“Enjoyed our service and food so much as we gathered together for a funeral ... Thank u for the warm reception and good food .Been out of state for 8 years... And you are just as amazing as I remember....”
“1/13/24 I have been coming here for 5 + years Ordered Pime Rib medium well, just slightly pink for the third time, and the experience was the same. A plane tasting piece of meat, and a little on the dry side. I seriously do not recommend it. Go to a specialty steakhouse where they know how to prepare it.Service is good overall but sometimes lacking on details, that falls on management, the servers do try their best.Understand my experience, it's a high-end restaurant, and pricy. If you are a serious meat eater, I recommend the Rib eye.Parking: There parking lot is very small and tight. There is the street or across the street, a much larger parking lot.”

Patria
“Very high quality food and service for Salinas. What a surprise to walk into! A polished European getaway in Old Town! The bar, tables and booths are very well done. Although we didn't have cocktails on this outing, the bar looked very well-stocked to make some very high quality drinks. Patria has a wonderful menu with many options. The salads are absolutely top notch, and the butter lettuce salad tastes like the lettuce was literally just picked before being tossed into a perfect vinaigrette. Schnitzel isn't easy to find, and never done this well. So many good offerings here. The service was excellent, and the server was well-spoken, super polite and knowledgeable. We would definitely come back!”
“Small family owned winery. Absolutely best sparkling wine you can get, hands down. The winery is cute and pleasant, great place to enjoy the sun with a nice glass. But what really makes it is the staff and owner. Genuine, caring, good people. There's nothing to not like. Don't question it, just go.”
“I've came here numerous times and this establishment has never failed me. The service is quick and the food comes out packing a lot of flavor. I really like to come to El Rodeo. I just have to try to get myself up early enough to try out their breakfast. The space is very nice and clean. They also have a plethora of drinks to choose from. As well as snacks in case you may want something later. This establishment has made me a loyal customer.”
Restaurants by Cuisine
“The most amazing Chinese food I have ever had!!! Amazing food, service, environment. Very clean and kind people who care about what they serve. Will be my first choice for the rest of my life.”
“As an Italian, like all Italians who are typically very demanding with food, I can say that here you can find excellent dishes, with typical original recipes, without the classic "slip into American style", which most Italian restaurants in America have. The staff is very kind, thoughtful and available for suggestions, helping you with the choice of food.Absolutely recommended, if you want to try real Italian cuisine, with original products.”
“Haven't Been Here In A While..!! Gonna Get Our Grub On..!! I Ordered Santa Barbara Char Burger And Limeade To Wash It Down. My Fiancée Ordered The Regular Char Burger Combo. Good Food From My Hometown County.”
Restaurants with Delivery
“Best (Gobernador) Shrimp Tacos EVER!!!Abundant and super fresh shrimp cooked to the exact perfect second, delivered perfectly warm, crammed into fresh homemade crispy soft tortillas, topped with fluffy homemade guac, sautéed sweet onions and peppers with oozy soft melted cheese. Absolutely mind-blowing delicious! It will be an almost impossible challenge to order anything else when I eat here next time, but the menu all looks so tempting, too. Service is wonderful, prices v reasonable, lovely ambiance and they are open all afternoon. What a FIND!!! ¡Muchas Gracias!”
“Great place for sushi! Very wide variety of Japanese food and drinks. A lot of different candies and drinks you can only find at Sushi Hut. Fast service.Parking: Plenty of parking!Wheelchair accessibility: Easily accessible”
“My son and I get a variety pack weekly. We love that they always have something new. Cookies are always fresh, facility is clean, and staff is friendly. This is easily my favorite spot for a sweet treat!”
“Nestled in Prunedale, the Country Kitchen offers a cozy, homey atmosphere and classic American diner fare made with quality ingredients. The menu features hearty breakfasts, juicy burgers, and satisfying entrees. What really stands out is the attentive, friendly service from a staff that goes out of their way to make customers feel at home, whether you're a regular or first-time visitor. The classic diner decor completes the small-town vibe. For comfort food and warm hospitality, the Country Kitchen is a wonderful example of the kind of community-focused restaurant that gives Prunedale its unique charm. It's a spot worth visiting for a taste of home cooking.”
“Wish they were in a higher traffic area so they could get the business they deserve. That would make it easier to flex their hours more. Perfectly cooked steak as requested, medium-rare. All meat choices are awesome. Perfect Comfort Food. ????”
“The smoked Manhattan was so good, the wine list is small but very reasonable for some nice wines portions also great and the food was perfectCalzone like my gramma madeKid-friendliness: Our teen loved his food”
“First time here , I tried the raw fresh Beetmine and the Bunnybrew . I must say the juices were so fresh and tasty. I’ve tried multiple juice spots and this one is by far now my favorite . Definitely will be back and the prices are reasonable and worth it.”
“My friend John recommend the place. At first I was hesitant but after trying, I'm glad I went. Owners are wonderful, Boba is great and I plan to come back ?”
“This is a very popular spot for the Hispanic crowd. Everything is made from scratch. The tortillas are fabulously fresh. This is the only place I have ever seen chili relleno burritos, oh so good! They only make 50 per day and they are usually gone by 1 pm. Long lines are common at lunch time, but with several servers behind the counter the line moves fast. You choose your items while you watch them being out together. There is no indoor seating.”
“Tried it out for the first time. They’ve only been open a week. I did a test order the thin crust and thick. Had Two different types of pizza and chicken wings. The chicken wings were great. They were moist and the sweet chili sauce was finger licking Good (sorry, KFC). Both the pizzas were really great. Everybody in the house. Love them. Finally found a good pizza place in Salinas. There are a lot of pizza places most of them really suck. I presume that it was the owners working the counter, and he was a really nice man. We will be going back.. I’m also going to contact him and let him know how great this was please support local businesses. This is not a chain. This is community people and let’s support our community.”

“Noodle House is one of my favorite spots in Salinas. We have been coming here since 2011, when we first moved to the area. Their pho is among the best I've had, and I never get anything else. The service is great; everyone is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!”

“Authentic and British to the core, these folks have great food, wonderful quality, fast service and fantastic attitude. They provide awesome catering services, too. Always delicious baked goods and a sunny disposition from the owners and staff - order ahead - everything they make is popular. 5-stars all the way!”
“As a southerner l've tried many BBQ places all theway from Florida, Missouri and all in between and Ihave just discovered the best BBQ place is actuallylocated in Salinas, California! Who would havethought?! I highly recommend this place for anyonelooking for some authentic BBQ. They haveWonderful customer service, quint and homeyvibes as you walk in. It felt like walking into afriend's BBQ as we felt so welcomed the very firsttime that we have now been to Salina's City BBQ 3times in the last week, and one of those timesbeing breakfast. Give this place a try and you won'tbe disappointed! Until next time, Thank you Salinascity BBQ.”
“Have never eaten inside restaurant. Purchased funds raiser tickets so have only done pickup. Great customer service, friendly staff, efficient, orders are always correct and ready to go. Waiting area for pickup is small but but doable, quiet. Food is always very tasty.”

Villa Azteca
“Villa Azteca was delicious. There was no wait on a Saturday afternoon for a party of 2. We ordered the carnitas enchiladas, mole Amarillo, and arroz con leche for dessert. Everything tasted great, the carnitas were really tasty and had some meat cooked on the crunchier side just how I like it. The steak on the mole Amarillo was requested “well done” so it was also on the crunchier side as well, next time we’ll order medium well. The arroz con leche hit the spot for that sweet tooth. I gave 4 stars because they charged $1.99 for chips and salsa, something they should have been transparent about when they bring them to the table.”
Outdoor Dining
“Great sandwiches, excellent food and service. Fast. Place was packed, yet I didn't wait long for my soup and sandwich. Always been a great place for lunch.Parking: Parking can be tight at lunch but many people are picking up & getting on the road. So sometimes you just have to be patient.”
“The food was not necessarily to our taste. BUT that's more a matter of preference and not quality. They had a bunch of keto and vegan and vegetarian options overall a good choice if you have dietary restrictions or adhere to a specific dietary ”
“Absolutely the go to place for local breakfast with home style grinds and a comfortable atmosphere. Definitely a breakfast must when downtown Salinas...Kid-friendliness: French fries!!!Wheelchair accessibility: ?”
“Consistently one of the best places for breakfast in this area. Usually busy, parking is always a problem, but it's well worth it. My go-to is the huevos rancheros with chile verde and it's the stuff I dream of. It's not always on the menu, unless it's the weekend. Tortilla with a slather of beans and cheese and another tortilla on top. Pour on the delicious pork chili verde, add your eggs and a sprinkle of cotija and cilantro. Delicious! My husband loves the chicken fried steak, and theirs is the best locally. Their gravy tastes homemade and the steak is seasoned and cooked perfectly. I would add photos, but food is usually devoured so quickly after arriving that there's no time. Staff is friendly and does a good job. The same people have been there for a long time, so they must treat their staff well. Appreciate this place and highly recommend.”
“The variety of food and drinks, the atmosphere, the staff are all the best and has helped my husband and I to get back to a healthy diet and we have made a commitment to eat a healthy meal at your place once a week. I feel so great after eating a big mixed salad instead of junk food.”
“This restaurant has some delicious Mexican dishes. The carne asada was so tender and flavorful. This dish also I had a cheese enchilada, beef flauta, beans and rice. The staff was very friendly and patient.”
“Stephanie was awesome she remembered us from previous visits and was very respectful to my2 Autistic kids. Made conversation with them and made us feel special. Thank you to our server ”
“Customer service fn great!!!! I gave it 4 stars due to its small capacity, but overall food is the best and tasty, very authentic Mexican food. Will keep coming back and forth lol...Vegetarian options: Rice and beans, pico de gallo or salsa, as well as a basic regular salad. Chips, too!!Kid-friendliness: It is family-friendly, but if you got them little ones who can't sit still and are loud, then my recommendation is eating outside due to its tight capacity inside as well as respect for others who are trying to enjoy a family friendly meal without the distraction.Parking: Parking is a bit hard to find, but there is a parking garage down the street from the restaurant. About a few minutes away, walking distanceWheelchair accessibility: WC accessibility outside due to its small restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Not a vegetarian restaurant, but there are rice and beans as well as a regular salad.”
“DO go out of your way to come here! It's incredible coffee! Datapoint: I HATE Starbucks as I had time in Seattle to taste real artisan coffee.PRO:- Oaxcan Coffee was beyond good. Great depth of flavor.CON:- A bit out of the way, not main street.SUMMARY:If you're anywhere in Salinas, come here right now!”
“I've came here numerous times and this establishment has never failed me. The service is quick and the food comes out packing a lot of flavor. I really like to come to El Rodeo. “When we walked in, we were having a bad day, but Ruben was so amazing and give us such fun and kind service that he cheered us right up! And the drinks are delicious”
“The food was really great. Their macaroni salad is to die for. I highly recommend going to this restaurant.Kid-friendliness: They have a high chair ready for infants and toddlers.”
“Food is always consistent here, tastes great, and feels healthier than the other burger options. During the busy times, the drive thru does go out into the street though, and the parking is quite full.”
“Haven't Been Here In A While..!! Gonna Get Our Grub On..!! I Ordered Santa Barbara Char Burger And Limeade To Wash It Down. My Fiancée Ordered The Regular Char Burger Combo. Good Food From My Hometown County.”
“Important to note - this is primarily a take out place. They have enough space for maybe 12 people at most. You have to go to the counter to place your order and pay for it. Then they’ll serve your food if you’re lucky enough to get a table.Food is decent overall but avoid pad see ew. They obviously don’t know how to cook it.”
“Done well: - Blue Zones menu available, vegan/vegetarian options available. - The Al Pastor Tofu Tacos and Potato Tacos are delicious! - Decor/ambiance is always pleasant and clean. They even decorate for holidays. - Employees are friendly. - Prices are fair. Needs Improvement: - Service can be slow, even when not busy. - Vegetarian/vegan dishes tend to be not as filling. - The salsa served with chips was lackluster and tasted off.”

Leal Bakery
“Love this hole in the wall! Owners are prepared for busy holidays! They keep different size bags of already prepared masa for tamales so you walk in, grab size of masa you need & are quick to check you out!”

Kokoro Sushi
“This place is always packed and for a very good reason! The sushi here is pretty great. I would recommend the spicy garlic edamame: although it will leave you wishing for some mints jajja it’s 100% worth it. My group always orders two. It’s that good. I also like their deep fried rolls. I believe the one I pictured below is the Las Vegas one. They are pretty busy so just be mindful. Great place and centrally located to the “night life” of Salinas so my friends and I were able to grab a drink a street over after we had dinner here.”

“Excellent food, great prices and superior customer service. The Chiles rellenos, quesabirria tacos and breakfast plates are amazing.Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available”
“I'm not from Salinas. So it's not fair to rank or rate this restaurant to others nearby. But I'd say it was quintessential and has an authentic style for California Mexican restaurant. How can you go wrong with local, small business?First time eating a pickled carrot. Tasty, tart and a hint of spice. The four Tacos #1 was amazing.AMAZINGIt's off a main road so easy access but also traffic noise.Parking: Plenty of parking for the size of the restaurant.Kid-friendliness: Kids like food too, you know? Feed themWheelchair accessibility: Access.”
“Great Place to have Breakfast or Lunch. The staff is super nice and the food is really good. Some of my favorites are the Carnitas Tacos, Cali Burrito, Pancakes and Breakfast combos. Highly recommend!”
“Excellent family owned business, great drinks very creative and makes great for a private event! We had them at our open house, the guests loved how fun and welcoming it was, creates a great place to gather over coffee! Give Brewjee a try, book them for your next event you won’t regret it!”
“I had the chilaquiles (green) and they were super good, not too spicy. Our server was really attentive and kind. The amount of time it took for them to bring out the food was SO QUICK. Will be trying more of their food again soon.”
“Delicious food, they are very welcoming, if there is something wrong with the order they don’t hesitate to fix it. We come here often. I usually order a quesabirria or quesadilla. My daughter loves the sopes and tacos. My husband likes their asada burrito. I’ve had many of their plates and they’re all good. They also have Taco Tuesday. My dad’s favorite. Their food trucks are also good. One thing I do recommend is that they make more aguas frescas since they run out quick every time I go to the restaurant they’re out.Kid-friendliness: They like having my toddler over. Always talking to her.”
“best food ever, loved the service, everyone was super nice. very traditional! I got the pozole and it tasted just like my abuelas. Better than most Mexican restaurants in the area.”
“All I know is you need to come try this place out! I got the shrimp Encabronadas and wow it's flavorful and definitely Spicy I also mixed in their serrano salsa (which made it x2 ). Their botana with shrimp and octopus was eh because it's just normal not any seasoning besides what you want to throw in there but el Kora has a few delicious things and this was my first time there and yes I will be back. They're shrimp empanada has great flavor too and their fish taco is really good. The server I had was attentive and really nice I had no problems at all . I'll be back to try out more of their menu you can count on that !”
“Tasty and satisfying! Was recommended the beef brisket and that's what I recommended for you lolQuick, friendly service. Will be coming back for sure! Also, I ordered the pot stickers, super yummy!Thank you!Kid-friendliness: Kids menu has 3 choices”
“The food is delicious, but be aware! The veggie burrito is absolutely full of mushrooms. I didn't expect it, and have a terrible allergy to them. Mushrooms aren't listed on the ingredients, so having eaten 2 bites thinking it was sautéed peppers was very disappointing. Learned an important lesson. Now to find something I can eat there.”
“Bro if y’all designated one TV to reality tv(bravo, E network, etc) y’all would bring in a wider clientele. Not every person on the planet watches sports. I would stay longer and spend way more money if I didn’t have to watch sports. I actually run out as fast as I can when sports are on the tv.”
“So I’m not the type to write reviews but my daughter niece and myself just had dinner here and as always food was great but our attendant Justice took It to the next level if you get served by her you’ll be surprised !!! She made sure were had everything we needed so helpful of her and she was super kind at all times this place is so lucky to have her here !!”
“Fujiyama is great spot to dine at if you're looking to go out with the family. From the moment we stepped through the door, the attentive and accommodating staff made us feel right at home. The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the captivating show put on during the cooking process. The anime-themed presentation, particularly the homage to Naruto when lighting the onion on fire, was a hit with both kids and adults alike. The chefs ensured active participation from the customers throughout, adding to the interactive and immersive experience. As for the food, it surpassed all expectations. Each dish was bursting with flavor, leaving us completely satisfied by the end of our meal. The portion sizes were generous, ensuring that even the heartiest appetites were thoroughly satiated. If you find yourself in Salinas, I highly recommend making a stop at Fujiyama.”
“We were helped by Kenzie and she was awesome. Interacted well with us and my son. She listened and participated in our corny jokes and the food was on time. Over all she made us feel welcome ? Thank you for the hospitality”
“Awesome winery they have great Pinot Noir and Cabernet they allow you to bring your picnic lunch and sit outside on the benches and enjoy a bottle of wine and your lunch. Great staff very knowledgeable, friendly.”

King's Den
“Been coming here for the past 15+ years. Best dive bar to decompress right after work. It can get crowded at times when there is an event in town, so I tend to stay away during those times. But overall, great place fun place especially during karaoke nights.”
“Couple porta potties with adequate hand washing available. Check in is easy. Wait time was good for fcfs they were having a smooth day by the time we got there maybe an hour wait? Half hour-1 hr load time for 15 pallets. Door dash driver found us easily also ?”
24 Hour Restaurants
“Had breakfast. Was pretty busy at the time we arrived, but were seated quickly. Staff was nice for being quite busy. Seemed like they were handling it well. Still smiled. Didn't take long for food to be delivered to our table. My only minor issue was table was still wet from cleaning when we sat down, would've been nice if they dried it off at least. But was understandable with how busy they were.”
“Very good food, has a "home cooked" flavor to it. I would describe this truly authentic as opposed to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Definitely worth a try.”
“I tried going today at 130pm on 03/07/24 and the whole gas station was closed off with caution tape over all the doors and driveways. I've loved coming to this location since its opening.”
“This place has great pan prices are reasonable and staff is very nice. They have specialty cakes for special occasions. They have great tamales, tortas, and burritos. My family and coworkers love when I bring fresh baked treats there way. PAN AND COFFEE WILL PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACE!”
“I am having a love-hate relationship with Jack in the box right now. I love their deep fried tacos, but lately it seems that they have stopped putting the slice of cheese in the taco. and if it doesn't have the slice of cheese, it's just not worth eating. It only happens occasionally it's not something I can fully complain about until it's happening consistently. I'm trying to give them the benefit of the doubt. hopefully they come through for me.”
“Best place to go eat on a low budget and good fast mexican food.Mexican Pizza- family favorite, try it!Vegetarian options: They have vegeterian options for vegans or like myself that enjoys the vegan menu during lentsKid-friendliness: Kids love the food and have high chairs.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes my dad would fit with his mobile rascal which is an electric wheel chair basically.”
“Very good place to eatParking: Parking is located in front of the premises and in the surrounding area.Kid-friendliness: You will find very good food options for children ?Wheelchair accessibility: It is very good and available to use”
“Could smell the French toast sticks from afar. So I ventured over for some breakfast.Tough town.Need a key for the bathroom and can only spend 30 minutes to eat your food before you have to leave. But staff was friendly, quick with service and got to like that.”
“975 N Main St, Salinas, in Sherwood Gardens, is now my favorite Jack in the Box. Jack in the Box became my favorite fast food hamburger when they started using the more substantial split-top hamburger bun.By using the Jack in the Box app, every day in December until Christmas they give the "24 days of Jackmas" offers, with a minimum $1 purchase. Each day they've given different free offers: Bonus Jack, Large Curly Fries, Large Fountain Drink, Oreo Milkshake, Onion Rings, Jumbo Egg Roll.By using their mobile app I can buy 2 tacos for $0.99. Adding the extra cheese for $0.20 makes an order over a dollar qualifying for the free Jackmas offers. I also get the extra lettuce for free. This newer Jack in the Box's dining room is nice and clean and the parking lot is larger and well lit. This morning, my Jackmas offer gave me a free breakfast Jack with my two tacos. The manager, Veronica, greeted me today by name!Parking: The parking lot is well lit.”
“I've always loved Jack in the Box. Their burgers are really good. Every time I go to this brach, they always serve me newly cooked French fries, and their draft coke is one of my favorites.”
“The Gem spot for any Vacationer visiting the Monterey area that craves a quality Burger and Garlic fry without all the hype. We first stumbled across Dubbers by accident in 2018 . We have had Garlic fries at other places and these easily ranked as the best we’ve had and their Burgers had so much flavor we asked to shake the Cooks hand . After leaving we thought it had to be a fluke and when we came back in 2023 we were happy to be proven wrong . Worth the drive and we will always be sure to make the detour when we are in the area . Polite employees usually has a decent crowd but not too loud inside and nice seating outside if you like to look at the older buildings of The old Downtown Salinas Thanks again Dubbers looking forward to coming back and Thank you for being the Sleeper of Salinas !”
“We come here on a regular basis, and the food is good barbecue delicious salads are huge wine and atmosphere is really nice. Services is great .We recently had dinner, and apparently Santa Claus paid for our whole bill! We didn’t know who or where Santa was but we definitely love this place .This is one of the best places in Prunedale.”

“I got the large size. Finally I found a place where they ACTUALLY blend their açaí part. It's not "pre-made". The açaí part was THICK and smooth, even smooth and thick the next day in the freezer, just let it thaw about 30mins. good to go!”
Takeout Restaurants
“Lovely cozy little place with plenty of Steinbeck memorabilia to peruse through. The servers are all very kind (all volunteers!) My chicken wrap was yummy and the veggie broth and bread rolls were definitely homemade and delicious. It was definitely worth the lunch stop. Keep in mind they close at 2pm so arrive before 2.”
“Today I walked into a little hole on the wall to come support small businesses. Atmosphere was great great customer service. So far not disappointed. These hot dogs are amazing. Fries were fresh and crunchy. Great place to stop after hours. It a quick bite and come help support our locals. Thank Cali glizzy you will see me more oftenThank you”
“Everything and I mean everything looks amazing! And it taste equally as good. I recently purchased my birthday cake here. It was a chocolate ganache and raspberry cake (~$35) and my family absolutely devoured it! Nothing was left. This place is also cash only so just something to keep in mind before going.”
“Went here today for the first time. I ordered the carnitas burrito and it was delicious! I was surprised to see they sold Turkish treats. I bought an order of Turkish delights and the owner even included an extra piece. Very great service. You can tell the owner really cares about his customers and the quality of his food. Great flavors! Will definitely come again!! :)”
“You know those places you feel at home? This is one for me. Hospitable, friendly, welcoming service. Food was yummy, fast and furious! I got Tlacoyos.. I came years ago and had to return. Food is fresh. The menu has great options even for Vegans. The masa de mais taste fresh too. Oaxaca is different from regular Mexican food. The space is on point! Yo, it’s righteously priced too! Even my dog enjoyed the outdoor sitting with me. Did I mention they’re bilingual? So they speak the Spanglish. All good in this neighborhood. Don’t be scared the people say hi ?? - smile life is ? good.”
“I made a quick trip this weekend to my hometown of Salinas for a cousin's funeral, and I found this place on Yelp (where else). My brother and I were hungry for breakfast and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with over medium eggs, beans and rice, while my brother ordered the country eggs Benedict (sausage Patty instead of Canadian bacon). The salsa verde on the chilaquiles had just enough bite without being soggy, the tortilla chips were nice and crispy, and the eggs were cooked just right. The beans and rice complimented the meal perfectly. I was going to order the optional carne asada to go on top of the chilaquiles, but honestly, I didn't miss it. The Señora, presumably the proprietor, came by our table three times with a big smile to see how we liked it. No small feat, considering how busy they were. We are very well for $41 plus tip. I will definitely return to this excellent local spot when I am in town.”
“Omg. Had I known that my Cheese Danish was going to be a whole other level of delicious, I would have bought a couple!I was passing through the area and wanted Starbucks (cause it keeps me awake while driving) and I ran in to the little bakery Nextdoor. Everything looked really good but you never really know ..butIt’s REALLY good!I still have an almond croissant and a savory scone which I shall save for tomorrow but if they’re anything like the danish, I’m in for a treat!A gem in a strip mall. ❤️”
“Love this little hidden pink gem located on Park Row in South Salinas near the Bagel Corner. They have great weekly lunch specials two people can share a plate as they serve Large servings. My favorite lunch combo is the noodles with kung pao shrimp. They are also one of the few restaurants open late in the area. Go give it a try!!!”
“the food and drinks are very good . But the service is horrible. One of the waiters Yesenia has a horrible attitude you cannot even ask her a question because she gets irritated and snaps back at you. I recommend having drinks the bartender does an awesome job on making them.”
“This is definitely a hidden gym. My brother and I went to try this place out after our church night service. They were closing down but they still took our order and still had quality customer service. I ordered 4 Birria Tacos and my brother ordered the Quesabirria taco and by far it is the best birria we had. Definitely making this my new spot for tacos and birria.”
“If you’re looking for really good (fancyish) tacos this is the place! Everything is SO good. Fusion is definitely the correct word to describe it. Fresh made corn tortillas, you can’t go wrong. A little expensive but worth it and even more so on discounted Taco Tuesdays. Also REALLY happy to report they use plant fiber to-go boxes!! Huge plus! The wait is pretty quick and it’s settled at a super convenient location in South Salinas. Only wish they were open a little later!”
“Better than Panda Express, the food was delicious and the people so good and helpful , the place was clean and so nice, it was my first time eating there and for me is better than Panda Express”
“Best in town. “No food (although I heard that there are lunch trucks sometimes) no (provided) entertainment, just really good beer and a chill spot to hang out. If you've been to any of their other locations, and appreciate their top-notch beer, this place will give you the feeling that you got a fresh try of their latest productions.”
“Good food been coming here for a whileThey just need to fix there traffic controlA lot of people dont move outta the way an park in the entrance an hold all the traffic ..cant get inside the parking lot. all because people dont wanna get off their car.”
“The short girl with the thin black hair and the girl with dark brown hair with chunky blond highlights were extremly rude. I cant believe they are in customer service. We usually come in and have a nice time but those girls ruined it. Not sure if I will come back if they continue to work there. Its ashame because the food there was great. I loved the salad.”
“I placed my order and the food was brought to my table within 1 minutes, super fast! As always, food was amazing. Customer service was great as well, and the store was clean. 10/10 recommend, especially since it's next to the mall :)Kid-friendliness: Kid indoor play set”
“We got their huarache. We asked if we can add a mixture of two meats and she said of course! So we added chicken and chorizo. It was perfect! The salsas were a hit. They had a variety of spicy to mild. I'm excited to return back and try their walking flautas in a cup!”
“The good is delicious we mostly come eat only after a hike or just on our free time and the food always hits the right way never had a complaint for the past 7monthsParking: I always go with a hand full of freinds each with there own car and we always have parking space for every single one of us no complaints here except the homeless in the area do leave trash or e even there own customers but what can you do with people like that”

“As of 2024, the food tastes pretty good! I have gone to this location a few times, and I would recommend people to go to this particular Burger King instead of the one on North Main Street. The only downside of this restaurant that I can think of is the somewhat funky smell inside the building. It smelled sort of like a bathroom sink. So if you want to get something from this Burger King, consider going through the drive thru, unless you don't mind the funky smell. Good fast-food place nonetheless!”
“Today my family ordered from this Burger King location from Grubhub and I think this Burger King location's employees deserve an award medal for the wonderful food they served us. My parents were very happy with their Whoppers and my hamburger tasted marvelous and my fries were so fresh and I myself was impressed at how fast Grubhub delivered our meal. I think out of all the Burger King locations in Salinas this location is now our favorite Burger King and my family will continue to eat here whenever we can”
“Every time I have visited the Abbott location in Salinas, there wasn't a line, the food was nice and fresh, and the service was exemplary--shout out to cashier, Jesus (Roque) for going above and beyond! You rock, dude!!”
“Amazing! The staff was extremely nice. The dragon ball z roll stood up to it's description. I hadn't had a spicy tuna roll that good! You must also try the cheesecake tempura.”
“Best cheap pizza place in Salinas the quality is excellent better than any name brand pizza place would recommend this place to anyone who loves pizza i suggest trying the combination pizza since it smells and taste just like Costco combination and the Mexican pizza highly recommend it too”
Cheap Eats
“I ordered the Pho Doc Biet and a hot tea, and I’m a very happy boy :) It was as good as my favorite pho in LA/OC. Great broth — clean and flavorful, not too salty, and not sweet. Good meats and tripe. The tendon was especially note worthy and plentiful! As a tea lover I was grateful for the second tea bag, which made for a delicious strong pot of tea.The staff is super friendly. It’s a nice family business. There is a reason this place a dedicated customer base. Apparently they were operating in Gilroy, closed for some time and then reopened in Salinas. It was the jubilation in the reviews about the reopening that got my attention.Thank you for the delicious meal! I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in Salinas.”
“Made with love! This is definitely a go to for me in Salinas. Not my first time going but the first time I’ve felt the NEED to let other people know about a food spot. If you want homemade tortillas, good cuts of meat and awesome service this is the spot! Ps. I’m picky when it comes to taco trucks so if you are too this one won’t disappoint.”
“The peaking duck was so good and it came with these buns made myself a little sandwich with it so good. Really makes you have that "mmmm, so good " moment. Maybe a little happy dance too. Idk definitely would come here again”
“Sometimes they know how to speak Spanish and they don't, I saw it with a person who came to buy, and the person didn't speak English, and I think the majority who work there are Latinos, blessingsParking: Well, it depends on what time you get to eat ?”
“I was looking for a great taco truck but found this place. As a taco lover this place is awesomely authentic and tasty. Get the home made tortillas and burrito. Sasada was bomb!”
“I used to go here many years ago when I lived in the area. It had been a few years since I came here, well the other day I was in the area and thought since I'm close by I think I'll stop and buy some sweet bread. I'm so glad I did. The bread was really really fresh and so so good as it used to be. Honestly it's worth the 10-15 min drive.”
“Barista was friendly, knowledgeable and quick service. My Keto drink( cold brew, heavy cream and Sugar free vanilla) was very good! Barista recommendation! Plus my son had the Carmel Frappe and loved it!Thank you!Dietary restrictions: They have sugar free options”
“It reminds me of the "cheap kitchens" of Mexico. Typical foods that are not of such high quality but are good and cheap. The difference from the cheap kitchens of Mexico is that here they serve very large portions. Several dishes are enough for 2, almost 3, people.”
“DON'T DOORDASH!!!!!!! Doordash is a middle man leech company that does not care about its customers or the businesses they feed off of. When something goes wrong, the customer blames the restaurant instead of the morons that are doordash. Always contact the restaurant directly, and you'll receive much better service!!!!”
“Been coming here for a very long time. Some of the best pizza in town. Every one should try this place you will not be disappointed. The owner here is very nice and friendly.”
“First time visiting this place, and I would highly recommend it. The fish and chips were seasoned and prepared just right! The waitress provided us with great service as well.Kid-friendliness: They have a kids menu and booster seats for kids.”
“I wanted to try something new for lunch! And I never do that, this place was very clean and very welcoming when I walked in. I ordered the 3 chicken enchiladas with rice and beans. It was well cooked very moist. Rice and beans were spot on. 10/10 would recommend.”
“Got shrimp, asada and carnita tacos. Asada is my favourite while my hub like the shrimp ones. Value for money and great pit stop for refuel while in Salinas. Will definitely be back to try other items on the menu.”
“Food was delicious and service was great! I would definitely recommend their tonkatsu ramen since winter season is starting to creep in. Give this place a try if you're in town”
“Excellent papay and mango salad. Pho is good. I recommend the fried chicken wings with the papaya and mango salad. Thai tea is on point, boba is cooked perfectly, with a strong Thai tea flavor, plus they use premium boba cups. Service is excellent, fast and friendly. Ambiance is nice, not fancy, just a good chill and clean place to eat some great food.”
“Very good food, has a "home cooked" flavor to it. I would describe this truly authentic as opposed to other Mexican restaurants in the area. Definitely worth a try.”
“Mountain Mike's Pizza. After the COVID-19, yes im starting out this way, this pizza chain came up as my go to places. A lot. And Round Table, formerly my top choice for franchise pizza restaurants dropped off my list completely. In Salinas i believe there are 3 of these spots. They're all pretty good for there own reasons. This one by N. Davis & Boranda area i like because of their Pizza specifically. The dough, toppings and overall flavor/texture of the pie is awesome. The best of the 3, im my opinion is here, again for the pie.The service has always been good too. I believe they recently renovated the place. Looks good. The staff looks like its cycled around 3 or 4 times. They still treated me very nicely. Its mainly a family oriented location. They've got several big TVs playing sports or sitcoms. They serve soft drinks, beer on tap and an ok salad bar( canned peaches if you like that. I do. Of the 3 this is the only one which i saw this). This one also, i thought, felt pricier but the pie itself is worth it. Not that the other locations were bad. This one has this that stood out, for me.Enjoy.No complaints”

“You need to walk to the back of the store to find the food and juice counter. The lady working (owning?) there was very friendly and gave us perfect, healthy drinks after a long day of junk food infused driving.”
“The food is so so DELICIOUS the chefs truly deserve a raise. Also all the services are super nice, every time one of my friends wants to grab a bite to eat we always go here.”

“It was my first time at Arigato and man these rolls were?, I've been trying to find a new sushi spot since ikebana closed and I think I found it. Also the portion size of the rolls are bigger than most places they're not 1 bite rolls forsure and I take big bites. I highly recommend this place.”

Gino's
“I've been here a couple times and I'm glad I found them. I think I saw them on a youtube video on "must see" places to check out. The first time we came w got the cheesy garlic bread which was very good and they didn't skimp on the cheese. The artichoke soup was amazing. It has a couple pieces of artichoke, cream based broth. I got the linguini and clams. They definitely don't skimp on the clams... you get our monies worth for sure. My mom got the chicken parm and kept having to stop herself from eating it all because she wanted to take some home to make a sandwich later.”
“This place has a refreshingly cool rocken Español vibe with loud latin hip-hop music playing while you enjoy your delicious cocktail. The watermelon margaritas are delicious. I ordered Mexican corn delicious with the spicy edemame was also very, very good, Asada tacos were equally delicious, and Mami salad was cute. It said closes at 9pm, but it was after 10 pm when we left, and people were being seated, so I'm not sure about that. A GREAT place to bring a date, hanging out with the girls or enjoying good friends or family. Yes!”
“After new owners took over the food changed for the better. I had a chance to speak with the new owner, very nice guy and when I am in town I will go eat there again.”
“Want to shout out Oyuki and Tino!! Helped out with an issue and resolved it quick, really appreciate their hardwork!! The times I’ve been here Oyuki has always had a great attitude, food good as always.”
“Food and service was excellent! The only problem was that they haven’t updated the prices in the cart. We got a different price to what we thought it would be.”
“At Chef Lees Mandarin House In Salinas, CA Again. We Always Enjoy Eating Here When We Get A Obsession For Chinese..!!! It's Always Full Of People. “They did not make the pizza right the first time and forgot my ranch dressing, but they made up for it by remaking the pizza and delivering it to me with my ranch. The pizza was excellent and was the best you can get in the city of Salinas, CA. Service was outstanding and they did everything possible to make the customer happy without any complaining. Great job everyone! Thank you!!”
“We’ve had BJ’s cater for us a couple times through DoorDash! They have a pizza/pasta bundle for $45 and it’s is amazing they give you so much food with the salad, the breadsticks, the pizza and a huge pasta. We ordered it last Friday and they went above and beyond to accommodate us with a vegetarian option, since it was lent . The managers/supervisor had such a great attention to detail! We’ve had dinner there a couple times this year already and their food has been delicious! Their new drinks were also really good and you can forget their great pizzocookies!! I’m spelling that one wrong!”
“Like most hotels in this area, it's showing it's age... The rooms are spacious but in need of an face-lift. The lobby area is nothing to write home about, and the backyard is tiny, but still has a firepit... Was OK for a one night stop near Monterey & Carmel, but I wouldn't go back... The staff are quite friendly & helpful though...”

“This place is excellent. I'm African American, and the pride they have for one another is beautiful. The food is great, the service is great and the ? in Spanish is awesome. Everyone can sing. I come here every time I'm in town. I work for South Bay Moving Systems.”
“We ate here on a Sunday And you know buffets on Sundays are packed. Don't let that discourage you tho. The line went down within 10-15 minutes. Food was great & service was lovely. Price was good too!!”
“Great place to eat. The food is above a average, but the Original Casa del Sazón (across from the Quadrangle) has better flavor (must be the extra love and attention the cook gives to the food). The service here is awesome as well as the ambient. I highly recommend the Molcahete (not sure if I spelled it correctly). Great place for large groups, too.”

“Drive thru at 9:45 pm. Two chicken pot pies and 8 piece bucket chicken only. The food was hot fresh out of the oven. Perfect! The pot pie crust was really good. Buttery. Flaky. The filling included big chunks of chicken. Seems to me they improved the recipe and portion. I may be wrong. Either way I was impressed so close to closing with the food and service. Oh. The Chicken breast was moist inside, crunchy outside .... Shouldn't have eaten so late though.”

Crab Bucket
“The Crab Bucket is always a crowd pleaser. Messy, delicious, fun food. Nice staff. They put a roll of paper towels on every table which is great because you're going to need them! The seafood is fresh, and they have choices of seasoning - I like the kawabunga seasoning. Great place for a fun special occasion meal.”

“I had lunch here a couple of times and I really enjoyed it the place was clean, good food and wasn't too bad on prices either. Most of all the atmosphere was relaxed and the service was not too bad as the staff seemed pretty friendly and attentive. They could do better on some of the pricing but just a tad. **** stars and A ?.”
“The food is great, I really like the bbq chicken salad. The staff is always very friendly. I like their outdoor seating best, the bar is also really nice and comfortable.”
“Food comes out fairly quickly but bar service can be a bit chaotic on busy game days. They need more than one bartender. Hard to get the attention of 1 person when theres a bar full. Food is good and their carrots and celery are always tender and crispy and waitresses are pleasant.Parking: Plenty parking gets somewhat full on game days”

“This Mountain Mike's location has great custom services every time I go there. Recently they saved the day. I had to quickly relocate my son's birthday party because of the rainy weather. Every place I called was booked including this location. The manager however, was nice enough to let me have the gathering at their location. I didn't have the party room but he allowed me to reserve 40 seats in the man dining area. We were their for 3 hours without a problem. They had games to keep the children entertained and the pizza is great too.”

“Walking into this Mexican restaurant, you might think you've stumbled into just another American fast-food joint, given its casual decor and unassuming layout. However, the food tells a completely different story—one deeply rooted in the rich culinary traditions of Oaxaca. The dishes are not only delicious but authentically Oaxacan, transporting your taste buds straight to the heart of Southern Mexico with every bite. The atmosphere is vibrant and full of life, echoed by the classic tunes of Ramón Ayala, Los Bukis, Joan Sebastian, and Los Temerarios that fill the air, setting a nostalgic and joyful tone. The patrons, mostly of Latin descent, add to the authentic vibe, engaging in lively conversations and displaying a heartwarming sense of community. Notably touching was observing patrons discussing who would cover the cost for a meal they bought for a homeless man—a testament to the kind-hearted spirit that permeates the place. This restaurant is a hidden gem that deserves to be on the radar of anyone craving genuine Mexican cuisine. It goes beyond just serving food; it serves a slice of Oaxacan culture with a side of compassion and community. Highly recommended for anyone looking to experience true Mexican hospitality and culinary excellence without boarding a plane.”

“My son and I get a variety pack weekly. We love that they always have something new. Cookies are always fresh, facility is clean, and staff is friendly. This is easily my favorite spot for a sweet treat!”
