Not the friendliest customer service at all. Ordered online and decided to eat it there with my family. Wanted to purchase a 2-liter soda and originally told I’d have to buy the cups separately. Then when I wanted to just buy the soda I was told I couldn’t open it inside the restaurant due to it being “to-go only”. Absolutely nowhere on the menu does it say it is for to-go only. It didn’t make sense at all and they were not polite about it at all. Also, the place is full of flies and they have better specials in-store than online, which is really deceiving. The prices should match on both. We are never returning to this location.

Still looking for that perfect slice of pizza heaven in Salinas we decided to forego the national chain pizzas and try a regional chain. I last had Mountain Mike's when I waa poor young Stagehand and they had an all-you-can-eat buffet at lunch time. 40 years ago I was much more of a quantity over quality kind of guy so I loved it. As I got older (and fatter) quality became more important so I came to this visit with different expectations. The outlet I chose is the closest pizza to our house, in a strip mall but surprisingly spacious and welcoming. They still offer the weekday buffet, too. We ordered a Pike's Peak all meat pie with white sauce and it was just great. The meats were plentiful and good, just a touch spicey, and the sauce balanced the toppings pretty well. There was enough cheese, but it might-could have used a little more. The crust wasn't crispy, foldable like the best NY styles, but it was crispy and not burnt (unlike the national competitor).Overall it was better than the national chain we tried, but it's not as good as East Coast pie. 7/10, will probably be back when the pizza mood strikes.

Mountain Mike's Pizza. After the COVID-19, yes im starting out this way, this pizza chain came up as my go to places. A lot. And Round Table, formerly my top choice for franchise pizza restaurants dropped off my list completely.In Salinas i believe there are 3 of these spots. They're all pretty good for there own reasons. This one by N. Davis & Boranda area i like because of their Pizza specifically. The dough, toppings and overall flavor/texture of the pie is awesome. The best of the 3, im my opinion is here, again for the pie.The service has always been good too. I believe they recently renovated the place. Looks good. The staff looks like its cycled around 3 or 4 times. They still treated me very nicely.Its mainly a family oriented location. They've got several big TVs playing sports or sitcoms. They serve soft drinks, beer on tap and an ok salad bar( canned peaches if you like that. I do. Of the 3 this is the only one which i saw this).This one also, i thought, felt pricier but the pie itself is worth it. Not that the other locations were bad. This one has this that stood out, for me.Enjoy.No complaints
