“Ended my birthday night with an awesome meal at Patrias... my European friend swears by schnitzel so I gave that a try and I was not disappointed. The plate had nice portions and it was seasoned very well. I talked my wife into getting the lamb shank and WOW we both were impressed. It tasted so dang juicy, and really really hit the spot. The shank was huge, but the taste was on point so it was devoured. Lol. We ended dinner with a creme brule and a pear strudel and both were amazing. The atmosphere was very nice, and now this is gonna be a regular spot of ours from now on.“

“You know those places you feel at home? This is one for me. Hospitable, friendly, welcoming service. Food was yummy, fast and furious! I got Tlacoyos.. I came years ago and had to return. Food is fresh. The menu has great options even for Vegans. The masa de mais taste fresh too. Oaxaca is different from regular Mexican food. The space is on point! Yo, it’s righteously priced too! Even my dog enjoyed the outdoor sitting with me. Did I mention they’re bilingual? So they speak the Spanglish. All good in this neighborhood. Don’t be scared the people say hi ?? - smile life is ? good.“

“This is a very popular spot for the Hispanic crowd. Everything is made from scratch. The tortillas are fabulously fresh. This is the only place I have ever seen chili relleno burritos, oh so good! They only make 50 per day and they are usually gone by 1 pm. Long lines are common at lunch time, but with several servers behind the counter the line moves fast. You choose your items while you watch them being out together. There is no indoor seating.“

“We had a reservation for 4 at 5:30 on a Wednesday. Parking was easy. The place was busy and noisy. We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. Our group had prime rib and New York steak (and salmon filet), amazing steak, cooked to perfection along with the potatoes, veggies, and salad. Thumbs up for an outstanding steakhouse meal. We will go back soon. Oh yes, and the wine was excellent!“

“Noodle House is one of my favorite spots in Salinas. We have been coming here since 2011, when we first moved to the area. Their pho is among the best I've had, and I never get anything else. The service is great; everyone is friendly and attentive. Definitely recommend!“

“I ordered the Pho Doc Biet and a hot tea, and I’m a very happy boy :) It was as good as my favorite pho in LA/OC. Great broth — clean and flavorful, not too salty, and not sweet. Good meats and tripe. The tendon was especially note worthy and plentiful! As a tea lover I was grateful for the second tea bag, which made for a delicious strong pot of tea.The staff is super friendly. It’s a nice family business. There is a reason this place a dedicated customer base. Apparently they were operating in Gilroy, closed for some time and then reopened in Salinas. It was the jubilation in the reviews about the reopening that got my attention.Thank you for the delicious meal! I’ll definitely come back here the next time I’m in Salinas.“

“I made a quick trip this weekend to my hometown of Salinas for a cousin's funeral, and I found this place on Yelp (where else). My brother and I were hungry for breakfast and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with over medium eggs, beans and rice, while my brother ordered the country eggs Benedict (sausage Patty instead of Canadian bacon). The salsa verde on the chilaquiles had just enough bite without being soggy, the tortilla chips were nice and crispy, and the eggs were cooked just right. The beans and rice complimented the meal perfectly. I was going to order the optional carne asada to go on top of the chilaquiles, but honestly, I didn't miss it. The Señora, presumably the proprietor, came by our table three times with a big smile to see how we liked it. No small feat, considering how busy they were. We are very well for $41 plus tip. I will definitely return to this excellent local spot when I am in town.“

“The food was very delicious here. I recommend the wet burritos. Both Chile Verde and Chile Colorado are equally yummy. Their rice and beans are also very yum! Chips and salsa were good. I wish the place was a little roomier, but the food was great! Would definitely come back again.“

“Love this little hidden pink gem located on Park Row in South Salinas near the Bagel Corner. They have great weekly lunch specials two people can share a plate as they serve Large servings. My favorite lunch combo is the noodles with kung pao shrimp. They are also one of the few restaurants open late in the area. Go give it a try!!!“

The food is just delicious. My favorite is their pancakes. Oh can’t forget their homemade salsa. I always ask for some to go home with. It’s just that good. If you never been your missing out.“

“Consistently one of the best places for breakfast in this area. Usually busy, parking is always a problem, but it's well worth it. My go-to is the huevos rancheros with chile verde and it's the stuff I dream of. It's not always on the menu, unless it's the weekend. Tortilla with a slather of beans and cheese and another tortilla on top. Pour on the delicious pork chili verde, add your eggs and a sprinkle of cotija and cilantro. Delicious! My husband loves the chicken fried steak, and theirs is the best locally. Their gravy tastes homemade and the steak is seasoned and cooked perfectly. I would add photos, but food is usually devoured so quickly after arriving that there's no time. Staff is friendly and does a good job. The same people have been there for a long time, so they must treat their staff well. Appreciate this place and highly recommend.“

“Camalig has been on our radar for quite some time but we have not been able to stop in until this week and BOY LEMME TELL YOU this food is AMAZING! We were greeted by the lovely lady when we arrived and a man came from the back to explain all the options available. My hubby and I decided on a 2 option plate, I had the "world famous " pork adobo (one of the hubs options as well) and the chicken adobo, the hubby also picked the beef stew. When we say flavor packed we mean it!, delicious! When he said the pork was world famous, we can understand why it was falling apart, and with the sauce mixed with the white rice is just heavenly. The beef stew was flavorful and delicious. When we left the restaurant we were happily on the way to Costco to walk it off because if we would have went home we would have been sleeping it off instead! The lumpia were outstanding ! They only had vegetable ones available we ordered enough to bring home so we could have a few for later(pop those bad boys in the air fryer for a few minutes and they were right back to Crispy deliciousness) we enjoyed them for our light dinner due to still being full from lunch. The restaurant itself is small quaint and homey. Small coffee area and the feels of eating at a family member's house. Lawrence (so so nice!) came out and and cut us a slice of flan- Omggggg I'm not even kidding about how good it was. In my culture flan is thick(not my favorite) but the thin slice with the delicious Carmel sauce ... damn! Seriously makes me want to go back today just thinking of it! This is one of those places you want to blow up because they deserve it but you also don't want everybody to go so they're always sold out when you arrive lol all seriousness we wish them so much success! We felt so at home here, Lawrence is sincerely so nice and the other staff was equally amazing. We will be back“

“Customer service fn great!!!! I gave it 4 stars due to its small capacity, but overall food is the best and tasty, very authentic Mexican food. Will keep coming back and forth lol...Vegetarian options: Rice and beans, pico de gallo or salsa, as well as a basic regular salad. Chips, too!!Kid-friendliness: It is family-friendly, but if you got them little ones who can't sit still and are loud, then my recommendation is eating outside due to its tight capacity inside as well as respect for others who are trying to enjoy a family friendly meal without the distraction.Parking: Parking is a bit hard to find, but there is a parking garage down the street from the restaurant. About a few minutes away, walking distanceWheelchair accessibility: WC accessibility outside due to its small restaurant.Dietary restrictions: Not a vegetarian restaurant, but there are rice and beans as well as a regular salad.“
“Small family owned winery. Absolutely best sparkling wine you can get, hands down. The winery is cute and pleasant, great place to enjoy the sun with a nice glass. But what really makes it is the staff and owner. Genuine, caring, good people. There's nothing to not like. Don't question it, just go.“

“Super delicious, all traditional favors were there. I will come back and bring guests. Nothing was old or grease. Everything was fresh and tasty. I am coming back!!!Parking: There was a person in front checking the parking lot. We assumed it was because of the low security in Salinas but we do not really know.“

“First time here with my 3 daughters and husband. The buffet was packed and we randomly decided to eat here instead. Customer service is great. Very nice, attentive, and polite people. The place was clean. The food was very tasty. I really enjoyed, their Kung pao chicken, fried rice with shrimp, chow mein, wonton soup, and pot stickers. We ordered one of the family deals for 3 and there was more than enough food. We had lots of leftover food to take home ?. Prices are affordable. We all enjoyed our meal. We will definitely be back.“

“Important to note - this is primarily a take out place. They have enough space for maybe 12 people at most. You have to go to the counter to place your order and pay for it. Then they’ll serve your food if you’re lucky enough to get a table.Food is decent overall but avoid pad see ew. They obviously don’t know how to cook it.“

“DON'T DOORDASH!!!!!!! Doordash is a middle man leech company that does not care about its customers or the businesses they feed off of. When something goes wrong, the customer blames the restaurant instead of the morons that are doordash. Always contact the restaurant directly, and you'll receive much better service!!!!“

“The food is great... Their problem is running out of food. It's a constant problem with this place and I don't understand why they can't seem to ever cook enough potatoes and brisket. They routinely run out of the favorites BEFORE the dinner rush. If you have extra potatoes, save them for breakfast, cube them, put them in a pan, throw them in a burrito. Get creative! Constantly running out of food will chase your loyal customers away, especially over a $0.50 potato!!!“
“Excellent food! I got a sope, taco, and corn, and all 3 were super delicious. I loved the red and green sauce too, nice kick to it (if you're a spice lightweight it might burn you a new butthole). Very pleasant people and great customer service.“

“It was ?! We went on the Thursday before ? Weekend...it was lunch time, so it was packed. Spring ? break. My order was mediocre. I ordered the Teriyaki beef ?...the beef was ? cut for bite size eating? It looked like a flank ? almost whole? Jesting. No really, the pieces were not bite size! Everything else was nominal. Service has changed since the Pandemic! ?✌?“

“The food is always great! Fresh ingredients, seasoned to your liking (mild to spicy hot)! Tonight we had the Fisherman's curry - a great selection of fresh seafood and vegetables with indulgent sticky rice! For starters we had chicken satay sticks, very generous with extra sauce and freshly pickled cucumber slices. Yummo! Tonight we had Uber Eats which was perfect, everything hot & fresh When we eat in the restaurant, they look after us very well and treat us like valued guests.“
“As I was saying, after a long hiking trip at the Pinnacles Nat. Park, are gullets were extremely dry! Obviously I (YELPED ) for some liquid refreshments and Alvarado st. Brewery appeared like the scene where the suitcase was opened and a golden ray shined in the movie Pulp Fiction. The place felt very welcoming with its spire tanks of beer all around and the distinct bouquet of fermented hops. Nice extensive brews abound , ipa's , lagers, pils and my choice of stout! That is a Mole Stout ( mōle) with its high alcoholic content and chocolate spicy flavors; this I like! Of course I wanted to try all their 10 types of beer but to no avail; I was driving“

“It's our first time and we wanted to try this coz we keep on going to other Japanese restaurants. The place is clean and quiet (which I like, don't like too much noise when I'm dining), Stephanie our server (I don't know if I spelled her name right) was awesome! She's very sweet and attentive, keep checking if we need anything else or if everything is okay. The foods were good! all in all, a pleasurable experience for a first time. We will come back again for sure. Thanks Stephanie for such a wonderful service! You're awesome!“

“When I walked in from the rain I was greeted warmly, the restaurant was nicely lit, cheerful and clean. The choice of food was amazing. I heard some diners request something not on the menu; ;"No problem, we can do that for you," chirped the server -Sam, the owner. The food came out quickly, it was hot and appetizing. The portions were on the generous side. There is a friendly ambiance to the restaurant - many of the diners seemed to be regulars and had friendly exchanges with the owners/waiters. I've been going here for 13 years, the food has actually gotten even more delicious over time!!! I hope you enjoy your visit to The Eagle!!“

“I'm in town visiting family. My sister wanted to go out for a Valentine's outing. She suggested a restaurant that I won't mention. Instead I made reservations at The Village. We Fettuccini Alfredo with Blackened shrimp. The Lobster Ravioli, & Seafood Monterey Combo player. You could taste how fresh everything was. Fresh, good quality food and reasonable prices, especially in to crazy economy. Skip the "franchise restaurants"' come here for higher quality food that wasn't previously frozen! “My wife and I visited Pessangno winery last weekend. We have been to the winery several times. This last visit was fantastic. There was a girl working the tasting room I believe her name was Jamie. The place was packed, live music, people inside and outside. This gal never stopped moving, and always with a smile on her face. I just wanted someone like her to be recognized, I own a restaurant, and I would love to have employees like her. On top of the wine being wonderful, our service was fantastic. Good Employees should be recognized. We will definitely be back for a lot more visits.“

“Great food, decent happy hour specials. Entrees are a lil pricey but large portions so it's worth it. About 17-24 bucks depending on what you order. The pizza, chicken Parm, and Alfredo pasta with chicken is yummy. Cool vibe, depends on the day but can be a bit noisy in the evenings. Overall good food if you like pizza or Italian. “Delicious food, they are very welcoming, if there is something wrong with the order they don’t hesitate to fix it. We come here often. I usually order a quesabirria or quesadilla. My daughter loves the sopes and tacos. My husband likes their asada burrito. I’ve had many of their plates and they’re all good. They also have Taco Tuesday. My dad’s favorite. Their food trucks are also good. One thing I do recommend is that they make more aguas frescas since they run out quick every time I go to the restaurant they’re out.Kid-friendliness: They like having my toddler over. Always talking to her.“
“I was had a craving for Pozole, I did a search and La Casa del Guajolote among other restaurants. But this restaurant had a 4.6 rating, so I chose to come here! Well now I know why it has such a great rating! There food was EXCELLENT! I was greeted immediately by Ramon. I believe he was the owner. Ramon was very helpful! He had great recommendations and explained what items that were on the menu that maybe as common in other places. We had the pozole and the Torta Guajolote asada! Both entrees were rich in flavor and tasted as if your nana made them! Also the salsas were very flavorful, not too spicy. I will be returning very soon and bringing my family!“

“If you have children, and don't mind noise, a lot of noise, you might like Angelina's. A LOT of kids teams were also there which is nice, but when there is already excess noise, it makes it tough. It was so loud my husband and I had to lean across the table and almost shout to hear eachother. Food was ok, not good enough to make a special trip for. Service...about 80% self serve, and had to chase down someone if we ever needed anything.“
