“Location, location, location! We stopped here solely because we smelled the delicious food as our boat came in from our whale watching trip across the harbor.
We walked in around 3pm, were seated along the bar overlooking the harbor with a great view. Unfortunately the staff either forgot about us or didn't realize we were in someone's assigned section because we ended up waiting almost 30 minutes for someone to come over to take our order. I tried turning around to make eye contact with the staff, but they were hard at work and I didn't want to interrupt them as they were almost always speaking to other customers. We watched several tables who were seated after us get their order taken, so I started to get nervous knowing they closed at 4pm.
Right before we were about to leave a friendly staff member approached us to ask if we had been helped. We ordered everything at once to be efficient with time - my husband and I split the clam chowder, fish and chips, and a side order of sourdough bread. We received our food around 3:50pm and we were so excited to get our food.
Ultimately I am glad we ended up waiting, the food was delicious and hit the spot after a busy day. I would say if you are on a time crunch, don't stop here. We will definitely come back, we'll just budget for more time!“

“The food at the restaurant is delicious. All servers are volunteers and proceeds go towards the maintenance of the house. Super knowledgeable docent led tours as well. I believe the schedule is posted on their website. Merchandise and books downstairs are terrific. There are several Steinbeck related souvenirs to choose from and good book selections!“

“The problem, as with all restaurants, is price. $8.95 for a piece of pie. It looks great; $25 for a sandwich and fries is just too much for me with the economy the way it is. If I got a burger and fries, an Iced Tea, and a piece of pie, I'm out $40-$50 with tax and tip. The dog-friendly balcony is awesome, but they should provide a doggie plate and a bowl of water.“

“A true hidden gem, I had never frequented this place under any other name, but as rendezvous I can say is fell in love with this place. Nice and conformable environment, indoor and outdoor seating with heaters. Great service and food was excellent. I hope more people visit this place to keep it around for a long while. “Great place we stumbled onto at 2:30 in afternoon as restaurant we drove here for was closed between lunch & dinner.
Staff is extremely wonderful 8n many ways. For example, I saw one go out of the way running outside to take a personal item someone left at their table.
We had the veggie sandwich with iced tea & pulled pork with a tap beer.
All tasted great, in fact, the veggie sandwich is the tastiest I've ever had. The pulled pork is also fantastic.
The FRIES ARE SUPER & so good do NOT put anything on them, so tasty as is!“

“Had a great experience at Applebee’s. The staff was top-notch—attentive, accommodating, and made sure everything was handled right without hovering. The bartenders are some of the best around and really know how to make you feel welcomed and appreciated. Management even stopped by to check in and make sure everything was going smoothly, which says a lot. Food came out fast, hot, and exactly how it should. Overall, just a solid place with great people and a good atmosphere. Definitely left in a good mood.“

“Great divey bar kind of place with really good food. They always seem to have some type of different than usual soups that are very good. Plates come with a small slice of yummy chocolate cake too. Service is fast and friendly, drinks are good as well.“

“Went for graduation celebratory dinner and our server Brian was absolutely magnificent. The customer service was above and beyond. We were a table of 8 that didn't have to ask for refills, they were just brought, extra napkins were brought when our food arrived etc.“
