“Stopped here on the way to Carmel-by-the-sea and OMG!!! They had a mix of beaker goods but also breakfast burritos,tacos and tamales. And i tired the chicken tamales and i was in heaven. So so so good. You need to stop by here and I'll be back.“

“The food at the restaurant is delicious. All servers are volunteers and proceeds go towards the maintenance of the house. Super knowledgeable docent led tours as well. I believe the schedule is posted on their website. Merchandise and books downstairs are terrific. There are several Steinbeck related souvenirs to choose from and good book selections!“

“This is a great taco shop. I love Mexican food, I've been up and down California trying different Mexican restaurants and rating them. My wife felt like the crunchy tacos that they serve here were the best she has ever had. I felt like the California burrito and the chicken were very tasty. If you don't serve chips and salsa with the meal I usually make my ranking four stars; but this one gets an extra star for the outdoor patio with the excellent view. Man's best friend is accommodated here. Bring your dog and sit with him outside. Great place to come if you're on a budget and you want to see the ocean but you don't want to high priced meal in Monterey or right on the beach! After a quick bite you could go down and watch the sunset! Enjoy!“

“We have been coming here for years and our experience has always been wonderful. To start with, when you arrive, you are seated immediately. Menus have many delicious options for Vietnamese food, and one thing I personally recommend is the #50. Portions here are large and we are satisfied every time we come here. Their ambiance here is okay and though this place can feel old and rundown at certain times.

In addition, along with the normal sodas, they have a few shakes though last time I went recently they didn’t have boba. Service here is great and usually doesn’t take long though employees can be a bit hard to understand sometimes due to their accents. Prices here are pretty reasonable, especially with the portions you get and restrooms, while not the cleanest, are fine.“

“Picked up food to go last year and it was really good. So happy that we found this place again! Ordered garlic parm and spicy fried chicken wing plates, lemongrass chicken and beef meatball pho. Also ordered strawberry and melon boba milk tea and Vietnamese coffee with egg cream. Food and drinks came out quickly. Customer service was great. It was so good that we ate and drank everything! “Decem and QQ gave us the BEST service we have EVER received. No exaggeration. They provided our group with such a wonderful experience and ALL of our food was amazing. We had chow mein, wings, Mongolian beef, sweet & sour chicken, rice, wor wonton soup, ginger tea, and the sesame seed dessert balls (I don’t remember what they were called). Staff is extremely wonderful 8n many ways. For example, I saw one go out of the way running outside to take a personal item someone left at their table.
We had the veggie sandwich with iced tea & pulled pork with a tap beer.
All tasted great, in fact, the veggie sandwich is the tastiest I've ever had. The pulled pork is also fantastic.

“We live in San Francisco and were visiting Monterey when we searched for a good Korean restaurant and decided to give this place a try. The restaurant was very busy when we arrived, and we were so happy to see such a wide variety of Korean dishes on the menu.

The three of us really enjoyed the food, especially because there were many dishes that are not easy to find in the U.S. Everything was generous, flavorful, and tasted homemade, just like Korean food should.

My mother especially loved the kimchi and said it was much better than the kimchi we usually buy at the market, so we even purchased some to take home. Honestly, the food was so delicious that even compared to what we would eat in Korea, we had absolutely nothing to complain about.

Everyone who worked there was also incredibly kind and welcoming, which made our meal even more enjoyable.

And I have to give a special thank-you to the staff for going out of their way to safely mail back the cardigan I accidentally left behind. I had only recently bought it, so I was really worried that I might lose it. I was so relieved and grateful to receive it back. Thank you so, so much! ❤
