“We have the ability to buy Justin Isosceles at home in WI so that particular wine brought us out here to Paso for the first time. The curves & hills you need to drive out to the winery on Chimney Rock road are well worth it!
You are greeted at the door & shown to your table. Karley was our wine educator for the day. She shared with us dark, delicious reds that were all estate grown and a crisp, yet smooth Chardonnay from Monterey county. We snacked on some focaccia while enjoying the beautiful scenery & mouthwatering wines. We have a few bottles that will highlight our table back home.“

“Small vineyard that produces delicious wines. The owner, Steve, came through and spent a good deal of time with us. We opted for the outdoor terrace which has beautiful views of the vines and the surrounding area. Our server, Michael, did a great job of explaining each wine including where the grapes were grown, percentages of the various varietals, and type of barreling. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here and we will be back again.“
“Spent our annual October wine weekend in Paso a few weeks ago, and decided we needed to try some new spots. Cairjn came highly recommended and it did not disappoint. While not easy to find, it is worth the hunt. Victor was a fabulous host, giving us the background on the winemaker and owners - while at the same time, engaging with our nostalgic memories of who had been in the spot where they now reside. The wines are my style - rhone based with great fruit and full body. The labels are also unusual and the markings one of a kind. Highly recommended. We will be back!“

“We had a wonderful experience at Willow Creek Wine Co. last weekend! Their wines are fantastic, we truly enjoyed everything we tasted! The experience itself was incredible…greeted by the winemakers/owners was such a treat having them spend time chatting and sharing their passion! Then Berkeley created such a memorable experience, shared a delicious perfectly paired plate to go with our tasting and walked us through each of the wines. “Iconic, lively and has quite a few value wines. It’s a winery we always visit in Paso but we felt the wines weren’t quite as good these days. Several were very good but many were so-so. Still, we bought a couple bottles of the ones we liked best that you can’t get in the supermarket. Enjoyable tasting experience.“

“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Union Sacre Winery, and I can’t say enough about the wonderful experience I had! From the moment I arrived, the customer service was outstanding. The staff welcomed us and made us feel right at home. They took the time to get to know us, sharing their passion for wine and guiding me through their tasting selections with great care. We loved hearing about their unique story and their journey in the wine industry.
As for the wine, we loved each one! We were impressed by their unique wines, which showcased the winemaker's creativity and attention to detail. You can truly taste the love and craftsmanship in every bottle!

“We had such a fun time here! It's right behind Dark Star Cellars tasting room-recommend you walk right by that and into Volatus! The winemaker was full of stories and had us laughing the whole time. The wine was also delicious! The place has a military theme because the owner and winemakers we're/are also in the military. They do a lot of great stuff for veterans, too. Great place!“
“I recently had the pleasure of visiting Four Lanterns Winery with my mom, who is a wine club member and was excited to share this experience with us. We arrived just before a scheduled event and were informed that tastings were no longer available. However, after explaining our situation and requesting a quick tasting before the event began, the staff went above and beyond to accommodate us.
Jackie was incredibly friendly and made an exception for us, allowing us to enjoy a brief tasting. Her willingness to go the extra mile made us feel genuinely cared for, and it turned what could have been a disappointing visit into a memorable experience.

“We stayed there through harvest host on Saturday night. We were greeted promptly and they showed us where to park our RV. Wine was great and tastings were reasonable priced. Lots of parking and lots of tables. Some seating inside and out. They often have entertainment and we got lucky they did the night we were there They had a kids movie night inside the open air tasting room and parents could hang out and taste wine. We especially loved the Zinfandel and the other blends. The rose was good too.“

“Although not a popular spirit at the moment, Re:Find Gin is hands down the best Gin I have ever tasted, and although I'm just a guy on the internet, I have had literally hundreds upon hundreds of different Gins. The Rye is EXCELLENT, albeit young in taste, and is far below the price of equivalent Rye's on the market at around $70, making it a must buy for your home bar/consumption. The Burbon is also excellent, however it is pricey at the current offering. The current non-cub price of $160 is too much for my limited palate when you can get, just off the top of my head, a 6, 10, or 12 year Whistlepig for significantly less. Mixers and other offerings are a fantastic buy for the non-purist or for the many of us that just want a terrific beverage after work...without the work :) Re:Find is the first membership I decided to sign up for in over 14 years. You can't go wrong with small batch made with love over mass-market.“

“Sculpterra is such a vibe! It’s not just wine tasting, you get this amazing sculpture garden with live music and a really chill atmosphere. Bruce, wine educator, was super cool and made sure we had a blast. The food truck hit the spot, too, and we even got 10% off! Definitely worth the drive, perfect spot for a day out.“
“We spent a week in Paso Robles. During our visit, we enjoyed the L'Aventure wines and the relaxing atmosphere on the patio. Our hostess was very attentive, friendly, and courteous. We tasted three wines, while other wineries in the area offered five. Also, each of the other wineries offered a pour of a special wine they were offering that was not on the list. They also provided a second pour of a particular wine on the list if you asked for it.
L'Aventure offered none of those extras. I believe they could have been more generous with folks who made the trip to visit there in person. It's just good business. In that sense the experience was slightly disappointing. I'm not sure if I will keep them on my list for our next visit to the area.“

Alyssa provided us with unforgettable experiences—Alta Colina Rosé is one of my favorites. I even brought some home. My Rosé made the flight all the way to Columbus with me—it’s that good.“

“An amazing time here for oh so many reasons. First and foremost Erik made us feel as if we've known him for years. His knowledge of the wines and the history of the brand are unequaled. The charcuterie was a perfect pairing for the many different wines that were offered in the tasting. The red wines (I'm bias toward reds!) were some of the best I've tasted in a long time. Being from Illinois we've found it hard to find thier wines and now knowing they will ship is a gift. I'm no expert or wine snob but the Cabernet and the Syrah were the show stoppers. Go see them and then tell me I'm wrong.........I dare you!!!!!! Kudos to the owners and the staff......you're doing things right!“

Stellar Winery STILL after being a member for several years now. No BS, just great wine from the bottle. The team is fantastic because the wine itself is not pretentious.
March Visit:
After visiting 12 wineries from Monterey to Paso last week, Caliza STILL stands out to be the BEST from the wine to the hospitality. The boutique rustic-style tasting room is tucked away at the end of the road beyond Booker Vineyard. Rarely do I ever enjoy every single wine from a tasting, but somehow Carl's wines have made purchasing just a single bottle or even a few bottles nearly impossible. Shout out to Tyler, Maury, and Mandy again for always making our visit memorable. We are glad and appreciative of Caliza following Covid precautions. Looking forward to next time!
Feb Visit:
QPR is absolutely on point! Hospitality is absolutely on point! Maury and Tyler were fantastic! Everyone working here is here because what they do is truly guiding the potential of the fruit. The wine speaks for itself. No overpriced wine! No fancy tasting room to curve your experience. Just honesty from both the employees and wine!“

“We took the TRI tip sandwich, it was warm, and the combination of cheese and beef was really good.
The desert was crunchy, and the cheese filling worked amazingly with the pistachio.
We took the wine testing, and opaque darkness is the best one by far, it goes smooth, with deep flavors.“
“My choice for what to recommend for Turtle Rock from Facebook suggestions were things like picnics and ambiance etc. How about the MFing wine? We shipped a ton of wine back from our last trip to Paso and the one we keep going back to over and over is Turtle Rock. Drinking the G2 tonight with a petite filet and it’s just awesome. Comes out of the bottle like ink with leather and earth and like stewed cherry and plum. The more we drink the more we love TR.“
“What’s not to love about Fratelli Perata? As soon as you drive up, you are transported to Italy, gazing upon miles of rolling hills of vineyards as you get out of your car. Walking in, classic Italian music plays softly as one of the Perata family members greets you. The tasting menu is unique for Paso, focusing mainly on Italian varietals - and what lovely expressions they are. You’ll learn about the Perata family history while sipping on yummy Barbera and Sangiovese. You’ll want (at least) one of every bottle before you leave, guaranteed. We can’t wait to come back!“

This winery was the first choice for the best wine. This is the place to BUY wine. There is no winery in the area that produces a better product for the money. Their wines would sell for double at some of the bigger named wineries on the west side of Paso.“
“It’s always nice to taste Paix sur Terre wines, they are consistently delicious and you get a real small winery atmosphere and service. The location is beautiful and understated. Jackson was knowledgeable and friendly, and when I left my credit card there he drove it to the next winery I was going to! Thank you for another relaxed tasting of this seriously good wine!“

“Incredible wine, excellent tasting experience! The beautiful drive out there alone makes the trip worth it, but the wine really seals the deal. Aram and Greg were there to greet my wife and I at the door. The two of them provided us with exceptional service and walked us through the menu. My wife and I ended up taking home a bottle of pretty much everything we tasted! My wife is French, and naturally a wine snob. She gave me the double thumbs up, this hit the mark.
You couldn't ask for a more personal tasting experience in a more pristine setting. The dogs, the goats, and the tasting area covered with oak trees makes it all such a pleasure.
Definitely pay these guys a visit. You will be happy you did!“
