“We were blown away by our visit to the Cairjn Wine Cellar. Aside from great tasting wine, Victor took the time to tell us the Cairjn story, explain the wine making process, and take us on a tour. Even the owner, Andy, was able to break away from winemaking to meet with us. The experience and wine was simply fantastic. In a few years, Cairjn will be the next big brand coming out of Paso, just ask the locals. If you are in Paso Robles and want to have an excellent wine tasting experience, you must visit the Cairjn wine cellar. Make sure you tell Lola hello as well!“

“My choice for what to recommend for Turtle Rock from Facebook suggestions were things like picnics and ambiance etc. How about the MFing wine? We shipped a ton of wine back from our last trip to Paso and the one we keep going back to over and over is Turtle Rock. Drinking the G2 tonight with a petite filet and it’s just awesome. Comes out of the bottle like ink with leather and earth and like stewed cherry and plum. The more we drink the more we love TR.“

The wines are special, Janis described them as 'round, with no sharp edges'. Their approach of totally natural farming produces exceptional wines. If you get a chance, don't miss it - you will be more than impressed with their wines and the people.“

“We enjoyed our stay here at Dark Star Cellers. We were here about 4 years ago and we did a tasting at that time but we have to say we really enjoyed the wines this time they seem to be a little more mature and the server gave us a great information on each of the wines and we enjoyed all eight wines in the tasting. We are also part of Harvest Host and we stayed on the property overnight. Very quiet, very nice and enjoy this place. We will be back again in the future.“

“PIUS Estates is an absolute gem in Paso Robles! The property is stunning with beautiful vineyard views, modern architecture, and so many picturesque spots to relax and take photos. The atmosphere is peaceful, elegant, and perfect for a wine tasting or a relaxing afternoon with friends.

The wines were excellent, and the staff made the experience even better. Everyone was welcoming, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain each pour without making us feel rushed. Every detail of the winery feels thoughtfully designed, from the outdoor seating areas to the landscaping overlooking the vineyards.

We are always impressed by both the winemaker and his work, which is why we joined the club. We are big fans of Lagom, but we equally enjoy Banshee and Akasha. Aly is also one of the main reasons we look forward to each visit—she is truly a treasure. The wines speak for themselves, but it’s the welcoming and personable people at Torrin who truly win us over.“

We were lucky to have Ray as our guide—his knowledge and generosity made our visit so much more meaningful. He helped us understand the wines, the winery, and the region in a whole new way. “My wife and went to Volatus based on reviews and we are adding 5 star. Daniel our wine guide was fantastic. Great knowledge of wines and the Paso Robles area. We went on a Wednesday so we had the tasting room to ourselves. The red wines were full bodied and are drinking very well now, and will age nicely. Daniel explained we are in a slow period ( just a few days) as the wine festival had just passed and we are entering Memorial day weekend. The vibe and energy was excellent. Cheers to the owner and all he does.“

“What’s not to love about Fratelli Perata? As soon as you drive up, you are transported to Italy, gazing upon miles of rolling hills of vineyards as you get out of your car. Walking in, classic Italian music plays softly as one of the Perata family members greets you. The tasting menu is unique for Paso, focusing mainly on Italian varietals - and what lovely expressions they are. You’ll learn about the Perata family history while sipping on yummy Barbera and Sangiovese. You’ll want (at least) one of every bottle before you leave, guaranteed. We can’t wait to come back!“

“We met Brenda, (hopefully I got the name right. 😆). We sat with her and tried their whiskey flight and the flight of their other hard liquors. They also offer wines. This place is amazing. They take the leftover grape skins to make the harder alcohol. Everything was delicious and I was impressed with their philosophy. We bought 2 bottles of their rye and a bottle of their lemoncello to take home. Along with their special blend to make old fashions with. Definitely a place to visit if you are visiting Paso Robles or the surrounding area.“

“One of the best vineyard tour experiences we have ever had. I highly recommend the UTV tour, tasting, and lunch. We had a fantastic time being driven around the vineyard, hearing about the history, and tasting some absolutely lovely wines. Their Mourvedre was our favorite. They do a great job with it and we will be ordering more of it. I lost the name of our guide, but he was fantastic. He does a lot for them as far as experiences go and he was awesome. Bravo!“

“Came here of Sunday morning. The young lady working was so friendly and welcoming. The wine was really good. Their reds were some of my favorite. The gernache was awesome. I also enjoyed the Zin. The wines were membership worthy.

One thing that made the experience even nicer was the outdoor patio. It was very kind friendly. Had nice seats with a fire.

I definitely recommend checking this place out. I bought a bottle of their holiday wine for Christmas. It was a perfect visit.“

“Their vineyard view house was the coolest place to stay!! We enjoyed an overnight there on our way down to Southern California and it was amazing. “Caliza was a lovely and relaxing winery to start the morning off slow. The wines were great, the scenery was serene and the service was interactive and quite friendly. Our server was from the area and had lots of recommendations for us and even wrote them out so we'd remember! The flagship wine Azimuth is that for a reason. Definitely wonderful and a great souvenir to take home!“
