“I went to this location on a bus tour for a new staff orientation. We took over the whole building. This place has 3-5 huge tv screens that were playing the Olympic Games, basketball, and soccer. The staff were very busy running around and serving food with a huge smile. Every staff member including the owner, Junior (who was cooking all of our food), had a huge smile on their faces and kept asking if we needed anything else. The bus tour ran late and we had to leave in a hurry. Without complaint the staff cleaned up and asked if we needed anything else. The staff encouraged us to take to-go boxes and went above and beyond in friendly, respectful, welcoming customer service. I love to support places like this and always feel respected and valued as a customer.

“Had the Castroville Scramble (3 eggs, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, with home fried potatoes and Rye toast) and it was VERY VERY good! The service was great and food delivered promptly. there's a small outdoor dining area tgat was very nice even though it's in a very commercial/industrial part of town. I wasn’t thrilled with my meal. I ordered a (vegan) tofu noodle dish, yet it contained egg and definitely had a fishy component. The noodles congealed which made them difficult to eat. Our grandson ordered the Penang curry and enjoyed it. My husband ordered the seafood Pad Thai and had zero leftovers.

“This is an experience you should not pass on. So far this is the best Chinese restaurant we have eaten at in Salinas, CA. Limited parking. Staff is friendly and attentive.

Wonton soup was flavorful with soft wonton. The chow mein noodles were soft and chewy (not for everyone) but the flavor was amazing. The fried rice did not have peas and carrots in it, as it should be. They did use green onions. The fried prawns were crunchy and non greasy but hot, same with the egg rolls. The sweet and sour pork was had hand dipped quality and cooked. The breading on the outside was not traditional like what you would find at a buffet. They seem to take pride in the food they serve and it shows. We will be going back as this is a place that is save on our phone and in our stomachs.“

We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). It’s a small, hidden spot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Not loud or trendy — just calm and comfortable. Most of the customers seemed like locals, and you can tell many of them are regulars.
The restaurant is very clean, which immediately made us feel at ease. The elderly server was incredibly kind and attentive. The side dishes were refilled quickly without us even having to ask. The soup was delicious and arrived still boiling at the table — those little details really make a difference.
There’s a real Korean home-style cooking feeling here. It’s not fancy, but every bite feels warm, comforting, and satisfying — the kind of food that makes you feel taken care of.
