“Dirk (owner & winemaker) of Absolution Cellars in Morro Bay brought my husband and I here this past weekend. We knew we were going to be in for some delicious wine because winemakers ALWAYS know the good places to go, but what we didn't know was we were going to receive amazing customer service along with fun wine education that we loved! Reyna was the most amazing host and she was so knowledgeable about each wine! I loved that she was willing to teach us about their delicious riesling and pinor noirs (but she was also willing to not over talk had we been the type to want to sit by ourselves)! I learned alot from Reyna! Their Riesling was the best I've ever had! So good, very well balanced and only a little sweet. Their chardonnay was not oakey, which made it delicious for me! 1 pinot was "lighter" while the other was more full bodied. Both were absolutely delicious! My pinot loving husband bought the fuller bodied pinot because it was so delicious. The zinfandel was amazing and not jammy which we prefer! We were fortunate to do the cheese pairing and they use cheese from Viviant cheese in paso robles which made me so happy! And they sell the cheese too! We left with 2 bottles of wine and cheese and can't wait to go back!! Always trust another winemakers recommendation, they know where the good wines are!!“
“We did a couple fights and a couple glasses of wine. All the reds were exceptionally well made. We had some nice conversation with the other patrons and with the owner and wine maker, Tom. Wines are in the $40 - $50 a bottle price range, which I thought was reasonable considering the quality of the wines. We'll be back!“
“We are wine members and love everything about this winery! Their wines (especially the Zinfandel!) are outstanding and think it is the best place to sit in the sun and sip while taking in the beautiful views from their patio. Outstanding!!!“
“I've been a club member for a few years and their wine continues to get better and better every year. This location has an amazing ocean view available from their outdoor patio which is perfect in the summer. Their staff is always friendly and very patient with everyone (big or small parties). If it's your first time stopping by make sure to make a reservation so they can seat you right away, the flight fee is waived with the purchase of two bottles. The 2020 Arbuckle Ridge Cabernet Ridge is phenomenal, and 2021 bunkhouse can are a must try. Lastly, for those that travel with their furry family members this place is dog friendly.“
“Excellent experience! Grandparents have been twice and had a blast! The wine caves are amazing and if you go ask for Vernon he knows just about everything there is to know about Justin. The whole ambience was great and beautiful views. The hamburgers are delicious and the service is excellent. Staff is super attentive and friendly.“
“I realized that I never updated my review for Moonstone Cellars. I clearly liked this place, cause ya girl has been a wine club member since 2011 (you do the math). I just recently upgraded my club from 3 bottles to 6 bottles. I basically got a max discount now. Well worth it! The wine is so yummy, you'll want to join this club. The reds are the best, but they have some tasty whites as well. The Cabernet Sauvignon is my favorite, and that they have Petit Syrah, get it. For whites, the Albarino is nice and dry, def not too sweet. Parking wise, there's a lot across the way as well as street. The restroom is located in the parking lot as well.“
