“Location, location, location! We stopped here solely because we smelled the delicious food as our boat came in from our whale watching trip across the harbor.
We walked in around 3pm, were seated along the bar overlooking the harbor with a great view. Unfortunately the staff either forgot about us or didn't realize we were in someone's assigned section because we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. I tried turning around to make eye contact with the staff, but they were hard at work and I didn't want to interrupt them as they were almost always speaking to other customers. We watched several tables who were seated after us get their order taken, so I started to get nervous knowing they closed at 4pm.
Right before we were about to leave a friendly staff member approached us to ask if we had been helped. We ordered everything at once to be efficient with time - my husband and I split the clam chowder, fish and chips, and a side order of sourdough bread. We received our food around 3:50pm and we were so excited to get our food.
Ultimately I am glad we ended up waiting, the food was delicious and hit the spot after a busy day. I would say if you are on a time crunch, don't stop here. We will definitely come back, we'll just budget for more time!“

The service was great and food delivered promptly. there's a small outdoor dining area tgat was very nice even though it's in a very commercial/industrial part of town. A very pleasant dining surprise for hungry travellers!“

“My wife and I checked out this place today while our son was sleeping. Like other reviewers probably mentioned, it is hard to find. Shout out to Google maps. It seems to be a commercial kitchen on the backside / alley of the shopping center. We orded two wraps and a mango lassi. Since we didn't order ahead (recommended) we waited for 10-15 min in the car and went to collect our goods. Wow! What a delightful surprise. The chicken Tikka wrap was delicious / super flavorful. The lassi was also incredible. We haven't eaten our chicken vindaloo wrap yet as we are saving that for dinner, but 1000% will be returning. Don't let the location / entrance throw you off, this place was definitely worth the visit.

“We have been coming here for years and our experience has always been wonderful. To start with, when you arrive, you are seated immediately. Menus have many delicious options for Vietnamese food, and one thing I personally recommend is the #50. Portions here are large and we are satisfied every time we come here. Their ambiance here is okay and though this place can feel old and rundown at certain times.

In addition, along with the normal sodas, they have a few shakes though last time I went recently they didn’t have boba. Service here is great and usually doesn’t take long though employees can be a bit hard to understand sometimes due to their accents. Prices here are pretty reasonable, especially with the portions you get and restrooms, while not the cleanest, are fine.“

“Picked up food to go last year and it was really good. So happy that we found this place again! Ordered garlic parm and spicy fried chicken wing plates, lemongrass chicken and beef meatball pho. Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! We will definitely come here again when we’re in the area.“

“Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Above all, they treated us like family. We will absolutely be having more family dinners here. If you are reading reviews to see where you should go to eat this is THE place to go. P.S. “Sukhothai was amazing! The servers were very nice & friendly. The place eventually got very busy as they have indoor & outdoor seating. It seemed like there was only a handful of wait staff, but they still managed to provide great service. The food was delicious! We got the mango salad which came in some sort of fried rice paper (I think) and it was a great starter. We also got the chicken wings, which was surprisingly very filling and came with a lovely chili sauce on the side along with some pickled veggies which paired very nicely together. For our mains we got pad see ew & pad thai. Spice level chosen was "spicy", but it wasn't that spicy so I would probably even choose "Thai Spicy" for next time. Regardless, both dishes were really good. The portions were pretty large and we definitely took a lot of it to go. Their Thai Iced Tea was DELICIOUS! Not overly sweet - just perfect. Lastly, we ended our meal with their mango sticky rice dessert. Again, it wasn't overly sweet - it was just right. The final total was surprisingly a lot lower than we expected, which was a plus! Will definitely be returning to try their other dishes. Highly recommended! It was also great that they had a location in Markham, so trekking downtown wasn't necessary.“

“We live in San Francisco and were visiting Monterey when we searched for a good Korean restaurant and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and we were so happy to see such a wide variety of Korean dishes on the menu.

The three of us really enjoyed the food, especially because there were many dishes that are not easy to find in the U.S. Everything was generous, flavorful, and tasted homemade, just like Korean food should.

My mother especially loved the kimchi and said it was much better than the kimchi we usually buy at the market, so we even purchased some to take home. Honestly, the food was so delicious that even compared to what we would eat in Korea, we had absolutely nothing to complain about.

Everyone who worked there was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our meal even more enjoyable.

And I have to give a special thank-you to the staff for going out of their way to safely mail back the cardigan I accidentally left behind. I had only recently bought it, so I was really worried that I might lose it. I was so relieved and grateful to receive it back. Thank you so, so much! ❤

“Every single time I go to this restaurant, the food is excellent! Ana is the best server! My family and extended family love, love, love everything we have tried. My current favorite is Hunan Beef. The Singapore Rice Noodles are great, eggplant, every variation of rock cod, Peking pork… They can vary any dish to your liking. The lunches are a good deal, enough food for two meals for me. However, going with my family and getting a variety of dishes is what we like the best. Usually there are six to eight of us and we get to eat all of our favorites.“

Staff is extremely wonderful 8n many ways. For example, I saw one go out of the way running outside to take a personal item someone left at their table.
We had the veggie sandwich with iced tea & pulled pork with a tap beer.
All tasted great, in fact, the veggie sandwich is the tastiest I've ever had. The pulled pork is also fantastic.

The restaurant was clean, and it was not too crowded when we visited in the afternoon, which made for a relaxed atmosphere.

Our server was polite and friendly. While service was a little slower than expected, she appeared to be managing the dining room on her own, and we appreciated her efforts.

We enjoyed the aguas frescas, and the Taco Tuesday specials offered good value. The tacos were good overall, although the carne asada tacos were not as hot as we expected when they were served.

We usually order the combination plate for 2 or more people because you get fried rice, soup, egg rolls, and cream cheese wontons. We have also tried the lunch special as well. They usually get a lot of to-go orders. We have ordered a number of things, and all are very good. Their hot and sour soup is very good.“
