Rombi Wine Winery • $$

“My husband and I recently took our honeymoon vacation. One of our stops was in Carmel, CA. We had the pleasure of visiting with Mr. Rombi at his tasting room and sampling his wine. Wow! Hands down, he produces the best red wine we have ever had! In addition, Mr. Rombi was very pleasant and knowledgeable. I'm so happy we stopped by there. We enjoyed our time at the tasting room very much and even brought some wine home with us to enjoy now and on our wedding anniversary. We also plan to order more wine in the future! I highly recommend Rombi wines.“

“Had a fantastic time doing a tasting at this winery! The owner, Steve happened to be at the tasting room while we were there. Georis Winery Wineries • $$
1 Pilot Rd, Carmel Valley

“Georis has a delightful tasting room, as well as the Corkscrew Cafe on the other side Pilot Road. On a Wednesday afternoon, my wife and I spent a delightful time tasting a mixed flight, and sampling two others, followed by an espresso from the cafe. All the wines were dry, European-style. The 2019 Clos des Moutons, their Bordeaux-style red blend, was exceptional.

Since we were the only people there, we had Ben's full attention for 2 hours. This is wine tasting the way it should be. Highly recommended as a quiet alternative to some of the larger tasting rooms.“

Bernardus Winery Wineries • $$

“We stumbled upon Bernardus Winery during our 2-day stay at Carmel Valley. We went in on Day 1 to ask for info on wine tasting. We came out a few hours later after tasting 4 different types of wine: Rose, Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Marinus Bordeaux Blend ($30/person)We sat in comfy chairs in the patio area. Very relaxing latmosphere for wine tasting particularly on a warm September day.Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable. They allowed us ample time to enjoy each wine before introducing the next one. We like the Marinus Bordeaux Blend 2015 so much we even bought a bottle! We totally enjoyed our wine tasting experience. Thank you Rouark for looking after us so well.Highly recommended if you are in the area.“

“Came here on a weekday around noon and enjoyed a lovely tasting. Although it was early December we enjoyed the open-air seating with views of the courtyard. Our host was bubbly, informative and balanced in chatting us up and giving us space to enjoy the wine privately.“
