“Had a asada super burrito and 4 carne asada tacos. Both are amazing! Super fresh, large portions. Fresh tortillas made on the spot. It’s in a grocery store so seating is limited as seen in other reviews, but don’t let that deter you from missing out on the great food! Highly recommend!”

“Is stopped here after leaving Pinnacles NP because it was the best rated restaurant in Soledad. 100% happy- I just ate the best asada fries of my life! The owner is great, very friendly, and the location next to a park is great if you want to just walk over and eat on a picnic table. Recommend highly”

“Food tastes pretty good and portions are very large. Has decent vegan / vegetarian options across noodles, fried rice, and tofu, vegetable dishes. Also has some vegan / vegetarian sushi options.
Some annoying things like not offering any tap water and charging for water bottles.
Atmosphere is pretty barebones, both within restaurant and in the overall building it’s located within.”
“What a fabulous find! We’re so glad we discovered the tasting rooms along River Road below the Santa Lucia Highlands vineyards. Wrath is a dog friendly Monterey winery with outdoor seating on a patio overlooking a pond and gardens with views is the highlands to the west. It was so relaxing, and they serve food too—charcuterie board to pair with the wines. The Falanghina, sparkling wines and pinot noirs were our favorites. If you’re looking for things to do just one hour from San Jose, visit the Monterey wineries on River Road in Salinas Valley. It’s way more chill and affordable than Napa.”

“I enjoy wine and I love wines from Zabala Vineyards. I had several bottles of wines from this vineyard with my family over the holidays this year, both Pinot Noir and Rieslings. What compelled me to write a review was that remarkably, this was the first and only time that everyone.....and I do mean every single member of my family that was there for the holidays, including in-laws....everyone in my family loved the wine. It was really a great holiday moment in retrospect and one that I won't soon, or ever, forget. At first only about half of us were even drinking, I let it be known that I loved the wine but I have eclectic tastes so my family doesn't always take my advice on food and drink. Slowly at first, I could tell that something was happening throughout the house. People were talking about the wine and one by one each person that had initially declined a glass decided to try it out. We had 4 bottles from Zabala and each of us had our favorite but everyone agreed that it was fantastic. It was like one of those magical moments right out of a sappy holiday movie. Some of my family like wine and will always try one out and some took my recommendation right away and had a glass but my favorite of all were the few that, at first, politely declined. Each had the same look on their face as if they wanted to keep the mood light and joyous but also didn't trust my opinion and wouldn't have a glass no matter how good I said it was. Before the end of the night every one of them had tried a glass and all of them had the same reaction, their eyes perked up, the corners on their mouths raised, and each said, "Oh wow! that really is good (or great, fantastic, tasty, etc.)" but each of them really loved it. It is here in 2018 that a York family tradition was born and while I don't know where we'll buy a turkey or what bakery we'll use next year I know exactly where to get our wine for next Christmas......and Thanksgiving.”

“I teach at a nearby prison where it’s “Bring your own lunch” day every day. I saw signs advertising a Subway open at 5 AM so I gave them a try. I ordered a foot long to be ready at 6:40, and it was. It was wrapped as two different 6-inch subs, which was very thoughtful. Also, when I opened it the ingredients were put on with great care. The sandwich was delicious. I may do this more often in the near future.”
“I like this spot. It reminds me of being a kid and going to a pizza place on Friday’s. It’s kinda neat they have regular pizza place food and also chips and other snacks not every place has like lumpia etc.”

“If you're on the hunt for authentic and flavorful Mexican cuisine, Palmas is a must-visit. I recently had the pleasure of trying their chicharrón en chile rojo, and it was nothing short of exceptional. The dish brought the perfect balance of spice and flavor—just enough heat to make your taste buds dance without overwhelming them. Every bite was rich and satisfying, showcasing the depth of their traditional red chili sauce.
What truly elevated the experience were the handmade flour and corn tortillas. Fresh, warm, and slightly charred, they were the ideal accompaniment to soak up every bit of that delicious sauce. Handmade tortillas are always a win in my book, and Palmas nailed them.
The welcoming atmosphere and dedication to authentic flavors make this spot a standout. If you're a fan of Mexican cuisine with a spicy kick, don't miss out on Palmas' chicharrón en chile rojo. It’s a dish worth savoring.”

“Traveling through town and we were helped by Zavier. He was very busy with calls and other guests, and still immediately made a point to greet and welcome us the moment we came in. His presence really sets a positive mood in the restaurant!
The food was just as great. You should come visit!”

“The food was wonderful. We had over 10 dishes and would recommend all of them. The szechuan beef, house fried rice, garlic sauce shrimp, hot and sour soup, black bean sauce squid, orange chicken, lemon chicken, broccoli beef, mongolian chicken and the fried wontons were all spectacular. The bean paste sesame balls were awesome. Will be returning soon.”
