they do everything themselves. Organic and self-blended. Just amazing.“

Aaron Wines Winery •
3050 Limestone Way, Paso Robles

“Really the question is why wouldn't you stop here? We came on a Sunday afternoon last minute after reading other reviews on Yelp regarding this great spot. It proved to be perfect. Gibson was amazing. We enjoyed wine tasting outside on the patio. Brought our own bread and olive oil from another local place (separate review) and began the journey through Aaron and the style of wine he creates. Gibson was friendly, knowledgeable and a great host. He conveyed the path taken in the creation of these wines and answered all our questions seamlessly. I felt at times as if we were talking to the wine maker himself because he was so knowledgeable. We enjoyed and purchased a few bottles and one of us became a wine club member. The patio was dog friendly and covered. Sometimes these places can be stuffy, not this place. Down to earth people sharing a down to earth wine. So I ask again why wouldn't you stop here? There really is no reason.“

Thacher Winery & Vineyard Winery •
8355 Vineyard Dr, Paso Robles

“Thacher wine is a family owned winery with an authentic farm like atmosphere . It's about 25 min from downtown Paso Robles. It has old stables and barns and chickens and rooster running around which I loved!!! This was a second winery of the day and we were feeling pretty good lol! Our reservation was for 3:30 pm so by the time we got there it wasn't very crowded at all which was nice. We were greeted right away by Beck, who let us sit wherever we'd like and we chose to sit outside next to the heater. He also provided blankets as well which was nice since it was a bit chilly. Becks energy was so contagious and that really enhanced our wine tasting visit, and we really enjoyed his thorough explanations of The Oxymoronic theme with their wine and label- love it! Beck gave us an extra wine rosé for our patience, as he was caring for a couple things as well as serving our tasting. Our fave wines were Triumvirate reserve zinfandel (100% Zinfandel) and Original copy( Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot). Although there was no food served we didn't mind at all and were able to grab a bite later once we got back into downtown Paso Robles. Our tasting cost $20 a person and since we bought a bottle of the Triumvirate and left a tip our overall cost was $114.79. We would definitely come back to Thacher in the spring when it's warmer and sit outside again to enjoy the wine and watch the chickens!“
