“The food was wonderful. We had over 10 dishes and would recommend all of them. The szechuan beef, house fried rice, garlic sauce shrimp, hot and sour soup, black bean sauce squid, orange chicken, lemon chicken, broccoli beef, mongolian chicken and the fried wontons were all spectacular. The bean paste sesame balls were awesome. Will be returning soon.”

“Parking is terrible ! Very limited, it’s a fruit market with meat and cold cuts in the back idk if a taqueria .. they sell fruit the price is okay decent some things a little overpriced but everything everywhere is over priced now a days”

“I ordered the Beef bowl and it was fantastic. Plenty of tender grilled beef along a couple veggies and yummy rice. For 12$ it’s a great deal and tasty to boot.”

“I’ve visited this winery many times and will continue to go back. They have a wide range of pinot noir and they waive your tasting fee with bottle purchase. There is also a tasting room in downtown Carmel, but going out to the winery adds something special, we usually head there when we have visitors from out of town. No reservation needed.”

“Absolutely amazing Birria burrito. The sauce was very flavorful and the rice was really good. Wish there were more things that came in it, but overall amazing and the person who runs the truck is really welcoming and nice. The food did take a bit longer than expected, but it was worth the wait. Also, there is lots of wind in this area, so just a warning it will be windy outside.”

“Hands down, one of my absolute favorite things here is the Torta de Pierna. Growing up, whenever I went to Mexico, there was a lady who sold tortas right out of her house. The ones here taste almost identical to hers—nostalgic, delicious, and as you can see in the photo, the cross-section looks incredible. The bread she uses for all her tortas (the Torta de Milanesa is another huge favorite) has the absolute best texture.
​My dad is super picky about Menudo, but this is one of the very few places he actually approves of because most spots don't cook the meat right. A few highlights that make their menudo top-tier:
​House-Ground Black Chilis: The owner blends and grinds these himself. It adds insane flavor to the caldo, but go easy on it because it packs some real heat!
​Homegrown Lemons: He literally grows the lemons in the back, and they are super fresh and juicy.
​Handmade Tortillas: Made fresh, which makes all the difference with the broth.
​A couple of minor things to keep in mind:
​Seating: Space is pretty limited inside. If you can, grab the spot right to the right when you walk in—the sun hits it just right and it's the best seat in the house.
​Prep details: You might have to pick a few stems out of the oregano and trim a tiny bit of pellejo off the menudo meat, but honestly, it’s not a big deal at all given the quality.
​Pan Dulce: The bread is solid, though the selection is a bit limited compared to larger bakeries.”

“I enjoy wine and I love wines from Zabala Vineyards. I had several bottles of wines from this vineyard with my family over the holidays this year, both Pinot Noir and Rieslings. What compelled me to write a review was that remarkably, this was the first and only time that everyone.....and I do mean every single member of my family that was there for the holidays, including in-laws....everyone in my family loved the wine. It was really a great holiday moment in retrospect and one that I won't soon, or ever, forget. At first only about half of us were even drinking, I let it be known that I loved the wine but I have eclectic tastes so my family doesn't always take my advice on food and drink. Slowly at first, I could tell that something was happening throughout the house. People were talking about the wine and one by one each person that had initially declined a glass decided to try it out. We had 4 bottles from Zabala and each of us had our favorite but everyone agreed that it was fantastic. It was like one of those magical moments right out of a sappy holiday movie. Some of my family like wine and will always try one out and some took my recommendation right away and had a glass but my favorite of all were the few that, at first, politely declined. Each had the same look on their face as if they wanted to keep the mood light and joyous but also didn't trust my opinion and wouldn't have a glass no matter how good I said it was. Before the end of the night every one of them had tried a glass and all of them had the same reaction, their eyes perked up, the corners on their mouths raised, and each said, "Oh wow! that really is good (or great, fantastic, tasty, etc.)" but each of them really loved it. It is here in 2018 that a York family tradition was born and while I don't know where we'll buy a turkey or what bakery we'll use next year I know exactly where to get our wine for next Christmas......and Thanksgiving.”

“We made a pit stop here to get lunch on the drive back. Service was fast and friendly, and we ordered a few tacos to go. No pictures because we started eating right away 😂 it was just good, simple and fresh tacos. The tortillas were really soft but also crisped on the grill. It’s nice that it’s inside a grocery store so you can grab water or any other extras needed for the car ride.”

“This is a particularly good Panda Express when you need a quick downmarket way to satisfy your craving for Chinese. New, spotless -- inside & out. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Insisted on making fresh stir-fried vegetables and other dishes because they did not meet their standards of freshness. I was starving so I didn't really care either way. But when I tasted how good the and garlicky the vegetables were, I realized they were right and I was glad they took the initiative.”

“I haven’t had truly delicious pizza like the pizza at Gabilan in soledad in a LONG time. I had pepperoni, hawaiian, and their chicken salad. We went from a recommendation of a local and now I will be comparing all pizza to this place. The pizza ‘bar’ is Gabilan Pizza.
