“I had the fried tempura plate, which came with a nice combination of shrimp tempura and fried vegetables. The tempura was golden, crispy, and flaky with every bite, and the vegetables were well-balanced and not overly fried.
The soup that accompanied the meal was delightful, light and not over-seasoned. The rice was fresh and well prepared. Overall, I really enjoyed the food, the welcoming atmosphere, and the excellent, friendly staff.

“Had the Castroville Scramble (3 eggs, artichoke hearts, tomatoes, onions, with home fried potatoes and Rye toast) and it was VERY VERY good! The service was great and food delivered promptly. there's a small outdoor dining area tgat was very nice even though it's in a very commercial/industrial part of town. A very pleasant dining surprise for hungry travellers!“

“Mr. And Mrs.Kong are some of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. I discovered them when I was in middle school and I’m about to graduate. Every time I go they are pleasant and they have such amazing big energy. Sad to hear they are closing their Watsonville location, but I truly recommend this place!
They have THE BEST BURRITO ever, the breakfast burrito made with tofu and kimchi. O.M.G. I cannot explain the flavors or the sauce, this is phenomenal truly. I thank them for blessing my tastebuds every.single.time.

“This is a gem of a place that I've passed a hundred times. Nancy the owner was awesome as was Angie our server. Clean and really cool vibe. Best Thai restaurant I've ever been to with the best drunken noodles I've ever had and I've had a lot! The flavor layers were incredible. Spring rolls were fresh and light and delicious and the chicken satay was perfect. Also tried the Pho and it was incredible. Again the flavor layers where deep and rich and big. The bar is great and well stocked. And the mango/vanilla ice cream/sticky rice desert was amazing. Great quality meats and veggies. Just a perfect place that I will be visiting a lot in the future and it's only a 20 minute drive from Monterey. Also met a really nice guy sitting at the bar with us. Highly recommend!!!“

“Picked up food to go last year and it was really good. So happy that we found this place again! Ordered garlic parm and spicy fried chicken wing plates, lemongrass chicken and beef meatball pho. Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! Ive tried other places closer to home but they lack what this location provides. Food is always fresh Always delicious and they have never skimp on portions. Its a family own business and they are always kind.“

“First time at New Korea Restaurant and I was genuinely impressed.
It’s a small, hidden spot in a quiet residential neighborhood. Not loud or trendy — just calm and comfortable. Most of the customers seemed like locals, and you can tell many of them are regulars.
The restaurant is very clean, which immediately made us feel at ease. The elderly server was incredibly kind and attentive. The side dishes were refilled quickly without us even having to ask. The soup was delicious and arrived still boiling at the table — those little details really make a difference.
There’s a real Korean home-style cooking feeling here. It’s not fancy, but every bite feels warm, comforting, and satisfying — the kind of food that makes you feel taken care of.
At the end, they even gave us complimentary small drinks, which was such a sweet touch.
Definitely a humble, hidden gem that deserves more love. We’ll be back.“

We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). “Every single time I go to this restaurant, the food is excellent! Ana is the best server! My family and extended family love, love, love everything we have tried. My current favorite is Hunan Beef. The Singapore Rice Noodles are great, eggplant, every variation of rock cod, Peking pork… They can vary any dish to your liking. The lunches are a good deal, enough food for two meals for me. However, going with my family and getting a variety of dishes is what we like the best. Usually there are six to eight of us and we get to eat all of our favorites.“

They ordered the chicken and shrimp fajitas and the combo meal with chicken enchilada and shredded beef taco. Everything was superb. Ask for the salsa verde if you like some kick. The complimentary chips and salsa are great as well.“
