Still looking for that perfect slice of pizza heaven in Salinas we decided to forego the national chain pizzas and try a regional chain. I last had Mountain Mike's when I waa poor young Stagehand and they had an all-you-can-eat buffet at lunch time. 40 years ago I was much more of a quantity over quality kind of guy so I loved it. Mountain Mike's Pizza. After the COVID-19, yes im starting out this way, this pizza chain came up as my go to places. A lot. And Round Table, formerly my top choice for franchise pizza restaurants dropped off my list completely.In Salinas i believe there are 3 of these spots. They're all pretty good for there own reasons. I ate chocolate cookie made with pizza dough for dessert, but I didn't expect it, but it was so delicious that I want to go eat again. I went to dinner on Monday, but the pizza came out right away, so it was warm and delicious.The salad was well prepared and fresh.I like Stalla beer but it was better than bottle beer.
