“Location, location, location! We stopped here solely because we smelled the delicious food as our boat came in from our whale watching trip across the harbor.
We walked in around 3pm, were seated along the bar overlooking the harbor with a great view. Unfortunately the staff either forgot about us or didn't realize we were in someone's assigned section because we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. I tried turning around to make eye contact with the staff, but they were hard at work and I didn't want to interrupt them as they were almost always speaking to other customers. We watched several tables who were seated after us get their order taken, so I started to get nervous knowing they closed at 4pm.
Right before we were about to leave a friendly staff member approached us to ask if we had been helped. We ordered everything at once to be efficient with time - my husband and I split the clam chowder, fish and chips, and a side order of sourdough bread. We received our food around 3:50pm and we were so excited to get our food.
Ultimately I am glad we ended up waiting, the food was delicious and hit the spot after a busy day. I would say if you are on a time crunch, don't stop here. We will definitely come back, we'll just budget for more time!“

“Incredible food!!!! This place is fantastic. It’s behind the center. We walked up, placed our takeout order, and was on our way home in 15 mins. We ordered the tikka wrap and rice bowl and lots of garlic naan. It was all AMAZING. We also got the rose lemonade and the mango lassi. Both phenomenal. The owner (I think) threw something else in, some type of veggie curry and that was also Felipe’s. We cannot wait to return. Definitely worth indulging!!!!!“

Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! 🍖 The massive plate of pork hock was only $40 and could easily feed multiple people. Flavor 10/10, no foul flavor, spiced to perfection

🥘 The bibimbap portion was huge — honestly enough for two people.

🍲 The soondae guk was a perfect 10/10. Rich, comforting, perfectly seasoned, and served in a bowl noticeably larger than what most Korean restaurants give you.

🍚 Even the rice stood out: plump, slightly sweet, and perfectly cooked without being sticky.

The server was an elderly Korean grandma who was one of the sweetest people I’ve ever met. When I mentioned I was celebrating my birthday, she brought out a Choco Pie with a candle, sang Happy Birthday, and made the whole experience feel incredibly personal and memorable.

🏡 The restaurant is family-owned, with the family’s house right next door. The entire place feels warm, authentic, and welcoming—like you’re being invited into someone’s home rather than dining at a restaurant.

“Ive been coming here for years. Ive moved out of salinas 20 years ago and I still drive 40 minutes when I crave Chinese food. Ive tried other places closer to home but they lack what this location provides. Food is always fresh Always delicious and they have never skimp on portions. Its a family own business and they are always kind.“

The Singapore Rice Noodles are great, eggplant, every variation of rock cod, Peking pork… They can vary any dish to your liking. The lunches are a good deal, enough food for two meals for me. However, going with my family and getting a variety of dishes is what we like the best. Usually there are six to eight of us and we get to eat all of our favorites.“

The restaurant was clean, and it was not too crowded when we visited in the afternoon, which made for a relaxed atmosphere.

Our server was polite and friendly. While service was a little slower than expected, she appeared to be managing the dining room on her own, and we appreciated her efforts.

We enjoyed the aguas frescas, and the Taco Tuesday specials offered good value. The tacos were good overall, although the carne asada tacos were not as hot as we expected when they were served.

Overall, it was an enjoyable meal, and we would consider visiting again.“

The sauce is the real standout, it's light, slightly sweet, and perfectly balanced, complementing every bite. It is simple, unpretentious, and exactly what you hope for from a neighborhood pizzeria.

Service is fast, and the pricing is fair. I had three slices of pepperoni pizza and three water bottles for $13.81. What struck me most is how Pizza Mia manages to deliver both nostalgia and quality, proving that some local favorites are timeless. The only downside is that I noticed the seating area is now closed, which is a bummer as that was a place to sit, eat, and enjoy your pizza and maybe play an arcade game.

“We are locals who come here often. The owner is wonderfully accommodating. We usually order the combination plate for 2 or more people because you get fried rice, soup, egg rolls, and cream cheese wontons. We have also tried the lunch special as well. They usually get a lot of to-go orders. We have ordered a number of things, and all are very good. Their hot and sour soup is very good.“
