“Excellent wines and an amazing experience every time. I’ve tried mostly reds, and the quality is consistently outstanding—rich, well-crafted, and full of character.
The atmosphere is fun, relaxing, and welcoming, making it a perfect place to unwind. The owners truly make this place special—they greet you with a smile, engage in meaningful conversation, and share the story behind each wine, which adds a personal and memorable touch.
Every bottle feels like a celebration of life, love, and success. My favorite so far is the McKlein – Promise Keeper. Absolutely love this place!“
“This place has a great varieties of wines and has a warm welcoming atmosphere!“
“Alma Rosa Winery is nothing short of exceptional. It is a true gem in Santa Rita Hills and a must-visit for anyone who appreciates world-class Pinot Noir and Chardonnay.
What sets Alma Rosa apart begins with its legendary founder. Richard Sanford is widely regarded as the pioneer who brought Pinot Noir to Santa Rita Hills. Sanford is not only a visionary; he belongs on the Mount Rushmore of Pinot Noir winemakers. His influence shaped the region into one of the world’s most respected Pinot Noir appellations, and his legacy is deeply woven into the DNA of Alma Rosa. You are not simply tasting wine here. You are tasting history, innovation, and mastery in every glass.
The wines themselves are elegant, expressive, and beautifully balanced, showcasing the terroir of Santa Rita Hills with precision and restraint. Each pour reflects thoughtful craftsmanship and a deep respect for the vineyard.
The tasting courtyard is equally unforgettable. Serene, beautifully designed, and incredibly relaxing. It creates the perfect environment to slow down, savor the wines, and truly appreciate the experience.
Most impressive was the staff. Warm, welcoming, highly knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate. She elevated the tasting with thoughtful insights, approachable explanations, and sincere hospitality that never felt scripted or rushed.
Alma Rosa is not just a winery. It is a pilgrimage site for Pinot Noir lovers. Whether you are a casual wine enthusiast or a serious collector, this experience will stay with you long after the last sip.“
“One of the best wineries in Solvang. Quaint and modern, bar seating and indoor lounge vibe with outside fire pit tables. Always delicious. If you are looking to join a wine club the Consilience is our pick. Always reliable and very yummy. Like most of Solvang they are dog friendly.“
“Natalie was a great host and the wine was delicious. We left with a bottle. 😊 🍷“
“I first visited in 2010 during a Stagecoach wine tour. Jeff and his wine were equally amazing. I joined his club that day and remain a member today.
We have since returned several times for tastings and visiting with the horses on his ranch. Each visit has been exceptional. This week we spent a night in the guest house, which is available for rent. The accommodations were excellent, and only overshadowed by Jeff and Joanne's hospitality and generosity. Jeff spent hours riding with my daughter and providing her with invaluable education and training.
If you are considering a wine tasting in Buellton or Solvang, you should go on a tour with Stagecoach and request a visit to Bella Cavalli. If you are looking for a great place to stay in the area, I cannot recommend Bella Cavalli more strongly.“
“Eddie is so friendly and knowledgeable. I came here with my family to celebrate my mom’s 60th birthday, and Sanger Family of Wines definitely added to that experience! The vibes are upscale and cozy - perfectly blended together. Definitely make this a stop on your trip, it’s worth every sip!“
“Great Wines, Great People, Great Times , Happy New Year 🥳“
“We came here to taste a selection of their wine, and informed that we had an engagement prior. We really loved the their Chardonnay wine, and when it came to paying. He offered the bottle for free! It was a great pleasure coming here, and we will 100% return. Thank you from the bottom of our heart“
“Amazing wine, amazing view, amazing service!!!“
“Just a great vide Friendly Very good wines Not a wine drinker but the red was excellent“
“We visited Lincourt without a reservation hoping we might be able to get a spot and were welcomed so warmly. Julian served us and had such deep knowledge of the wine and history of the winery. We had a bottle of the Courtney chardonnay and it was bright and crisp, perfect for a hot afternoon. Julian was so kind and helpful and we enjoyed the comfortable seating, great and quick service, and calm atmosphere. This place is a perfect place to visit, a bit off the beaten path for SB wineries and a smaller and more intimate experience, which is exactly what we were looking for. Highly recommend.“
