“We had a delightful afternoon date at this tasting room, which is ideal for spending quality time with someone special. The ambiance strikes a perfect balance between contemporary and inviting, and the staff truly excels in making your experience special. The wines are exceptional, the sort that you can't resist sharing with loved ones. We were really enjoyed both the patio and the cozy lounge inside. On their excellent recommendation, we even took a bottle home as a gift. It's evident that great care and passion are poured into every aspect of this tasting room and its wines.“
“During our trip to Santa Ynez, Refugio Ranch stood out as our favorite stop. Alex’s warm welcome and friendly service allowed us to sit back, relax, and enjoy.
The wines at Refugio ended up being our favorites of the entire trip. The world-class smash burger and lobster roll were welcomed additions to the experience as well. You must try the food if you go here on the weekend.
We went to Refugio 3 separate times during our stay! I cannot praise this establishment enough. Can’t wait to return on our next trip to the area.“
“The biggest problem here is that there are to many good wines to chose from. So we just ordered them all.“
“Phenomenal wines!. Blake is exceptional and knowledgeable and makes every trip there worthwhile. (They are appointment only.)“
“Surprised this spot doesn't have more reviews! Visited in January with a few friends in the wine scene in SB county and Sunny was a brilliant hostess. I wasn't much of a wine person until I visited this area and Future Perfect was definitely part of that turning point!“
“Outstanding winery Delicious wines (Gamay all day) Great Team Beautiful Grounds (they even have Emus) They have a pizza oven with Chef onsight“
“I had a great time last month at Holus Bolus. Amy has an exciting winemaking style that showcases the best of what the Santa Rita Hills can be. It was also great to hear about her experiences making wine and plans for the future of her brand.“
“This is the E11even tasting room, which is Andrew Murray's second label. While Andrew Murray Vineyards is delicious and has some standouts, we both prefer E11even, and as a bonus - they're more affordable. Becoming a member here also gets you the member perks at Andrew Murray as well. The sauv blanc, petit syrah, petit verdot, and cab franc are all standouts.
Alice usually runs the tasting room solo, and she's awesome. Loads of info and always up for a friendly chat. Well worth stopping by!“
“Love this place! Had a great experience with friends. That atmosphere is very relaxing. The wine is great!“
“In the the wine-riddled and artisanal town of Los Olivos, the tasting room of Toretti's functions together and apart with the shaded selection of wineries. Pancho, the one man behind and in front of the downtown operation, is a winemaker with a pantheon of world-shaping theories and adventures to share. His sense of humor will keep you kicking it at the bar or laughing in the leather chairs of this luxuriously furnished lounge area for hours. Hi commitment to producing top-notch pinot noir will knock you into new territory with each new vintage. And his open-ended air of camaraderie will ensure that you find him ready and waiting to lift your spirits even in the face of rain, heat, or June gloom. Take a journey off the beaten path and away from the main drag for a discovery that's more elemental than a quark particle.“
“Great visit to a beautifully situated vineyard in a breathtaking landscape - surrounded by its own vineyards.
Super ambiente on the terrace in front of the Tasting Room.
Strictly elegant wines. Both Chardonnay and Pinot Noir impressive.“
“Michael, the wine maker, hosted us, a group of 8, at the vineyard. We sat outside at a long outside table surrounded by the vines and grapes. As we tasted, we also walked around the vines, even got to taste the grapes since it was harvest season. All the wines we tasted were very lovely. We purposed several bottles to take back to Chicago with us. I would highly recommend visiting this beautiful vineyard with gorgeous views located in Los Olivos.“
“We enjoyed your wines while visiting from South Carolina.“
“So many places to choose from. How does one decide which one to go to.
Theoretically one can go to all of them- you need gumption or time or no driving later or a place to stay in LO or a lot of money or all of the above. Coming from far away Dubai, we had to choose one and we chose SoS- and we are glad we did. All the wines were very good- my favourite though was the Gamay. Very light and with an afterthought of a taste.
Alyssa (hope I got the name right) was amazing. Explained all the stuff about the wines. Very well travelled (best of luck traveling to Italy to try out the wines this time).
All wines in neutral oak. Enjoyed ourselves.
Highly recommended.“
“Try your skills at being wine maker for the day at Artiste! What a fun experience! Enjoyed learning about blending wine. Artiste has a unique approach to wine making starting with creative label artwork. The art defines the wine! I loved every ounce of the experience and was thrilled with Coterie’s second place rating in the blind taste test out of 30+ blends.“
“This is a smaller tasting room, but nicely laid back. Becca loves sharing what she knows about wine and learning about what works for YOU and why. Prolly would have gone home with a few bottles anyway but Becca made the experience even better. Plus they feature plenty of unusual varietals. Malvasia? Never even heard of it!“
“This winery has a small but pretty tasting room in Olivios. The wines were uniformly fabulous (sadly I am a very experienced wine drinker so I know:)). Our small group loved the cabs and the rose also really stood out. We loved the wines so much that we arranged a tour of the vineyard which was stunning, like one would expect in Santa Barbara. Looks like a beautiful spot for an event. Happy canyon is what i recall — it was located a few miles from Olivios. Great wine!“
“Beautiful scenery, fabulous wines and charming hosts!“
“Great wine, relaxing patio, wonderful service - what more could be asked for! We stopped in with our newborn and dog to taste some of their wines on the patio and had an amazing time! We especially loved the carbonic Pinot Noir, but everything was great. Highly recommend!“
“Nestled along one of the most picturesque roads in the region, Beckmen Winery is a hidden gem that boasts not only stunning outdoor views but also a charming indoor tasting room. From the moment you arrive, you're greeted by the beauty of the surroundings, setting the stage for an unforgettable wine tasting experience. The outdoor seating area offers panoramic views of the vineyards, providing the perfect backdrop for savoring a glass of wine on a sunny day. Meanwhile, the cozy indoor tasting room exudes warmth and hospitality, inviting guests to relax and enjoy the company of friends and loved ones. But it's not just the ambiance that makes Beckmen Winery stand out—it's the exceptional wines they offer. During our visit, we had the pleasure of sampling a variety of their offerings, and each one surpassed our expectations. However, two wines truly stole the show: the 2022 Purisima Mountain Vineyard Viognier and the 2021 Santa Ynez Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. These wines were a testament to the skill and dedication of the winemakers, showcasing the unique terroir of the region. Our tasting experience was made even more memorable thanks to our bartender, Carols. His charisma, extensive knowledge, and genuine passion for wine elevated our visit to Beckmen Winery to new heights. His attentive service and personalized recommendations truly made us feel like valued guests.During our time at the winery, we were fortunate enough to witness the beauty of the grounds in various weather conditions, from the tranquility of a clear day to the ethereal atmosphere of a light rain shower. And to top it all off, we were greeted by a sweet little kitty who added an extra touch of charm to our visit. In conclusion, Beckmen Winery exceeded all of our expectations, and we can't wait to return. From the breathtaking views to the exceptional wines and outstanding service, this is a destination that we wholeheartedly recommend to anyone looking for an unforgettable wine tasting experience.“
“Good hotel and wonderful service“
“We've been coming to taste with them for close to 10 years now and they have treated us right tye entire time. Truly this is the one place you need to visit if you want a taste of Santa Rita hills. The pinots they have are unmatched. Join the wine club and thank me later.“
“Had an amazing experience at Tensley. Sabrina (the tasting room associate) was amazing. She described the wines to a tee and gave a great experience. The grenache rose was phenomenal and the flagship syrahs were elegant and delicious. 10/10 recommend“
“The most delicious wine! Song For Susan! And Meekah (sp?) is excellent! Friendly, funny, social, and full of knowledge!“
“My recent visit to Andrew Murray Winery in Los Olivos, CA, was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we stepped foot onto the estate, we were greeted with warmth and hospitality. Our wine tender, Shanna, was not only knowledgeable but also incredibly kind, enhancing our tasting experience.
The selection of wines offered for tasting was impressive, but it was the Grenache that truly stole the show. Its rich flavor and smooth finish convinced me to take a bottle home to savor later.
The estate itself is a sight to behold, boasting breathtaking scenery and a charming patio setting adorned with heaters and yard games. The pet-friendly atmosphere was a delightful surprise, allowing us to enjoy our time with our furry companions by our side.
Overall, Andrew Murray Winery offers more than just exceptional wines; it provides a memorable experience that leaves a lasting impression. I highly recommend a visit to anyone looking for a delightful wine-tasting adventure in the heart of California wine country.“
“We came here and had an excellent time. I can’t say enough good things about Emi. She was incredibly kind, provided excellent service and recommendations, and was such a joy to be around. I highly recommend spending time on their patio and certainly recommend Emi ! Thank you for the wonderful time !“
“Zaca Mesa Winery and the entire team is simply THE BEST! My husband and I got married in October 2024 and toured the venue roughly 2 years prior. Would you believe me if I told you Zaca Mesa was the first and ONLY venue we toured for our wedding? We loved the property and the people SO much that we didn’t need to look any further. We booked it right away! We were beyond satisfied with everything! Tara, the events manager, is an absolute dream to work with. She is so kind, so responsive and very helpful. My wedding planner even told me Tara was her favorite venue coordinator she’s ever worked with! It is truly a magical location and we could not recommend them enough! My guests were raving about how gorgeous the venue was! And the wine! The wine is smooth, delicious, and affordable. We wish we could get married here over and over again! Obsessed!!!!“
“Bryan was awesome. This chardonnay was my favorite in the entire area. There's so many wine tasting shops to chose from, this was was well thought out and curated BEAUTIFULLY.
So knowledgeable and helpful.
Not wine snobs, just cool people who enjoy good wine!“
“We had a great experience this weekend. We only stopped to pick up our shipment but the lady welcomed us and convinced to stay for a tasting. We had a wonderful person help us who was studying for his somelier test and told us about the wine and a recent trip to India.“
“I usually do not like to write reviews but this one is well worth a sip.I happened to walk into this charming little boutique wine store and tasting room on Grand Ave in Los Olivos. Mike, the owner was friendly and extremely knowledgeable about the wines in the region as well as around the world. You could see he has a passion for this business.A good variety of wines to taste and purchase at respective prices. Definitely worth the walk in out of all the stores on the street. Then buy a bottle and eat at one of the restaurants that accept BYOB. A true spirit of small town USA in California.I will be back to fill my wine fridge for friends and family. A perfect break on my drive to Monterey.“
