“Lovely fall day to taste through of our fall club shipment. Denise was our server and she was/is sweet as ever and very knowledgeable about the wines produced here. Josh the winemaker is producing more solid wines now and they've invested in champagne making equipment and the sparkling Chard from Riverbench vineyard is nice. We're also fans of the music/band themed names for the wines.“
“My wife and I had a fantastic, fun time at Center Of Effort today, where staff Chef Lindsey hosted a pasta making class. We learned how to make three different filled pastas, then she turned our group loose with the pastas and other ingredients to make our own. The entire time we were making our pastas, Rob, the Hospitality Manager, kept our glasses filled with their sparkling wine. While Lindsey and assistant Chef Chris were using our hand-made delights to make our lunch, Nathan, the winemaker and GM, took our group on a mini vineyard tour, then back to the production area for a barrel tasting. Lunch was delicious, so I guess our group paid attention in class. As an added fun thing we all got to keep our Center Of Effort aprons! No question that this a "must visit" winery!“
“This is such a great family winery I just can't say enough good things about everyone working there! My favorite is sitting outdoors and relaxing with a great glass of wine. I especially like the Tempranillo, Zinfandel and Pinot Noir. I've been working through some health issues and they did a very nice thing for me - completely unexpected and truly appreciated. “Located in the walkable Arroyo Grande village, this is really two excellent wineries in one place. Really great, friendly experience, with excellent wines. The new location is lovely, with indoor, patio, and outdoor seating, with tasteful decorations. We loved the Spanish-inspired wines of Verdad, but are also fans of the Lindquist brand. You can taste from a wide variety, including Albariño, Cabernet Sauvignon, Tempranillo, Grenache, Pinot Noir, Syrah, Chardonnay, Rose, Viognier, Mourvedre, Marsanne, GSM, Graciano, and Carignan, and the tasting menu changes every week or two. It lools like they allow food from the restaurant next door in the outdoor area, so I can see returning for a snack and enjoying a bottle at the same time.“
