We called in on our way back from Pinnacles National Park and tried the quesadillas, which were delightful, though the camarones à la diabla really stole the show. All fresh and spicy, served with spot on beans and salad. The local town is very welcoming, and the service was relaxed. They also offer a good range of Mexican lemonades.”

“We were redirected to the 101 due to the shutdown of the PCH and stopped for lunch in Gonzales, a very unlikely place for tourists to err... So we ended up in La Plaza bakery for a lunch made of perfectly executed burritos, tacos and tortas, a very helpful staff, delicious bakeries as dessert, all for a very reasonable price, which is always a good suprise in the usually overpriced state of CA. Well done La Plaza and keep up the great work!”

“GREAT FLAVORS
We came once before about a year ago while driving through on a road trip, and we liked it enough to come back and still really enjoyed it. I had the chicken mole and the mole sauce was really good, not too sweet like so many others. The chicken was tender and falling off the bone. My husband got a pastor super burrito and the meat was cooked and good quality (I hate dried out or overly fatty pastor).”

Kid-friendliness: The employees are very kind. They were very patient when I let my son order for the first time.

Wheelchair accessibility: I’m handicap but it was no problem getting into the restaurant as there is accessible ramps.”

“It was good until a car chased by CHP lost control and hit the restaurant and everybody had to get out. Luckily the car hit a big transformer box and it stop the car from coming through the restaurant. Minimal damage...We didn't finish our food. We just left”

“The food was wonderful. We had over 10 dishes and would recommend all of them. The szechuan beef, house fried rice, garlic sauce shrimp, hot and sour soup, black bean sauce squid, orange chicken, lemon chicken, broccoli beef, mongolian chicken and the fried wontons were all spectacular. The bean paste sesame balls were awesome. Will be returning soon.”

“Had a asada super burrito and 4 carne asada tacos. Both are amazing! Super fresh, large portions. Fresh tortillas made on the spot. It’s in a grocery store so seating is limited as seen in other reviews, but don’t let that deter you from missing out on the great food! Highly recommend!”

“What a fabulous find! We’re so glad we discovered the tasting rooms along River Road below the Santa Lucia Highlands vineyards. Wrath is a dog friendly Monterey winery with outdoor seating on a patio overlooking a pond and gardens with views is the highlands to the west. It was so relaxing, and they serve food too—charcuterie board to pair with the wines. The Falanghina, sparkling wines and pinot noirs were our favorites. If you’re looking for things to do just one hour from San Jose, visit the Monterey wineries on River Road in Salinas Valley. It’s way more chill and affordable than Napa.”
