“Nestled in Prunedale, the Country Kitchen offers a cozy, homey atmosphere and classic American diner fare made with quality ingredients. The menu features hearty breakfasts, juicy burgers, and satisfying entrees. What really stands out is the attentive, friendly service from a staff that goes out of their way to make customers feel at home, whether you're a regular or first-time visitor. The classic diner decor completes the small-town vibe. For comfort food and warm hospitality, the Country Kitchen is a wonderful example of the kind of community-focused restaurant that gives Prunedale its unique charm. It's a spot worth visiting for a taste of home cooking.”
“This restaurant is very tucked in the corner its small, but spacious! The owner is nice, it was me and my partners first time going. We were excited to hear that there was a Korean style restaurant near by in prundale! We got the spicy pork bulgogi #10 and the #3 sweet and spicy chicken wings, definitely will be going back. Chicken was really crispy and juicy! The bulgogi was just the perfect amount of spice and flavor! Just hope that for the future they have more options of a menu.”
“I ordered the butterscotch with chocolate chips and the chocolate chip/ marshmallow/gram cracker cookies. They were THE BEST cookies I have ever tasted in my life. Proceed with caution. You will want to eat them everyday! :) Is there any chance you would offer vegan options one day? I hope so!”
“I always get take out. Theyre the closest good eatery to my house. There's been a number of businesses in this location over the years theyve been in my neighborhood, with a similar menu.”
“Ok my cousins wife got catering from these guys for their kids going away to the marine corps party yesterday & I just have to say I’m eating the leftovers a day later and it is still so amazing. I had to write a review. This place is delicious! They have all these different salsas you can buy in a deli case & seriously some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had. The carnitas is fantastic. If I had to only eat 1 meat the rest of my life I can say confidently I would die happy eating this carnitas.”
“Probably the best tacos I’ve had yet shell is amazing meat is juicy and flavorful very nice costumer service and cheap prices $23 for 2 people full size meals and drinks is cheap now days would go ”
“The service was superb. Our server was friendly and attentive. The food came quickly and everything was delicious. The Hideout Burger my husband ordered was delicious and cooked perfectly. The extra side salad we ordered with it was fresh and large enough for my husband to share plenty with me. The server brought me a plate for sharing without me even asking. I ordered the swordfish special. The fish was buttery and flavorful. The risotto was equally delicious. And the veggies that came with it were fresh and the presentation was lovely. Portions were very large. We observed the staff quickly cleaning tables and sweeping up underneath the tables. Everything looked in order at all times. The outdoor seating was nicely spaced and the heaters made the outdoor seating very comfortable. We enjoyed everything about our experience. We will return.”
“Expect to wait 20 minutes if going between 10-2 but worth it, BEST carnitas not only in town but in the 831.The ladies working the front are super nice and fast.”
“The food and the atmosphere at Pizza Pasta Villa were great. And our server was very nice and friendly. However, we had a very long wait for our food to be served to us. It was unusually long. That was the only downside to our otherwise nice dining experience.”
“Thank you Yelp for the recommendation!! We drove 2+ hours in a storm to find our destination closed, so we yelped and found this gem!! Highly recommend carnitas and artichoke enchiladas!! Yumm.”
“What a beautiful oasis right on the road! The coffee is fantastic, and the pastries look incredibly tempting (didn't order any, sticking to my keto diet?). The space itself is so inviting, with every detail showing the care and love put into it. I absolutely love it!”
“I want to share this as my husband and I are Big Fans of the food, the people and it is well worth the wait. Big portions, love the salsa as it taste like mom made it. We travel about 25 minutes from San Juan Bautista / Hollister area to go for breakfast or lunch. Sometimes there is a wait. You wont be dissapointed. Fresh made food ready to enjoy. I also love the lunch menu. The staff is always happy to see you. Take a drive to Corralitos, its not far from Aptos, or Wattsonvile and enjoy the drive and very small town appeal. Bring your appetite! I will update with photos next time. The French toast is one of my favorites.Kid-friendliness: They have portions for kids too.Wheelchair accessibility: Yes, they have a ramp -no steps and seating for wheelchairs”
“Fabulous wedding cake! Easy to work with, communicative, provided exactly what we wanted, expertly delivered, beautiful and everything in between! Would use them time and time again!”
“Fresh delicious Japanese food. Wednesday is Ramen special night. The fish was very fresh and well presented. Great service. It can be a bit noisy.Vegetarian options: Tofu dishesParking: Very small parking lot but there is also street parking available.”
“I am sold on Sea Harvest. I have been to the Monterey location before, but this was an even better experience! Service was prompt and the menu is straightforward. I ordered a bowl of clam chowder and a side of French fries-- expecting enough food for one, but there was closer to three servings! Great deal for the price. The chowder was savory and perfect for a chilly day. The French fries were crisp and paired perfectly with the chowder. Both the inside and outside are comfortable with a gorgeous view of the bay on one side and the flumes on the other. I've come back with friends now many times and it's still a favorite!”
“Excellent service, the ambiance was very cozy and comfortable. We were immediately greeted and tended to graciously. The water they served us tasted great. We had Fish & Chips and Tom Kha soup (special order). Be mindful they include tomatoes in the soup. I added my own flare to it by adding noodles and carrot decorations from my boyfriend's plate (as shown in the photo). Our food was served hot, had a rich flavor, and the tofu and mushrooms in the soup were firm and also had nice flavor. Very filling! The fish and chips were delicious and the salad had a sweet dressing that added a nice touch (I ended up sneaking a piece of fish off his plate too it was so good!). Thanks guys! We'll be back to try more menu items.”
“An excellent neighborhood cafe. The food is marvelous, menudo, chicken popusa, chicken sope, and the freshest most refreshing pico de gallo. Service was gratuitous, prompt, and attentive. The interior is, simple, clean and bright. Definitely a go-to location.”
“Been coming here for years and years, never had anything but a great meal and great service. If you haven't already tried it, get down to the cowboy corner cafe and get some really really good food!”
“It was excellent on a rainy day to come here and have the deepest porter and a red ale!! The staff was very knowledgeable and friendly. Love the atmosphere and art for sale on the walls. They have merch I'll definitely be back for!”
“The waiter and service were great. Micheocan (sp) cuisine I think. The salsa and chips were great as well. Husband had chile relleno which was also good. I had chicken mole; it wasn't great nor was it bad. I have heard their tacos are great. Will try next time. Again, family owned restaurant, very nice waiter and greeter. Nice place.”
“Small taco truck packing big flavor. The food is delicious and staff are friendly and accommodating. Have been there twice and have had excellent service each time, I will be back!”
