“This place is amazing, they have the best shawarmas ive ever tried in the us, and ivr lived here for 8 years. Everyone that works there is also incredibly kind. We live in marina about a 20 min drive but we still go there everytime because their food is just amazing. I love the lamb and beef shawarma, but everything ive tried there is delicious”

“Stopped here on the way to Carmel-by-the-sea and OMG!!! They had a mix of beaker goods but also breakfast burritos,tacos and tamales. And i tired the chicken tamales and i was in heaven. So so so good. You need to stop by here and I'll be back.”

“As with another reviewer, a fruit stand lady up the road recommended this place to us. We’d planned on taking our fish tacos to the beach to eat, but it’s a good thing we didn’t. They were so good we had to go back to order more immediately! One negative is that I don’t think the shrimp in the ceviche was cooked. I’d skip that or ask them to grill the shrimp up a bit. I know ceviche is usually raw, but I’ve never seen the shrimp raw before. Could just be me.
In any case, definitely worth a stop!”

Couple that with an amazing service and that it's owned and operated by a navy veteran that prides himself on perfecting his craft and you have the perfect recipe for a fun night for the family! “I stopped by the taqueria inside Santa Fe Foods and was unexpectedly impressed. I ordered three regular carne asada tacos and a large horchata, and the total came out to $16.66, worth every penny.
The carne asada was flavorful and juicy, and the meat-to-tortilla ratio was perfect nothing skimpy here. I’m a big salsa guy, that either makes it or breaks it for me and their salsa definitely made it. The green salsa is full of flavor and the red has the kick.
The horchata looked hand made and was smooth, refreshing, just the right amount of sweet. Overall, a great meal with authentic flavor and generous portions. I left full and satisfied. I’ll be coming back for more real soon”

“Jesus, I think he’s the manager, if not he should be, has always gone above and beyond. He’s always kind and thoughtful especially on one of my hardest day. I was spending the last day with my old dog, & made a stop at BK. Jesus showed compassion by listening to our story and offered my puppy a pup cone, which I didn’t even know you had! He was able to enjoy his last moments with a sweet treat. Thank you for giving us a forever memory 💕”

“The food at the restaurant is delicious. All servers are volunteers and proceeds go towards the maintenance of the house. Super knowledgeable docent led tours as well. I believe the schedule is posted on their website. Merchandise and books downstairs are terrific. There are several Steinbeck related souvenirs to choose from and good book selections!”
