“We come here occasionally for a drink and some light food. The staff is always fantastic and the views are very nice. It’s still relatively unknown and usually quiet, kind of a local secret. All in all a great place for a drink and a bite“
“Lovely cozy little place with plenty of Steinbeck memorabilia to peruse through. The servers are all very kind (all volunteers!) My chicken wrap was yummy and the veggie broth and bread rolls were definitely homemade and delicious. It was definitely worth the lunch stop. Keep in mind they close at 2pm so arrive before 2.“
“Loved this place. Just the owner and her husband. Will definitely come back again. Going to be my go-to Chinese place in Marina. So thankful my family and I tried it. She was very kind and gave us complimentary tempura. More than enough food for the four of us!!“
“Nestled in Prunedale, the Country Kitchen offers a cozy, homey atmosphere and classic American diner fare made with quality ingredients. The menu features hearty breakfasts, juicy burgers, and satisfying entrees. What really stands out is the attentive, friendly service from a staff that goes out of their way to make customers feel at home, whether you're a regular or first-time visitor. The classic diner decor completes the small-town vibe. For comfort food and warm hospitality, the Country Kitchen is a wonderful example of the kind of community-focused restaurant that gives Prunedale its unique charm. It's a spot worth visiting for a taste of home cooking.“
“We had a reservation for 4 at 5:30 on a Wednesday. Parking was easy. The place was busy and noisy. We were seated immediately. Our server was friendly, knowledgeable and experienced. Our group had prime rib and New York steak (and salmon filet), amazing steak, cooked to perfection along with the potatoes, veggies, and salad. Thumbs up for an outstanding steakhouse meal. We will go back soon. Oh yes, and the wine was excellent!“
“Get ready for a flavor fiesta that'll have your taste buds doing the salsa at Tico's! Despite its modest size, this place packs a punch that'll leave you craving more. As I stepped in, I caught Tico himself in action, orchestrating culinary magic in the kitchen. The food was so divine that I just had to snag a pic with the maestro himself to commemorate the moment. From flavor to service, Tico's hits all the right notes with its charming mom-and-pop vibe. If you find yourself in town, do yourself a favor and pay Tico a visit--it's a taste sensation you won't want to miss! “
“I made a quick trip this weekend to my hometown of Salinas for a cousin's funeral, and I found this place on Yelp (where else). My brother and I were hungry for breakfast and this place did not disappoint. I ordered the chilaquiles verdes with over medium eggs, beans and rice, while my brother ordered the country eggs Benedict (sausage Patty instead of Canadian bacon). The salsa verde on the chilaquiles had just enough bite without being soggy, the tortilla chips were nice and crispy, and the eggs were cooked just right. The beans and rice complimented the meal perfectly. I was going to order the optional carne asada to go on top of the chilaquiles, but honestly, I didn't miss it. The Señora, presumably the proprietor, came by our table three times with a big smile to see how we liked it. No small feat, considering how busy they were. We are very well for $41 plus tip. I will definitely return to this excellent local spot when I am in town.“
“I like it, but they are hiring people that dont know english. Try going to mexico and ask for something in english they get all mad. It's a frustration going to restaurants that dont understand our primary language and that are leagal.“
“We love coming here to Dudley’s on Saturday. It’s a family thing. I’ve been coming here since I was a teen with my mother and grandmother. Now I come with my husband and my mother in law. The food is just delicious. My favorite is their pancakes. Oh can’t forget their homemade salsa. I always ask for some to go home with. It’s just that good. If you never been your missing out.“
“Fast, friendly, and consistent. The wait staff at the Farm House are very friendly and hospitable. The food comes out really fast, sometimes too fast, meaning food doesn't always come out at the same time so people In your party may wait a bit after others have received their food. And if you add a side with your main meal, it tends to be forgotten.Food is consistently good for dinner food, a bit over salted, but consistent. Toast is more like warmed bread even when we ask for it extra toasted. The potato chips and salsa are a lunch time favorite, both come out warm and made fresh. We like coming here when we are looking for a quick meal.“
“Well the reviews were perfect they do have the best fish and chips the cod was amazing. Great selection of beer!! Kelly was our waitress, bartender, and she was so friendly it's like we had known her forever. The pub looked just like you would have expected. Excellent historical artifacts. It was great to see people playing cribbage and enjoying themselves. Hope to see you again soon!!“
“Excellent local place. Food is good and they have gigantic portions. The only thing is that during peak lunch and dinner time the service can be a bit slow so just plan to go there on a night that you have plenty of time. Well worth it if you have time to stay and take in the atmosphere! Love the calamari steak sandwich!“
“Got a little lost, didn't intend to be in Salinas in the dark on a rainy night. Turned out to be great. Dubber's food was great bar food, the place was nice, the beer was cold and the service outstanding. Ask for Kelly. Old town Salinas was actually pretty cool, might be back in August.“
“Have been here a couple of times and the food has been good and reasonably priced. It's by the beach so you can sit outside and enjoy the view while you eat. I love the Buddha bowls! They have ample selection of choices to accompany food allergies, vegan and vegetarian diets and of course regular meat dishes. It's definitely a crowd pleaser. It gets busy so plan ahead. The service has been good and the staff very nice.“
“I love Patio burger. Always been my favorite place hands down for fast food cheese burger and French fries. They've been at this location Forever. Food is hot and made to order, hot fries too. Service is quick. Just a great roadside little burger stand. Who needs ambiance when the foods great! I always eat in my car anyways!“
“Those Portobello Burgers were perfect! Yummy!Vegetarian options: Their Portobello Burgers were delicious. The fries were cooked perfect, and were especially good with their sauce that is similar to Thousand Island without the pickle relish. So good.“
“My boyfriend and I were craving fish and chips on our drive down the 1 back in August, but most restaurants were either out of the way or on the pricy side, until we found the Giant Artichoke. We didn’t expect the fish and chips to be some of the best we had ever had given they have an artichoke centered menu. Let’s just say I STILL think about this restaurant six months later despite living eight hours away! I will definitely be stopping by next time I find myself on the 1.“
“Well where do I start...these past two weeks haven't been great. Our family is going thru the loss of a loved family member. That means I'm back in my hometown...Salinas, Ca. catching up with friends and family. After a long day we needed to just sit have a cocktail and eat some food. We pick a place that none of us had been to, it winded up be the highlight of the week. This place was such a delight and everything we needed. The Last Call Bar and Grill should be the first call, last call and every call in between. They simply just do it right without making it overly complicated! Quench your thirst, grab a pint of beer on tap or finely mixed top shelf cocktail. Now, let's talk food, not just any food but the basics...I'm talking french fries. Now if you can make a sliced up potatoe taste this delightful with an eye pleasing nice golden crisp on the outside and a fluffy moist (non-greasy mind you) fry with a spinkle of coarse kosher salt, dusting of ground black pepper and pinch of bright green parsley dance with flavor like this...you have more than just a line cook back in the kitchen, you have a chef confident in his skills. I'm talking fries made 7 different ways from the entry levels french fry to the Voodoo Fries (seasoned cajun fries topped with white velvet cheese, diced bell peppers (red, yellow and green) green onions & four blackened cajun shrimp) and other equally tasty appetizers. If that doesn't get you running to The Last Call well then let's continue. This is what we had during our three visits in one week with with multiple people. Appetizer: fries, Voodoo fries, sweet potato fries, calamari and spring roll comboEntree: tacos (carnitas, fish, chicken and steak), chicken strips, chicken alfredo pizza, last call burger, cold roast beef sandwich and bbq tri-tipSurprise entree from the Chef...it hasn't been added to the menu at the time this posting. All I can say it's a wrap with lite well balanced flavorful sauce that will leaving you wanting more. But, that's par for the course at The Last Call you will leave being a new regular and planning what you're going to order when you next swing by just like us. Be sure to tell the GM Raul that Sonny Ray sent you. I'll conclude by simply saying reading items on the menu doesn't sum up the how great the food is taste. So, order a drink and fries and really decide the two or three entrees you want eat...lol...it really is a tough decision!!!“
“Came here on the recommendation of our neighbors since they work nearby and we were in the area. I liked their sandwiche- Cali BLT. Also liked the pepper jelly, have never tried that before. LOVED the chips! Service was great! Our server was cheerful and can be pleasantly chatty (not with us but that's ok; I wasn't in a chatty mood). This place gives me some kind of a 70s feel with Bee Gees playing as I type this.“
“This is a local BBQ spot. It's personable, local, and welcoming. I like it. I frequent this eatery regularly. Once every couple of weeks. The meats are all good. Not necessarily super duper, fire, run home, and put it on the local news cast. It's ok.Chili beans are unique. They have their own special flavor. Like they're peppery. Like, black peppery. I liked them. Not cold. But temperature wise hot. I like that, too.The garden salad, believe it or not, i was pleasantly surprised. Simple but good.Overall, a good experience.“
“Came here on the recommendation of our hotel concierge as we were going to elkhorn slough. Great recommendation! Had the eggs benedict with skirt steak, and it was delicious. Buttermilk pancakes for my daughter were fantastic, and my wife had Dave's omelette and loved it. Overall I would come back here again and again, but do not live close enough, so it may just be today and again tomorrow. Then I'll have to wait for my next trip down highway 1.“
