“Probably the best tacos I’ve had yet shell is amazing meat is juicy and flavorful very nice costumer service and cheap prices $23 for 2 people full size meals and drinks is cheap now days would go ”
“Stopping on the way from the Bay area to Big Surr, this place was perfect. My partner needed a place to take a work call, and though it was a bit too loud for that, the atmosphere was awesome. We didn't end up getting any coffee, but I bought a bottle of wine - the shop has it's own in-house sommelier! The food looked great, but can't comment personally on that. My main take away was: cool vibe, lots of purchasing options, fun plants & decor, and cool employees: the barista even commented on the book I was reading, The Pearl! *SPOILER* I will say, the barista did say it was a lighter book for Steinbeck, but a baby gets poisoned in the first 3 pages! What! Anyway, you should go here!”
“If you love Thai cuisine, this is the place to go in Moss Landing. Great place with great food. Try the Thai spring rolls. It’s just awesome with the peanut sauce. We ordered a mixed vegetable soup, pineapple fried rice, and panang veg curry with a small order of white rice. We loved the food. Would love to go again.”
“It's been a long time since I have eaten in Moss Landing.First up a most amazing IPA from Belching Beaver Brewing, if you haven't tried a Phantom Bride, it's about time you did. Then some Fish and Chips. You get a choice of Chips - regular or Cajun. I opted for the Cajun Chips and I was glad I did.”
“We had clam chowder, Fish tacos and fries.3 Fish tacos had a good amount of fresh fish, nicely fried without batter- just the way I prefer it.Partner enjoyed clam chowder but it was too spicy for me. The fries were crunchy on the outside and soft centers.I'd go again”
“Big fan of Phil's Snack Shack (or typically I just call it "Little Phil's"). Best prices and good food from a local lunch favorite. However since the fish market moved the Castroville some of the Snack Recipes have been switched up. I'm definitely a regular and always order the egg salad, and lately it's gone from a really good classic/simple egg salad to having a lot of extra stuff in it (red onions, celery, carrots, pieces of lettuce ??? etc...). I love veggies, but not in my egg salad. I don't order the works specifically for this. If the price of eggs is an issue I'll say something maybe a little controversial but I would rather pay an extra dollar for the old egg salad recipe they were using a 1.5 years ago than pay the same price for the current. I will openly admit this is a very "I'm a regular blah blah blah" kind of thing to ask, but could be we get the old egg salad recipe back on the menu <3?”
“Superb!Everything you could ask for was there and they’re famous fried artichoke cards were to die for! So crispy is so crunchy and so delicious! All of the condiments you could ask for were on the table, plenty of napkins, delicious iced tea! The waitress was so attentive we were gonna ask for baggie to bring some food for our doggies and she anticipates that without us even having to ask. Simply superb!”
“Whst makes Haute Enchilada Cafe special is the atmosphere, it is eclectic and relaxing. Almost every table offers some level of seclusion and privacy provided by the succulents and tropical greenery that has created natural walls or screens. The food is yummy, first time I've had an enchilada topped with mole sauce, different but tasty. The menu offers other Latin dishes with a twist. I highly recommend ordering the haute margarita, enjoy it while taking in the gardens. The service is excellent, on our visit it wad busy but we never had to wait for iur drinks and meals. If you're in the area, it is a bit off the beaten path, but worth the drive.”
“When I walked in from the rain I was greeted warmly, the restaurant was nicely lit, cheerful and clean. The choice of food was amazing. I heard some diners request something not on the menu; ;"No problem, we can do that for you," chirped the server -Sam, the owner. The food came out quickly, it was hot and appetizing. The portions were on the generous side. There is a friendly ambiance to the restaurant - many of the diners seemed to be regulars and had friendly exchanges with the owners/waiters. I've been going here for 13 years, the food has actually gotten even more delicious over time!!! I hope you enjoy your visit to The Eagle!!”
“Every aspect of going where was phenomenal. The food was great (I had the cheesesteak, my friend had the Kong burger). The food was great, it was twice as cheap as everything else in the area, and the service / environment was great. We couldn't manage to bring the food home because we ended up just gorging and eating it on our way back. I'd fully recommend the spot, and I'll try to hit it up on my way through from now on.”
“As always this venue does not disappointGreat food very attentive service and they are ALL volunteers.Chairs are a little hard and many people come for events so it's loud and a bit tight.”
“Best (Gobernador) Shrimp Tacos EVER!!!Abundant and super fresh shrimp cooked to the exact perfect second, delivered perfectly warm, crammed into fresh homemade crispy soft tortillas, topped with fluffy homemade guac, sautéed sweet onions and peppers with oozy soft melted cheese. Absolutely mind-blowing delicious! It will be an almost impossible challenge to order anything else when I eat here next time, but the menu all looks so tempting, too. Service is wonderful, prices v reasonable, lovely ambiance and they are open all afternoon. What a FIND!!! ¡Muchas Gracias!”
“Definitely a good spot to go to. The customer service is great, always checking to make sure everything is good and creating a great experience. Food is really good. No complaints.”
“Such a great little local Thai spot, albeit a bit expensive. After arriving from out of town to visit family for Thanksgiving, my family and I stopped in and enjoyed a quiet lunch at this wonderful little spot. The service was great, and the food was excellent. We had Pad Thai, Pad See Ew, Green Curry and Spicy Eggplant and Tofu. All items were rich with flavor and well prepared. I do wish they'd been a bit more generous (especially for the cost), but overall we were pleased with the experience.Definitely consider checking out this great local business if you're in the area!Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options available, and the tofu/etc. was prepared marvelously!Kid-friendliness: While this spot does use formal dinnerware & silverware (glass cups, etc.) - it still provided a great experience for my kiddos. I wouldn't go so far as to say it was a 'formal' lunch, it definitely was a step up from typical hole-in-the-wall Thai restaurants.”
“I ordered the Pho Doc Biet and a hot tea, and I’m a very happy boy :) It was as good as my favorite pho in LA/OC. Great broth — clean and flavorful, not too salty, and not sweet. Good meats and tripe. The tendon was especially note worthy and plentiful! As a tea lover I was grateful for the second tea bag, which made for a delicious strong pot of tea.The staff is super friendly. It’s a nice family business. There is a reason this place a dedicated customer base. Apparently they were operating in Gilroy, closed for some time and then reopened in Salinas. It was the jubilation in the reviews about the reopening that got my attention.Thank you for the delicious meal! I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in Salinas.”
“Cozy spot for breakfast or lunch. We were on our way home from Pajaro Dunes and found this spot. All four of us had great meals. The burgers are massive, the eggs Benedict are great and the breakfast burrito has lots of options. There's bar, booth and outdoor seating. The atmosphere is classic diner with plenty of fun decor. The staff is super friendly and cheerful. There's plenty of parking.”
“Nice Cafe with the right amenities for your stop and go food for fuel needs. Friendly atmosphere that you can rely on to ensure your order is right! Stop on for a solid snack or just to see what other sweets are available!”
“Best in town. Friendly staff, great portions and most of all taste great.Vegetarian options: A lot to consider.Dietary restrictions: Something for everyone.Parking: Lots of parking in front and parking lot in backKid-friendliness: Patient staff, good kid menu.Wheelchair accessibility: Easy to get around, a lot of space.”
“My son and I get a variety pack weekly. We love that they always have something new. Cookies are always fresh, facility is clean, and staff is friendly. This is easily my favorite spot for a sweet treat!”
“Phenomenal coffee shop! The people working here were so kind and helpful! The coffee was equally as incredible! The aesthetic inside was also adorable. Our favorite drink was the golden hour if anyone needs a suggestion :) We were visiting from out of town and definitely would return here if ever back in Northern Cali! Highly recommend!”
“Store is located on the corner and not much parking to be had during the lunch rush so had park down the street and around three corner. There was a line and most seats were filled (good sign). Not an intimate place for a date, but a good place to go during lunch or after a movie. They do sell beer. The restroom is clean and they have 1 high chair. As for the pizza. It was great! I lived in NYC for 5 years and also Connecticut and I consider myself a pizza snob. The crust was light and airy with that char & crisp that you want. The sauce had that perfect blend of acidity, richness and the taste of tomato. The mozzarella was wonderful. I was transported. Easily the best plain slice I’ve had on the central coast. It’s a 30 minute drive from Monterey, but worth it.Definitely coming back.Price: $10.60 (includes a $1 tip)”
“Buen provecho! Just like grandma's house. Food was authentic and delicious. Homemade tortillas, quality meat, and great flavors. Salsa, rice, beans, sopa, caldo de res (beef and veg soup), tacos, enchiladas, all on point! The owner served us and was very sweet. Please support this family business. If you are in a hurry, call ahead.Kid-friendliness: The owner brought out extra sopa (soup) and little cookies for the kids. Hugh chaors and boosters available.”
“Thank you Yelp for the recommendation!! We drove 2+ hours in a storm to find our destination closed, so we yelped and found this gem!! Highly recommend carnitas and artichoke enchiladas!! Yumm.”
“Customer service fn great!!!! I gave it 4 stars due to its small capacity, but overall food is the best and tasty, very authentic Mexican food. Will keep coming back and forth lol...Vegetarian options: Rice and beans, pico de gallo or salsa, as well as a basic regular salad. Chips, too!!Kid-friendliness: It is family-friendly, but if you got them little ones who can't sit still and are loud, then my recommendation is eating outside due to its tight capacity inside as well as respect for others who are trying to enjoy a family friendly meal without the distraction.Parking: Parking is a bit hard to find, but there is a parking garage down the street from the restaurant. About a few minutes away, walking distanceWheelchair accessibility: WC accessibility outside due to its small restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Not a vegetarian restaurant, but there are rice and beans as well as a regular salad.”
“First time stopping by and it most definitely won't be my last. Great hot and ready, made to order, delicious breakfast burrito for the price, the drip coffee and muffin were AMAZINGGGGGGG. A MUST to stop by!!”
“Best fine dining restaurant in Salinas. They’re pasta, German fair, and desserts are delicious. Also very interesting and spacious nterior reminiscent of the type of food served there. The mousse dessert is very good.”
“The California Benedict was very good. The coffee was a tad weak for my taste. Overall, a great casual restaurant to enjoy with family.Dietary restrictions: Gluten free meals are not available here.”
“Great food, Chile Verde is bomb, their flour tortillas are the best. Recommend placing your order in advance on the app to avoid the lines if you are in a hurry. Store closes early 6pm I believe. Great food, also a location in Monterey.”
“This restaurant is very tucked in the corner its small, but spacious! The owner is nice, it was me and my partners first time going. We were excited to hear that there was a Korean style restaurant near by in prundale! We got the spicy pork bulgogi #10 and the #3 sweet and spicy chicken wings, definitely will be going back. Chicken was really crispy and juicy! The bulgogi was just the perfect amount of spice and flavor! Just hope that for the future they have more options of a menu.”
“I ordered the butterscotch with chocolate chips and the chocolate chip/ marshmallow/gram cracker cookies. They were THE BEST cookies I have ever tasted in my life. Proceed with caution. You will want to eat them everyday! :) Is there any chance you would offer vegan options one day? I hope so!”
