“My choice for what to recommend for Turtle Rock from Facebook suggestions were things like picnics and ambiance etc. How about the MFing wine? We shipped a ton of wine back from our last trip to Paso and the one we keep going back to over and over is Turtle Rock. Drinking the G2 tonight with a petite filet and it’s just awesome. Comes out of the bottle like ink with leather and earth and like stewed cherry and plum. The more we drink the more we love TR.“

We visited Cairjn for the first time, and were very pleased with the wine. All of the varietals have the depth and complexity that only a skilled and dedicated winemaker could create.

“Decided on a last minute whim to drive into Paso Robles for a wine tasting. Booked an 11am reservation the morning of. The service we received from Melissa was warm and personal. Weather…perfect! The wine was delightful. There was even a special surprise they sent us home with because we were celebrating our honeymoon. Out of the hundreds of wineries to choose from, we got lucky!!“

“PIUS Estates is an absolute gem in Paso Robles! The property is stunning with beautiful vineyard views, modern architecture, and so many picturesque spots to relax and take photos. The atmosphere is peaceful, elegant, and perfect for a wine tasting or a relaxing afternoon with friends.

The wines were excellent, and the staff made the experience even better. Everyone was welcoming, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain each pour without making us feel rushed. Every detail of the winery feels thoughtfully designed, from the outdoor seating areas to the landscaping overlooking the vineyards.

If you’re visiting Paso Robles, PIUS Estates is definitely worth adding to your itinerary. I can’t wait to come back!“

Our server was from the area and had lots of recommendations for us and even wrote them out so we'd remember! The flagship wine Azimuth is that for a reason. Definitely wonderful and a great souvenir to take home!“

“We met Brenda, (hopefully I got the name right. 😆). We sat with her and tried their whiskey flight and the flight of their other hard liquors. They also offer wines. This place is amazing. They take the leftover grape skins to make the harder alcohol. Everything was delicious and I was impressed with their philosophy. We bought 2 bottles of their rye and a bottle of their lemoncello to take home. Along with their special blend to make old fashions with. Definitely a place to visit if you are visiting Paso Robles or the surrounding area.“

“We had a wonderful time on a Friday afternoon at this beautiful, quaint winery. We were given such a warm welcome with personalized menus and even our dog got a bandana and yummy treats! He was in heaven being there with us! These little touches are so special when you’re surrounded by wineries and have to decide where to spend your afternoon.
Bordeaux style wines are some of our favourite so we knew we were in for a treat. The wine is fabulous (our favourite was Limerick but I’d happily take all of them home). The friendly owners were on site and insisted we try another wine not on the list to compare which was a nice treat showcasing the right bank and left bank styles of Bordeaux. Everyone working made us feel comfortable and like we’ve been there many times before. Needless to say, we look forward to returning often!“

We sat outside next to the tasting room. Kate was wonderful and showed us around the winery. Our last visit was this last March. We’d always heard good things about Denner and finally made it in. And we’re so glad that we did!

One of the best tastings we’ve had in a long time - we joined on a Sunday when they offer side by side comparisons of their standard tastings and their library offerings.

The tasting felt so curated (by the lovely Peyton) - and gave us a perfect snapshot into the wine Denner is making and making so well.

“My hubby and I went earlier this year, even though we aren't wine drinkers. I chose Thacher Winery as a stop off for our scenic drive through Paso Robles beautiful wine country because of the vineyard history and the Barn. While there we were given a personal tour by Mrs Thacher even though we weren't there to drink or purchase wine.. The scenic setting of the wine tasting area was stunning, and we ended up tasting one of their wines!! We are now Thacher Wine drinkers!!! We highly recommend stopping by.“

“We enjoyed our stay here at Dark Star Cellers. We were here about 4 years ago and we did a tasting at that time but we have to say we really enjoyed the wines this time they seem to be a little more mature and the server gave us a great information on each of the wines and we enjoyed all eight wines in the tasting. We are also part of Harvest Host and we stayed on the property overnight. Very quiet, very nice and enjoy this place. We will be back again in the future.“

“We were going to go to Robert Hall but it was closed so we decided to go here instead. We were very happy to go here it's a very nice vineyard has a great view and Natalie was great also sugar the dog. Taste of all the wines had a nice comfortable couch outside. We did buy a few came across one that was very interesting remember what it's called mission Angelica very unique flavors very good color and all of us were trying to figure out so many things that we could put it on like ice cream and stuff like that.“

“This is an amazing Winery. We stayed on site at the Clark house. It was a beautiful scene as an overlooked The vineyards. You can see the sunrise from the East in its full Glory.
Definitely plan to return... very close to town and what a charming Town it is!“

Asked if he was open, and long story short he invited us in and the entire experience was very interesting and just an amazing experience to remember! “One of the best vineyard tour experiences we have ever had. I highly recommend the UTV tour, tasting, and lunch. We had a fantastic time being driven around the vineyard, hearing about the history, and tasting some absolutely lovely wines. Their Mourvedre was our favorite. They do a great job with it and we will be ordering more of it. I lost the name of our guide, but he was fantastic. He does a lot for them as far as experiences go and he was awesome. Bravo!“

“I had the pleasure of tasting with Cordant Winery Troy and DeAnn were the most incredible hosts. What was really fantastic to me was their Pinots. Completely changed my mind on what I thought about Pinot. I was enamored with all their wines and highly recommend stopping by or making a reservation. Their cool climate Syrah and Grenache were also fantastic.Finished with the 21 Resolution a Grenache Blanc/Roussanne/Picpul blend was the perfect palate cleanser to finish with as well.I am so happy I stumbled over this. “Kevin Riley consistently produces some of the best wine in California. I always find myself coming back to Proulx wine when I am looking for something that will knock my socks off. The Wah and Jack Barrett are worth every penny and then some. Proulx also has wines that are great for just everyday drinking. If you like Rose, you have to try some of Kevin's Grenache Rose. All the Proulx wines I have tried drink well right away, but also hold up well over the years. The Proulx tasting room is one of me and my wife's must visit places whenever we go to California. The tasting room has beautiful views, and everyone there is always welcoming, friendly, and full of great information and stories. Kevin has some great wines for a variety of budgets, but he is also always trying something new, so a stop in the tasting room is always worth it.“
