Wrath Wines- Winery Tasting Room Wineries • $$

“It was our first-time wine tasting in Soledad; we usually go up north for wine tasting but wanted to try out the area since it's close by. Wrath Wines was our first stop, and the staff was extremely friendly and welcomed us as soon we entered the tasting room. There are three wine-tasting options to choose from, Ex Tasting ($20), Winemakers Tasting ($25) & Single Vineyard Tasting ($30). We decided to do the Single Vineyard Tasting to try the best of what the estate had to offer.Once we walked outside, we were amazed by the beautiful views outside. We sat down and sipped on our wine, and we all enjoyed our first taste! We got prosciutto to snack on. We were going to get the charcuterie board, but after seeing the big portion size, we didn't want to fill up so quickly. Their food options are well worth it all around! We were there for about two hours, and we didn't realize how fast time had passed. The staff was very knowledgeable of all their wines and did a fantastic job giving a very detailed description of each wine.I regret not purchasing any wines, but I plan on purchasing some on my next visit, which will be very soon!“

“Stopped here after hiking Pinnacles. What a great tasting experience. The ownership was very welcoming and friendly, with a great laid back atmosphere. They also made great wine at a reasonable price! We loved TKO and their Pinots. All the best to them from their new friends in Cleveland, OH! ??“

Zabala Vineyards Wineries •

“I enjoy wine and I love wines from Zabala Vineyards. I had several bottles of wines from this vineyard with my family over the holidays this year, both Pinot Noir and Rieslings. What compelled me to write a review was that remarkably, this was the first and only time that everyone.....and I do mean every single member of my family that was there for the holidays, including in-laws....everyone in my family loved the wine. It was really a great holiday moment in retrospect and one that I won't soon, or ever, forget. At first only about half of us were even drinking, I let it be known that I loved the wine but I have eclectic tastes so my family doesn't always take my advice on food and drink. Slowly at first, I could tell that something was happening throughout the house. People were talking about the wine and one by one each person that had initially declined a glass decided to try it out. We had 4 bottles from Zabala and each of us had our favorite but everyone agreed that it was fantastic. It was like one of those magical moments right out of a sappy holiday movie. Some of my family like wine and will always try one out and some took my recommendation right away and had a glass but my favorite of all were the few that, at first, politely declined. Each had the same look on their face as if they wanted to keep the mood light and joyous but also didn't trust my opinion and wouldn't have a glass no matter how good I said it was. Before the end of the night every one of them had tried a glass and all of them had the same reaction, their eyes perked up, the corners on their mouths raised, and each said, "Oh wow! that really is good (or great, fantastic, tasty, etc.)" but each of them really loved it. It is here in 2018 that a York family tradition was born and while I don't know where we'll buy a turkey or what bakery we'll use next year I know exactly where to get our wine for next Christmas......and Thanksgiving.“

Carmel Road Winery Winery •
37300 Doud Rd # D, Soledad

“Hi all. This is not a winery. It is a production facility. We stopped by last year to check it out because I really enjoy the Carmel Road Pinot Noir. I was met by the security guard and then someone from the reception staff. They were both great and super friendly. They explained the situation and even lamented that they did not have a bottle of wine they could share with me. Got a few cool pics and headed out. So save yourself a trip and buy Carmel Road wines at Safeway. Cheers.“
